  1. Palmetto State is what I saw posted on another forum, but out of stock now. http://palmettostatearmory.com/vortex-strike-eagle-1-8x24mm-riflescope-vortex-sport-cantilever-30mm-ring-mount.html http://palmettostatearmory.com/vortex-strike-eagle-1-8x24mm-ar-bdc2-reticle-rifleschope-se-1824-1.html
  2. Saw that on another forum, good deal and tempting to store in the safe for my next build.... I'm hoping HB Industries or a couple other places have a discount, am looking for CZ Scorpion upgrades (charging handle, grip, trigger maybe).
  3. 19 definitely. Good size for carry and for the range. The 43 of course can conceal better but not as good of a range gun (accuracy, ease of shooting).
  4. I saw a report last night that his in-laws lived in town, but not that they went to that church. My thought upon reading that report was in-laws either were there or known to frequent the church, and were his true target.
  5. FYI if you are looking for a new press or other equipment. Remember to stack cred card bonuses, Active Junky, discounts on gift cards, etc. to make it an even better deal. 6. I've got a few on the list....bought from Amazon this year when we moved since in a larger house now. Will see what the process will be to get these replaced.
  7. "Why do you have so many guns? You can only shoot one at a time..." Yeah, I hear some of the same questions, or used to anyways. She has started to understand more over the past 2 years.
  8. The new timeline is really interesting....the hero security guard was shot several minutes before any of the other shooting. More and more questions arise it seems.
  9. I read on another forum that 340ish of the injuries were gunshot wounds. There was nothing to back up that statement and I haven't seen anything official.
  10. Catching up on stuff after work....that letter is supposedly just immigration procedure. It was a close-up leak from 4chan so who knows but could be why the paper seems to be largely ignored.
  11. I had them out to look at a water heater the other week, as part of the warranty the sellers included when we bought the house this spring. The tech didn't do anything to fix the issue but pointed out some things not to code that another private plumber hadn't mentioned before. He gave me a quote to replace it all up to code with what the warranty covered. The next day, more water leaking so I called Home Warranty America and got the run around, basically what I expected. We won't replace it until it can no longer be repaired at all, a leak is not damaging and the unit still functions, we don't cover code issues even though the warranty says we do.... Called the private plumber I had used before, final bill was only $300 more out of pocket than if I had used the warranty. Full replacement of the tank (on my schedule) with the expansion tank and other code stuff complete.
  12. The one photo from inside the room shows a table with what looks like a note on it, held down by a roll of tape. Several people on the other forum pointed it out too but I haven't heard/seen anything official.
  13. Let it sit overnight at least, possibly for a full 24 hours. I have seen this recommended but never tried myself, use a ziplock bag or wax paper between the pistol and leather to stretch it slightly while still having a snug fit.
  14. Brass plated steel per their website.
  15. I agree that using the monitoring service offered by the hacked company doesn't make the most sense. I'm not signing up for it, would never trust it. I keep a close eye on our various accounts and credit through Credit Karma but think I am going to check on LifeLock or similar services after this hack.
  16. It took them 4 weeks to announce it publicly too, during which time several executives sold $2 million in stock before that could tank....Saw earlier the Senate plans to investigate. I've been following the news on it the past few days. There are multiple lawsuits filed, so get in on the $3.49 you are owed through class action suit...
  17. I made my own rechargeable bags. Buy a 5# bag of dessicant at Hobby Lobby or similar, and some mesh bags (think they were wedding gift bags or similar with a drawstring). Dump however much you want in the bags and tie off. I've been using them for a couple years now. I place the bags on a cookie tray in the oven at 230* to recharge (could likely use a higher temp from all I have read).
  18. I have the Inline Fab junior ultramount quick change and it is great. I can very easily swap out my 2 presses and they are very secure when installed in the mount. The flush mount would have been nice but I wanted to raise the press.
  19. Received mine too! Thanks!!
  20. Anyone can shoot, entry fee for non Strategic Edge member is $25. You do not have to be a USPSA member, but this is a classifier match (it takes 4 classifier stage scores to be ranked for someone starting out).
  21. Long range qualifier is free as mentioned. It is a safety level 2 with long range ballistics class. Everything else I have seen has a price - Precision rifle, handgun, reloading, medical, etc. But the prices are reasonable IMO for what is offered.
  22. Atlas QD bipod. I wish I had ponied up and bought it much sooner.
  23. Pretty sure I saw a post on the national forum that they were closing the store. That was several weeks back, they were advertising sales. ETA - try a few months back, first announced in February. http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_8_38/610613_Closing-our-Clarksville-TN-Store---30--off-Storewide-.html
  24. I had a SSA-E and it was a great trigger. But I ended up selling it and going with the LaRue MBT-2S. The LaRue is a great trigger at half the cost, I have two of them (one in a LaRue and the second in my built 6.8). You are right there are multiple options, and I don't think you will be disappointed in any of the big name offerings.
