  1. Showing 7 degrees, feels like -5 here in Columbia.
  2. Ice and snow in Columbia. Temp is right at freezing.
  3. It is icing/flurrying in Columbia.
  4. Never been but may check it out next time I'm in Nashville. Would be nice to have a large beer selection and try several.
  5. It is flurrying here so guess I need some of that government funding....
  6. I've never been but would like to learn about it. I almost never see a coyote down this way. Lebanon is a ways from Columbia but depending on when and times I may be up to tagging along.
  7. Just saw this posted. Great for them to hold to their promise to move to a more welcoming state.
  8. Growing up my dad always had Craftsman stuff, and parents bought me Craftsman tool sets. I still have them and they are quality items, but nowadays if I am buying tools I look at Kobalt first.
  9. The arrow does have very little mass but it still absorbs the energy - basically the energy has a place to travel (energy propels the arrow forward) instead of back through the limbs, cams and string. Good analogy quoted from ArcheryTalk -  http://www.archerytalk.com/vb/showthread.php?t=357478   Imagine try to pitch a fast ball as hard as you can with no ball it would hurt your shoulder pretty bad same theory.
  10.   Dry firing can damage ANY bow. Has to do with the stress/torque produced when the string is released - the arrow absorbs the energy when the string is released. Without an arrow all of the energy is released on the limbs which can cause them to crack or shatter.
  11. Nope, I missed the first quarter. But did watch the rest and see MSU come away with the win (have family currently attending/working at the school so I was cheering for them).
  12. Mine has a safety and it works. I've only shot a few models but they all had a safety. Since it is a bow I had an issue adapting and remembering to engage the safety when I first started shooting it. Thoughts go out to those involved with this.
  13. That is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks! Guess my google-fu was off tonight because I could not find that.
  14. Forgot to say I saw that one, it says it mounts to the side but there isn't a good description or picture that I have found to show where/how it mounts. I guess it has to fit one of the slots in the stock. I may just buy it and figure it out.
  15. 111 is long action. I think 110 is also long action (heard claims it was mixed?), but the other two are short action.
  16. Does anyone have a Magpul MOE stock with a sling attachment/adapter? I am trying to find one, bought a Midwest Industries M4 QD sling adapter and it didn't fit. I don't really want to run a sling through the slot, would rather have a mount point and clip the sling onto it. Will be a two point setup with a rail mounted attachment if that matters. I am not having luck searching for an adapter for this stock, considered trying to rig a sling loop through the bottom slot in the stock but haven't started searching for parts. Hope it isn't something simple I am overlooking.... I considered an end plate attachment but my neighbor has one and I don't like the attachment points that close. Thanks!
  17. I'm staying home too. Have a case of beer, build the wife a fire, and watch some of the Bowl games that are on.    And Happy New Year to all!
  18. I haven't read it, am searching for the ebook to download now.    Edit - found the epub and have it uploaded to my Google Books to read over the next couple of days.  I have seen the movie previews and looking forward to watching it.
  19. Haven't tried any of their .38s but have been happy with 9mm and .40.
  20. Following...planning on a unsuppressed 300 blackout build this spring to use for deer hunting.
  21. I just built one for $600. PSA blem Magpul lower for $185 shipped and 16 inch complete upper for $399 ($215 shipped). I was able to split the cost up which helped a ton.
  22. Sounds like my Pit and daughter. When the wife was pregnant, Roxy would lay her head on her stomach all the time. When the baby arrived, any little whimper and Roxy was right there. She is very protective of our daughter (now 1) and will jump in between her and anyone she does not know well. She even knocked my brother down one time because he jumped off the couch and quickly sat down on the floor to play with the baby. Roxy has a big cage in our living room and daughter will climb in there all the time and play with dog toys or lean back and fall asleep on the dog. And she shares every bit of food she gets with Roxy - drops on the floor or walks over to her cage and gives her a bite. Several family members where concerned at first, a 70# Pit was not a good family dog with a new baby in their mind. But they have all came around and realize those two love each other and that dog is not going to hurt her.
  23. They have been moving a lot the past few days. FIL passed on 10 does Thursday and then Friday morning they say 6 and nephew dropped 2 of them. I haven't went the past few days, have 4 in the freezer so think I'm done for the year.
  24. Walmart in Columbia won't price match either. Makes no sense that they price match any store - except themselves. Should be false advertising.
  25. I saw them a month ago in St Louis. Made sure that the brewery tour was part of my honeymoon. Great horses and the beer is pretty good too - their Project 12 this year has a vanilla beer that is awesome and I hope it wins and goes to production.
