@Defender The G45 is a Gen 5 only model. The Holosun K is the micro line (slim may be their wording?) and not intended for the double stack models. The standard MOS plates for the double stack Glocks do not fit the K model optics, but a quick search shows an aftermarket option. https://chpws.com/product/v4-mil-leo-glock-mos-to-holosun-407k-507k/ -

Glock 45 MOS 9mm pistol. This has several hundred rounds through it (shot in 2 outdoor GSSF matches plus a couple other range sessions). I just don't care for this as much as my 17s so it can go away. The pistol is in excellent condition and will include the original case / accessories / MOS plates. 5 total magazines and a Blade-Tech Signature OWB holster included. The G45 as pictured has a Holosun 507C X2 optic mounted but I can remove it. Optic info https://holosun.com/index/product/detail/id/104.html If you don't like Holosun / want a smaller optic I have a Riton 3 TACTIX MPRD 2 available that can swap over. Optic info https://ritonoptics.com/product/3-tactix-mprd-2/ No other optic options are available at this time. I will not sell the optics separately. I can sell this three ways: Glock 45 with no optic - $600 $550 price reduced for pistol only Glock 45 with Holosun 507C - $830 Glock 45 with Riton MPRD - $750 Only trade interest would be a semi-auto 22lr rifle as partial trade (10/22, Savage A22, Marlin 60, etc). Located in Columbia, willing to meet around the Mid-TN area. No shipping, must be legally able to purchase. SOLD -

Brand new, never carried or cut with knife. This has been sitting in the safe the past several years. I carry my other Protech or Spyderco flipper models instead, OTF just isn't for me. Black handle, DLC black blade, mother of pearl button, TGO custom edition #12. No marks on the knife, includes original box and carry case. The standard Dark Angel is listed for $250+ on a couple of sites I checked. I believe this custom edition was either $225 or $250 at the time. I am asking $225 $200. Only trade interest would be a .22LR semi-auto rifle as I need another for my kids. I will add cash towards the right rifle trade. Located in Columba, meet around the area or willing to ship for actual shipping cost.

That's what I have heard as well. Not sure full details on it though. The store is nice, but was super disappointed to learn they no longer carry any reloading supplies. That was the only reason I ever stopped in the old Outpost when in the area.

Unfortunately if you are only checking twice a week at online vendors, you are almost certainly not going to catch powder in stock. This is a commodity that sells out within a couple of hours, if not minutes. Some sites you need to be logged into an account to see accurate stock levels. Email notifications from the vendors are not reliable. Best bet is to follow various "in-stock" threads on Arfcom, Discord, or Reddit. This is a quick search of one of the in-stock threads I follow, and appears the powder was gone in a matter of minutes in each instance: On 04/26 Powder Valley had H1000 in stock, 04/24 Natchez had it, 04/20 Powder Valley again, 04/15 Brownells had it.

Online stores keep getting stock without that huge markup. It can be difficult and frustrating to try and find what is in stock and check out before they are gone, but that's the route I would go if I were in your position. Or keep checking locally - Academy and some other places occasionally get stock and prices are pretty normal. Brownells had CCI SRP and SPP in stock the other day for $63/k I believe, 5k case was like $293. Remember that most places now require you to be logged into your account to see accurate stock levels. Email notifications aren't going to work properly so don't rely on them. I had 10K each of SRP and SPP in my cart from Brownells the other day and backed out because I don't need primers. I can make it through the next several years without an issue, but still worry I may regret not buying them.

@Beltfed PV has a bunch of powder showing in stock as of 2:39PM. However you have to be logged into your account to see it. Most places are this way now to try and keep some of the bots down.

Powder Valley had a large drop a bit ago. Thanks to them and Midway last week, I have a good amount on the way. It's not all exactly what I would normally pick (example grabbed a bunch of AA2300 to try out) but it will keep me set for a while.

The Zilla desert blend, and other lizard litter brands were very dusty in my experience. I switched to the HF walnut media above and am happier with it. And a 25# bag means it is going to last quite a while even with more frequent media swaps if it does break down and get dusty.

Springfield isn't the issue here, it is Holosun. The Hellcat uses the standard JP Enterprise / Shield RMSc footprint. The Holosun 407/507K uses a modified version of this footprint, and is not drilled for the two rear lugs. The slide modification is to completely remove the two rear lugs and slightly file down the front two. Quoted from another site: "Because these are smaller than 407C, 507C, and 508T, Holosun had to use a different footprint. The sights mentioned use a Trijicon RMR platform whereas the new ‘K’ models have a modification of the Shield footprint instead. The two holes in the back are missing on the 407/507K footprint, and the recesses in the front are shallower than on Shield RMS and SMS sights. For this reason, some pistols, such as Hellcat and Walther PPS, will need to be modified for these two red dot sights to fit. Namely, the rear indexing lugs have to be removed and the front indexing lugs have to be shortened in length. Once the pistols are modified, you can still mount any of the red dot sights that have a Shield footprint."

