I watched the entire thing, it did go downhill. As stated I'm sure they were bussed in for this publicity stunt, but maybe not because people really are this stupid. Comments like only want criminals to be armed, we want to ban ar-15s but not take your guns, 10 rounds is too many to defend yourself..... Do people really not remember how to think before they speak and realize how ignorant they sound? Because really everyone is safer if only criminals have guns "because they don't want to kill you, just take your stuff..."

A whole new level of civil disobedience....
TNMTBik3r replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Very mixed feelings on this. It would be far to easy for this protest to turn into a bloodbath, which would almost certainly be the tipping point for some of the House/Senate members who currently vote with us. I do believe the better option would be to march with a hi-cap magazine, folding stock, etc but not an actual firearm. -
The "Final Solution" to the "Patriot Question."

Lmao! The terrorists at the NRA.... I know many people who do not always agree with the stance and announcements made by the NRA, but it is an organization whose goals for the most part are the collective goals of the group. It is not a terrorist group controlled by a handful of people at the top. "You can't fix stupid", if we could then the 2nd Amendment and other restrictions to our freedoms would not even be a discussion. -
Dear Gun Control Democrats: 6 Ways to Make a Better Argument

Someone else posted a link the other day to that article and I took the time to read through it. there are some great points made. It is a long read but was well worth the time. -
Watched the entire season with my fiancé. Great show for the most part, I understand its a TV show and they have to attract viewers but were some really dumb decisions made by characters.

RCBS Little Dandy powder measure opinions
TNMTBik3r replied to TNMTBik3r's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I am primarily using Titegroup, it meters well just aggravating to try and adjust between the two charges. The micrometer adjustment is about $41 plus shipping and the Little Dandy is $36 plus $12 for each rotor (so am looking at $80 or so). Decisions.... I will order one or the other when payday hits next. -

Hmm, I have heard about the micrometer charfe adjustments but haven't really looked into it. Will check into it now. Thanks! -
RCBS Little Dandy powder measure opinions
TNMTBik3r replied to TNMTBik3r's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Thanks for the replies. I have the RCBS turret as well so may consider buying the bench mount. I have been watching eBay and other sites, the rotors aren't exactly cheap but I only need a couple of them. I think it will be worth the investment to help save me time and the hassle of trying to dial in the Uniflow. -
Lifetime membership can be had for something like $300 right now... I saw a post about it the other day.

Does anyone here have the Little Dandy powder measure, if so what are your thoughts on how it functions in regards to ease of changing rotors and accuracy of the thrown charges? I have the Uniflow measure and it does the job, but is a hassle to change between my 9mm and 40cal loads (0.8 grain difference can take several minutes to correctly dial in). I am considering the Little Dandy measure and the needed rotors for my 2 pistol loads, and using the Uniflow measure strictly for loading .223. I hand measure my 30-06 loads with a measuring spoon stolen from the kitchen as I want consistent accuracy for hunting. I appreciate any thoughts on this measure or any similar models/options to easily dial in small charges. Price is a concern, otherwise I would purchase an electronic powder measure.

I hope so.... I rarely get on Facebook so didn't know they were working together.

I have the book, really appreicate what Kyle and the other service men/women have done for us. The way he passed (murdered) was deeply upsetting. Unfortunately I have very little faith in Hollywood being able to respectfully honor his service and life, but I hope they can prove me wrong and honor this hero.

I am using Hodgdon Titegroup, very little to no smoke with 4.0 grains shooting 124 grain 9mm and 4.8 grains, 165 grain in my 40cal. Accuracy is in line with my expectations too. I know some people claim Titegroup is dirty, but my opinion is it leaves the same amount of gunk as shooting the same amount of factory ammo, but easier to cleanup.

For the most part dies are interchangeable. Thread size can be different, but that is more special case dies and presses (50bmg for example). The Lee press and Lyman presses both use 7/8 - 14 inch die threads which is the "standard".

I turned on the prelims halfway into that fight. I didn't realize he was from Knoxville, that's cool. The ref didn't call that right, very controversial....

I will be going up Saturday morning, need some more 9mm bullets and maybe other stuff. I bought primers from David's booth at Hendersonville but didn't talk as the booth was swamped.

I think I have went to the range all but 4 weekends so far this year. The panic and shortages haven't really hurt me, I have been able to find what I needed. Except .22lr, but my parents brought me down 2k rounds they found at Bass Pro up north and since then I have been able to get some at Academy. And since I was able to get small pistol primers a couple of weeks ago I have really been able to shoot my pistols- I even went out in the drizzle today and popped off 100 rounds. Great find OP. I don't fault anyone for buying what they can find, as long as they use it and not out to make a profit.

Murfreesboro Police gun buyback this Saturday

Damn I wish I had some money to spare, I would go up there and help collect :) -
I'm an IT tech and strongly recommend Intel and Nvidia over AMD and ATI,but to each his own. Your selections aren't too bad, but personal experiencs force me to recommended a board besides Gigabyte - I used to build machines fulltime and had a 75% dead on arrival for that brand. Also go ahead and order the sata DVD drive and hard drive - DVD drive is about $25 and a hard drive can be had in the $60 range. No point in having all the equipment and not being able to install Windows and use the machine. Also may be worth checking Tiger Direct, pricing and support are better IMO.

That is Lock and Load - Gary the owner is a great guy. He told me he almost refused to try and sell that ammo at the requested price but ended up taking it on consignment. His prices on his inventory are very fair, but with such a little store he cannot keep much inventory but I have priced ordering stuff through him before and it is reasonable. Gary is a range officer out at Mary Co Gun Club as well. I forgot to mention Steve's early, glad you brough him up. Prices there are normally very fair and Darrell always has a good selection of firearms. His reloading component shelves have been kept bare, at least when I have been able to swing by the store.

"Did you contact your Reps to day" Roll call
TNMTBik3r replied to RED333's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I try to email once a week. I just sent an email personally thanking the Senators who voted against the Universal Background Check bill and urged them to continue standing strong. This fight is far from over though. -
That is great! I am only 24 but I grew up with Ray Stevens stuff - my parents really liked him and we had every cassette and even several VHS movies. Classic stuff.

I refuse to go into Kings anymore, just like I will never again order from CheaperThanDirt. Teds marked stuff up but not too badly. Lock and Load is real small so doesn't have a huge inventory but Gary is extremely fair with his prices. As noted above Academy and Dunham's can get better prices, so less markup to the end buyer. Only problem with Dunham's is I haven't seen pistol ammo there in months.
