  1. I am studying up on Netscalers now - we have 4 installed in our data center and I will be installing some in Q3 in our new DR site.   And I agree on system center - damn good management tool.   Anyways, enough thread hijacking :)  good luck with your search, my couple of contacts don't know anyone at this time.
  2. I have a couple of years experience with Exchange (still help manage a small internal server) but virtualization certainly has been the correct path. I just got my Citrix cert last week and have my VMware exam later this year. Everyone is on the virtualization and mobility wagons these days.
  3. I would say unbelievable, but... this type of crap is too common nowdays. A wanted felon breaking into your house is not aggression? I agree with some of the comments, warning shot should have been aimed higher (report said he fired into the ground).
  4. I knew I should have pursued Exchange training instead of all the virtualization stuff  :)  Good luck finding someone, I have a couple of contacts I will reach out to for you.
  5. I picked up the Winchester 24 gun safe at TSC this weekend. I like it, very sturdy feeling and customizable interior. Took a while to get it inside and properly installed (just me and a buddy, be much easier with more people or moving dolly or furniture pads) but it looks great. I really like the electronic keypad vs messing with a combination. My only gripe is there is not a backup method (key) to open the safe but that is minor - keep some extra batteries around and change every couple of months.
  6. I change the oil in my ranger at 7500 miles. I put 100 miles a day on it driving interstate to work. I use synthetic oil. Manual says 5-10k depending on driving conditions, oil is rated for 15k but I would rather spend more and change it more often than blow something up.
  7. My process (this is for my 30-06 deer rifle mainly) is to start at the minimum load (average across my 3 books is 54 grains for example) and increase by 1 grain until I hit the maximum (ended up with 54, 55, and 56). I load in batches of 7. My rifle is zeroed with factory ammo, I test at 100 yards. I shoot the first group of 7, spaced 30-60 seconds between shots. Measure the overall group, measure the best 3 shots. Record results, wait 10 minutes for barrel to cool and then shoot batch 2. Repeat, batch 3. I take the best powder load and then adjust the OAL slightly and load another batch of 7. This process has worked well for me. I just finished finding the right recipe for my Savage using Barnes TTSX bullets last weekend. The 7 shot groups seem to be a better test than just 5 shot groups, and I can get an average of the overall and best 3 in the group to compare.
  8. I have an aluminium fence, put up 3 years ago and it cost me $12 per foot installed. A wood fence was almost the same price at the time. Edit, that included price with a 48 inch gate installed.
  9. I actually flew over part of OK yesterday and saw some dark clouds out the windows, but had no idea about the damage and loss of life until we landed in LA. If anyone here has family/friends in the area I hope all are fine.
  10. Exactly, in some areas crime specifically with firearms involved are so common in areas that the media outlets ignore it. Unless it is in a "quiet neighborhood" or a child is involved.
  11. Maury County is similar, there is an RO but almost always sitting in a building and unable to even see 2 of the 3 pistol ranges. Honestly, I've been to ranges where even having a RO sitting 6 feet away hasn't helped.
  12. Wow! I thought I had seen some idiots at the range here but nothing quite that severe. Glad everyone made it out of there safely.
  13. Good choice! I have the Smith SD9 (wanted just a cheap target 9mm) and I put the Apex Tactical trigger kit on...was well worth the $20.
  14. I have a good amount now, but when the panic first started I was low. Thankfully I was able to get the reloading components I needed and got some .22lr a few times at Academy or Bass Pro so now I am set. Yes, I wish I had more, but I have enough to allow me to shoot as much as normal and enough components to keep reloading and keep my current level.   As a poster above said, stocking is with the intent to use it, hoarding is more having it just for the hell of it even if not needed. Most shooters I know fall in the stocking category as they intend to shoot what they have.
  15. Work has me traveling the next 3 or 4 weekends now so I'm going to have to wait. I am definitely interested in learning and trying to tag along at some point.
  16. I know for the Hornady those are normal pre-scare prices. I prefer the critical duty rounds though, but both have the polymer tip.
  17. I had the GSG522, was good for about 500 rounds and then nothing but issues, FTFeed/Fire and FTE. I would clean it, be able to shoot half a magazine, then the issues would start back. Happened with all brands of ammo, and with factory and aftermarket mags. I got tired of it, traded for a Ruger 10/22 and some cash. I have heard really great things about some of the other replicas though.
  18. I haven't bought any ammo in 5 or 6 months. I have had to buy powder and primers to reload, but didn't pay ridiculous prices. I am set on .22 for a while.
  19. Never tried it, but I heard it is a lot of fun. I would be interested in tagging along depending on when and where.
  20. Unless they kill bin Laden, then it is declassified overnight....
  21. 2 years maybe? Good show, looking forward to watching it again.
  22. My insurance through work (Aetna) isn't even accepted at Walgreen's anymore so I don't go there. In December for whatever reason (was too lazy to dig into it at the time) we were told as of the beginning of the year Walgreen's was refusing to accept Aetna insurance. That aside, all their prices are always higher (say $2 higher for a 12 pack compared to Kroger or Walmart) so I have never been too fond of stopping there.
  23. I actually watched the movie last night, it was pretty good. I own the entire book set but haven't had the time to read them yet. Usually I would read the books first but 17 books takes a while.
  24. Everyone who participates needs to be background checked! /s I think I will be watching the news closely that day to see what happens. I support the idea, just not the proposed fashion (armed, loaded carry).
