I've seen people start to walk downrange while others are actively shooting. Doubt I'm the only one here to witness that though. Seen someone use a can of starter fluid to try and set off a potato gun. Then when the can caught fire throw it, right under the diesel tank on a truck. Luckily the can didn't explode.

Are 150gr M80 projectiles steel core?
TNMTBik3r replied to Luke E.'s topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I just shot some of the M80s today in my 30-06. I got them from David at the Nashville show, bought just as a cheap target bullet and wasn't expecting too much accuracy wise (maybe 2 MOA). But surprisingly accuracy today was pretty good, 1moa on average but even some half minute groups. Loads were over Varget and IMR4064. -
I just remembered one, the post about boats in the other stupid stuff thread reminded me... Buddy and me went fishing one day (went almost every day during summer breaks), got bored so decided to go up on the bridge and see how far down river we could cast. First cast stripped my reel, so then we decided to drop some rocks over the side and try to splash water up to us. The bridge was about 60 feet above water. After a few small rocks, we left and drove around to find something bigger. We found a large rock that took both of us to lift and slide into the truck bed, then went back to the bridge. We backed the truck up to the edge, and started to slide the rock out without looking below. The rock started falling, and we leaned over to see it fall and hit, to see a boat appear from under the bridge....luckily the rock missed, but only by a few feet and soaked the occupants. They weren't too happy with us so we quickly jumped in the truck and left. The splash didn't quite hit us but it came close :-)

What kind of powder are you using in your AR?
TNMTBik3r replied to jeff43's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Use Benchmark in my buddy's Sig M400. 55gn SPBT, minute of angle or better if we shoot slowly. Opens up to 2-3 moa depending on rest and rate of fire. -
Can make it in the oven, turn it on as low as possible (usually 350degrees). You can drape the strips on the oven racks, or better yet stick a toothpick through and let the meat hang down from the rack. I forget the bake time, have used a dehydrator the past few times.

I think I have heard the citrus fruit idea before, but never tried it. Hope that works for you, I'll have to try it next time I have a digger.

Snickers, skittles, M&Ms, and twizzlers.

Iwo Jima Memorial Closed, Barricades Erected (Update: Vets Break Through)

Why not, they tried to close the ocean in Florida... Forget which thread here that link was under, but hilarious for them to even try and say no, you can't take your boat out to fish due to the shutdown. -
I think i only used the store bought pepper. But i sprinkled liberally, where it was easily visible in the dirt from standing height.
-
Cayenne pepper sprinkled liberally on top has always worked for me. It does wear off, but I don't remember having to refresh it more than once. Maybe you just have a very stubborn dog or he has an insensitive nose :-) My experience also is if I keep the areas watered (planted grass seed) that they stay out of the mud. But that could have just been my dogs, loved dirt but not mud.

I love those smoke gray uniforms. But right now I just want to cry, such a disappointing loss....so close to knocking off a top 10 team. It was an awesome game though.

Prices weren't too bad on stuff I looked at. 22lr down to $30 range instead of $50 and up. Met David and got some powder and bullets...guess I'll spend the ret of the day loading.
-
Anyone going today? Its a Goodman show so I was going to stay home but I was handed some cash and told to leave the house. Saw on FB David will be there with a bunch of powder.

I have a Savage 111 in 30-06, bought it the year before the accu-trigger was released. The trigger is still adjustable though. If I was buying a new bolt rifle, Savage is the first brand on my list. I've owned s couple and they are great shooting rifles.

I have a Nikon Buckmaster 4.5-14x40 on my 30-06. Super clear, BDC is dead on, and on 14x I can easily see bullets holes on paper at 200 yards. Nikon has a rebate going on now for some of their scopes too.

Congrats! Time goes by quick, seems like just a few weeks ago we found out we had one on the way, yet a week from today she will be one year old. I've always heard they grow up quick but I just laughed it off until now. Nice pic to announce it BTW!

I just saw this on Twitter. Great writer, I own most of his books.

I still can't get signed up to even take a look - multiple times, computers, and browsers and won't let me select the required security questions to create an account. I'm holding out hope that insurance through work will not be as bad as it sounds. Having a 1 year old makes it a bit difficult to go without insurance - could care less about me being covered but pediatrician visits are ridiculously expensive. If 25% of the populace decide to just pay the fine instead of enrolling, it doesn't stop the destruction.

120mph in a 40mph zone, two lane curvy hilly road, hitting the bridge over the interstate at 110mph and getting a 4 door sedan airborne over i65... But landed and drove away, only to discover the next morning every piece of wiring had melted and it took 2 months to have the car running again. Pellet rifle wars, shot my sister and came a quarter inch from taking her eye out. Pellet hit right on the edge of the eye socket. Thinking it was a good idea to hunt out of a shag bark hickory with a climbing stand. Stealing a portapotty from a construction site, dragging it two miles down the road behind a truck and dumping in a friends yard. And the best, middle school science fair project - what is more flammable, hair spray or spray paint? Not sure if this was my stupidity or my parents for letting me try it.... Just say both cans are explosive. I have more stuff, but unlike several above nothing I remember with electricity.

I'm still seeing some of the stickers around here, but not as many as a year ago.

This just in............I got SCREWED!
TNMTBik3r replied to LI0NSFAN's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I tried to check out the Exchange but can't create an account to find out if I'm eligible (highly unlikely) and what options/prices are available. HR won't answer any questions so I'm stuck wondering until the 28th it appears. -

Hmm, I may try and reach out to our HR and see if they can firm up some of the info I have. And yes I agree this is almost certainly the new norm. And it absolutely blows.. -

My company isn't releasing any of our insurance information until Oct 28 so I'm going to be guessing for a few weeks still. But the initial information looks bad, basically doubles my cost for the same crappy insurance. Not even looked at the ACA site yet to see if I qualify, but I highly doubt it since I'm not on welfare.... -
It was Locker, not Brady or Manning. No flag was expected. The hit didn't look all that bad when I saw it, just the way he twisted that caused the injury.
