  1.   Yes you could sell what you didn't want. I have been watching but haven't found a good deal on any brass yet.
  2. This Mboro show is my last. Not worth going to for any reason anymore unless I just need to kill a few hours. I picked up a few items but nothing was a deal (except the ammo cans 3 for $25 and not paying hazmat on a couple pounds of powder).
  3. The cable snapped and disappeared somewhere. About half of it is missing.  Oh well, not a very expensive fix just a huge inconvenience. Even more so because no one around has a throttle cable, so having to overnight it so won't be fixed until tomorrow.   Will be driving my wife's HHR again tomorrow - that thing drives great but is not very comfortable for me, but at 34 MPG on the interstate I can be uncomfortable for a while.
  4. Tow truck showed so o got out with my flashlight. The throttle cable pulled out of the pedal and cannot be seen.
  5. Sitting in traffic this morning on i65, tapped the gas pedal and it sank to the floor...truck just coasted. Was able to get into the zebra stripes, the throttle cable either snapped or pulled off the gas pedal. I can't tell while sitting here and traffic is too bad to get out. Another repair bill looks like, having to pay a tow truck at the very least.
  6. Work is letting us leave at Noon today because of the weather. I'm not going to complain, but it doesn't seem to be that bad outside.
  7. Just saw Dolomite's post...did not know that was an approved method but if the suspect was spitting then yeah it kind of makes sense.
  8. Yeah there could be another side, but why the hell would an officer choke out someone in custody? If he was resisting isn't a baton, taser or pepper spray the proper response? Sure seems like brutality...
  9. When I was young the place we lived at was about a mile from a spot that got hit at least once each tornado season. Down in Culleoka, strip off of Mooresville Pike before Peach Orchard for anyone in the area. They were quite disastrous, especially to the one farmer who kept rebuilding his barn in the same spot only to watch it get demolished again the next year.
  10. What about getting an end plate and using a clip sling (QD mount on front rail, end plate, clips on both end of the sling)? Price may end up being about the same though.
  11. I posted a reply in the events thread too, didn't see this one. http://www.impactweaponscomponents.com/product/qd-rotation-limited-buttstock-sling-mount-n-slot/
  12. This is what you need. I have one. http://www.impactweaponscomponents.com/product/qd-rotation-limited-buttstock-sling-mount-n-slot/
  13. Enjoyed the show, grabbed everything I was looking for. Enjoyed talking with Musicman and W0lfattack.
  14. I'm heading that way. Wearing a gray 5.11 Tactical gnome shirt and gray/orange TN hat. Maybe can meet a few more of you today.
  15. Hope their service stays good, their deal with Red Jacket could end up requiring a lot of customer service (if the RJ quality remains on level with some of their previous ventures I have read about).
  16. PTAC has mixed reviews. I am satisfied with my PTAC 1:9 upper, but I also realized going in that it was a budget build and was not going to be super accurate. Add a complete lower for another $150 and have a good plinker.
  17. I am looking forward to seeing this one. Always been a Godzilla fan, watched most if not all of them.
  18. I considered getting my Security+ a couple years ago, I studied but never took the exam.   I just passed my VCP-DCV exam this morning, and think I will be hitting a couple MS certs next (have a free voucher for the Hyper-V and System Center exam). Will probably go ahead and update my Xendesktop cert to XD7 soon.
  19. What is your experience around? Desktop support/OS support role, servers, networking, virtualization? When you say you have taught yourself what you needed to know, that implies to me just basic hardware/OS/software support and so a base level certification would be a good entry point - help verify what you know and fill in any gaps of knowledge. The A+ exam is going to cover hardware, networking and OS troubleshooting/repair on more of a generic scale. The MTA will be dedicated to Windows OS install, config and troubleshooting. There will be some overlap between the two, and my opinion is it will be a toss up on which would be better appreciated - any IT team considering a candidate with one of these exams will know it is an entry level certificate. Since you will be paying out of pocket, I see no issue with the MTA.
  20. It is the only good show in the middle TN area anymore. Nashville is a joke, Hendersonville is done, and the smaller towns just don't attract vendors.
  21. A+ is a very basic cert but was very important in obtaining a couple of employment opportunities (little experience at the time). I took the exams in high school, part of an IT class. It was very simple, I actually beat my instructors score. This was 8 years ago and we used the Comptia study material. I still have that stuff in digital format, but a lot has changed since then. I have A+, Network+, Citrix XenDesktop, and tomorrow morning taking my VMware VCP exam finally (5+ years experience but no cert yet). I also have a few different certificate of completions for classes I have taken, and even they can be beneficial at times.
  22. I know its not right, but I still laughed. Now you know who she loves most... That would be a terrible situation. And not one I would allow myself to get into, would be trying something.
  23. I bet someone would be willing to analyze/inspect it for you. Not worth paying for but maybe some place would do it for free (manufacturer likely would but since unsure on who that is...) I wouldn't just trash it.
  24. Yeah it is kind of strange. Internet phone call, thinking Skype or something similar - it will be traced but maybe not as simple as a typical phone call?
  25. Absolutely hilarious, yet complete stupidity on the caller and the responding departments.   http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/teen-sends-cops-home-foe-beat-call-duty-article-1.1765656       A sore loser sent a SWAT team storming to a Long Island home Tuesday as revenge against his teenage video game rival, officials said. About 3 p.m., the caller said his foe had killed his brother and mother, but cops arriving at the Long Beach address found his 17-year-old video game opponent playing “Call of Duty” in his own home, CBS 2 reported. The hoax – involving more than 70 emergency responders – appears to have been an instance of a careless “game” called Swatting.