Or look at the new Hex Wasp that Springfield announced recently. I'm waiting on some reviews to drop before I make a decision on finally adding an optic to my Hellcat. https://www.hexoptics.com/wasp-micro-red-dot-sight/ If you don't want to mess with modifying the Hellcat slide for a Holosun, there is an adapter plate available. https://chpws.com/product/springfield-hellcat-to-holosun-407k-507k-adapter-plate I just picked up a G45 MOS I have been waiting on, and trying to find an optic for it now. I have the Vortex Venom on my G34 and it has been great, but going with a different offering this time. It looks like the Holosun 507C will be the winner.

I have had my Hellcat for over a year now, it replaced a G19 for EDC. I originally intended to buy the P365 but wanted to compare both. Either one is a solid option but definitely check both out. I went with the Hellcat for a couple of very minor details - I liked the sights better, and the mag release position. On the P365, the mag release was in an awkward position for me. The Hellcat is a bit snappy depending on ammo but very controllable. Not really any different than shooting a G43 or Shield IMO. Reliability wise - I believe I had one fail to feed in the first 100 rounds and never another problem. That's across multiple bullet profiles and multiple magazines.

Geissele SSA-E trigger install
TNMTBik3r replied to turkeydad's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
LaRue MBT is the best value out there. A couple of years ago I removed my SSA-E and replaced it with a LaRue....I have two of their 2 stage and one single stage now I believe, extremely happy with all. As for the install, it is painless. Only part that can really go wrong is the springs, so pay attention to the spring orientation. https://www.shootingillustrated.com/articles/2015/10/15/ar-lower-receiver-build-trigger-group-installation/ -
I need to list some primers..... $4000 for 10k CCI small pistol and I will cover shipping (no, not seriously...)

I've got one that I built a few years ago. I built it for deer hunting and still haven't used it in the woods.... Mine has a 16" ARP barrel and shoots great with the couple of factory loads and several reloads I have run through it - 90gr Gold Dots and 110gr BTHP are what I am loading. Lots of people run a SBR as it does very well in short barrels. Check out the 68Forums for all the info you could want.

I've stayed out of this thread until now, but guess it's time to contribute as I have first hand experience with COVID now..... My wife has several family members in Louisiana and Mississippi who went through COVID over the past few months. My parents and sis.-in-law contacted in it July. They all recovered without issue but the experiences varied. 2+ weeks ago my mother-in-law had out-patient surgery so my wife went over to help clean the house and stuff after (on the 15th). The couple of days leading up to that weekend, MIL was feeling ill but her doctor said the symptoms including out of breathe were due to the tube they had run down her throat. She went back in to see the DR. on that Friday and received a COVID test. My wife arrived Saturday and met her father for lunch, and while at lunch received the call her mother was positive. My wife didn't go to their house and wasn't around her mother - just came back home. A few days later though her father came down sick, and tested positive. A week later (22nd) my wife started feeling ill and had a fever, and on Sunday had "flu-like" symptoms so she isolated to the bedroom. Tuesday afternoon we received her positive test. She is finally feeling better today but still easily out of breathe and coughing. All week I stayed away as best as possible except when bringing stuff upstairs to my wife. I slept in my office, took care of both kids, and felt fine. Wednesday I had a headache and a stuffy nose which kind of came and went throughout the day and into Thursday. Thursday night at dinner I realized I couldn't smell or taste the food. Or smell anything else. Pizza tastes the same as a cookie, water, mt. dew and bourbon all the same....cannot smell ANYTHING we have at the house including candles, Hoppes, etc. I haven't been tested and don't intend to bother. I am pretty certain I have it though due to the sudden loss of smell and taste coupled with the allergy / sinus infection symptoms but no obvious fever (I can almost always tell) and n coughing or chest congestion. If it wasn't for the obvious loss of senses, I wouldn't know I was sick. And not able to smell or taste certainly sounds odd (I laughed when my wife first realized she couldn't), but experiencing it yourself is very disconcerting.

Inline Fabrication is all you need to know. I haven't looked at the RCBS offering but the Inline Fab options are amazing. Flush mount, raised, quick change ... I have the raised quick mount and it's nice to swap between presses quickly, as I don't have space to keep both mounted.

I made one for my carbine (at the time I needed it, every place was sold out). Cut a socket in half and welded to a steel pipe. Ugly, but it worked well. Mine was coated in loctite but broke free easily. Go mag dump and then try to break it free.

4 hours and counting without power in Columbia. Trees and some lines down all over it seems like.

I have a Venom on one of my G34s. It is a great optic, I went with it over the Viper as per the above comments regarding 3moa dot and accessible battery. I previously had a Burris FastFire 3, and I prefer the Venom over it with one small exception: The Burris dot seemed brighter. The Burris was too bright when shooting indoors though while the Venom seems just right. Outdoors in the bright sun it can very occasionally wash out and be difficult to locate.

Walmart Pistol Ammo Clearance now 50% off YMMV
TNMTBik3r replied to TNPossum's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Fairview Walmart has some 9mm, a good bit of 45 ACP, and boxes of American eagle 300BO for $5. I almost cleaned out all the 9mm but left some for the next guy so good luck!
