  1. Yes...Orange and White Saturdays are back!!! Will be watching Vandy tonight, hell I watch every football game I can regardless of teams. Love college football.
  2. I live south of Nashville, no wild hogs in the area that I am aware of yet. I know hogs are an issue just a couple hours away (Crossville area) but I don't know anyone in that area to try and hunt private land. I have never liked hunting public land so the WMA areas during deer season is not desired even though it is a possible option. What I am looking for is the chance to shoot a couple for meat. The outfitters in East TN specialize in trophy boar from what I see on their websites, and hunts are priced accordingly. Does anyone know of affordable opportunities to put some meat in the freezer? I have considered calling a couple of the outfitters to see about pricing for a couple of meat hogs, just haven't gotten around to it. I wouldn't mind making the two hour drive just for a day of hunting if I knew odds of success were high. Thanks for any info you might have.
  3. I have never done that but know a couple people I work with have. It seems like s good idea if you have the account and funds in it.
  4. I used CareCredit for my LASIK surgery... 2 years 0% and this way I can use my HSA to pay it off over the two years. No issues with it, but it is a credit card...
  5. The article makes it sound as if he didn't mean to kill him...I know what my intent would have been in a similar situation. I cannot understand how some people are capable of the things they do to children but at least this is one less pos alive.
  6. Agreed - die part number and pics of the brass will be beneficial to try and figure this out. I would be extremely shocked at two sets of defective dies from RCBS but less likely events have occurred before...
  7. If you are wanting to shoot a reduced load, you first have to find what works and then slowly reduce powder in stages. I did this with my 9mm...started midrange with 4.2 grains of Titegroup, verified function and accuracy through 100 rounds and then slowly began reducing powder to get a reliable reduced recoil load. I found that 3.5 grains was the bare minimum for 90% reliability in MY pistol, so I went with 3.7 grains for 100% and a small margin of error with my powder measure or scale. In this case, it seems you started off on the low side to begin with. My method to find a starting load is look at my manuals and average the min/max loads for the bullet/powder combo between what is in the books (I use 2-5 resources to find the average). And remember every pistol is different so a minimum reliable load in one may not function in the second.
  8. I saw some just over a month ago at A-H Reloading. Haven't been anywhere since but I have about 400 gold dots still to load in 9mm so I don't really watch for hollow points anyways.
  9. Trying to wait patiently... And yeah, the Opie events were difficult...
  10. I haven't used it for an XP client, but hyper-v works great. The version with Windows 8/Server 2012 is simple to configure. VMware is the way to go though if you are looking to build a true virtual infrastructure, but Hyper-V is awesome for small offices or home use.
  11. I use used ones and they work fine.
  12. I dump mine out after each use, then use the shop vac to get any residue out. Works for me. and a dryer sheet rubbed in the hopper helps with powder clinging.
  13. I have an original working NES. And a PS3. Hardly ever play them anymore though. When I play my ps3 it is call of duty, socom, or skyrim.
  14. His brother was on Twitter earlier saying this was bullshit and for places to check their facts. Not sure what really happened but I don't blame GZ for looking around at weapons. And a tour of KelTec, just think about how much publicity they received with the trial.
  15. Would be fun but can't make it. GMX (geek media expo) is in November, going to try and go. I've went to it a couple times before but I know its nothing like ComicCon or DragonCon.
  16. They work very well with powder coating as described in that thread.
  17. I highly recommend Falcon too. I need to buy more, but new truck tires and some other bills take precedence over my reloading hobby....
  18. Titles are over rated. I was hired as an IT Analyst, Corporate title showed as Senior IT Management Analyst which is a title that paid 3 times what I make. My real duties are a SysAdmin, but now Corporate has changed my title to Infrastructure Management Analyst which again is a much higher paying title than what I get. As long as I am making money, I don't Carr about the title. But I know a bunch of people exactly as you describe, some seem to care more about what is after their name (certs and title) than how much they make. I don't even list my certs except on resume.
  19. If you play on NFL.com and want in a free keeper league, look for Pride of the South. Live online draft August 29, one spot left right now but may have two openings (friend may not play this year).
  20. I know there has been a bunch of talk about manufacturers leaving certain states over the past several months, but this was the first post I remember seeing where Nashville has possibly made the short list. Would be nice to have a company local.
  21. I have one on NFL.com. but I just do the free league with a live online draft. Custom rules so very high scoring. Are you looking for anything in particular, prizes or live draft somewhere? I may be interested as well, never had a local league.
  22. Saw this on Twitter. Remington Arms is looking at areas around Nashville, as recently as within the month. http://www.tennessean.com/article/20130819/BUSINESS/308190065?sf16271623=1
  23. You and me both... I just have a little bench in the garage with one press and several storage drawers along the wall with parts and brass.
  24. Cannon fodder? I in no way condone being here illegally, but it seems several of these veterans are getting a raw deal. Some crimes should not be ignored and they should suffer the consequences, but at the same time not every misdemeanor should be cause for deportation when there is no push to deport other illegals. If one is going to be deported, then deport every one. What about amnesty, would these vets be welcome back and all forgiven? As for articles being written in a way to incite feelings of empathy and sorrow, IMO almost all articles are written in a way to swing the majority of readers to one side or another.
  25. Guns Magazine had a letter in it from years ago, complaining because gas was 15cents a gallon by the Texas oil fields. Me, I wasn't around for even the $1/gallon. I think the cheapest I remember buying at is about $2 or $2.25.
