That would be nice. They carry safes and cleaning kits already, and usually have decent prices on most of their stuff - maybe would have competitive prices on firearms.
-
Thanks, I will keep my eyes out and may grab another mag or two. $50 is a bit steep - what Sig and some other places wanted as of a couple months ago when my neighbor checked. ETA- CDNN has the Sig 15 round factory mag for $29.99 and its not even listed as a sale. Will keep watching and see if that price falls any.

I'm usually on using the mobile interface so don't see signatures. But when I do use the full version I sometimes read them.

I'm not worried about the finish but I may try to even it a bit. The neighbor I got this from has arthritis and he said the width was what hurt him as well. He got a Kimber 1911 and even though recoil is increased the slim grip keeps him from hurting. The grips are good for me. Handles well and very accurate.

I searched, but can't find the post for Dolomite's kit. I remember reading about it before but can't remember exactly how it worked. Anyone able to find that thread or post info here on it? I don't think my PSA trigger is that bad compared with some other factory ones I have shot. But it could still be better.

Here is the wear. Nothing abnormal at all. Just that nitride finish rubbing off.
-
Just picked one up from my neighbor. He has owned it for about 2 years, around 600 rounds through it and I have put 150 of them through it. The finish is worn through on top of the chamber and one mark on the slide from the holster. Has the tritium night sights installed. This is a sweet shooting pistol. Came with a holster and a 2nd magazine - cost me 400 rounds of .223 reloads (I reload for/with this neighbor already) and $200 cash. Don't think I did too bad. Pics after a while.

Found this on another forum, it needs shared. A bit long to copy paste whole thing - college kid wrote an essay about Privilege. I recommend reading the whole thing... Knocked it out of the park. http://theprincetontory.com/main/checking-my-privilege-character-as-the-basis-of-privilege/ "There is a phrase that floats around college campuses, Princeton being no exception, that threatens to strike down opinions without regard for their merits, but rather solely on the basis of the person that voiced them. “Check your privilege,†the saying goes, and I have been reprimanded by it several times this year. The phrase, handed down by my moral superiors, descends recklessly, like an Obama-sanctioned drone, and aims laser-like at my pinkish-peach complexion, my maleness, and the nerve I displayed in offering an opinion rooted in a personal Weltanschauung. “Check your privilege,†they tell me in a command that teeters between an imposition to actually explore how I got where I am, and a reminder that I ought to feel personally apologetic because white males seem to pull most of the strings in the world."

Professional resume writers and head hunters in the Nashville area?
TNMTBik3r replied to a topic in General Chat
I think mine hit 3 pages with a couple references. It must not be too bad because I had a great job offer this week! Still going to work on rebuilding my resume and keep it updated in a nicer/sorter format. -
Not a bad price for an entry level kit. Add your dies and a tumbler to clean the brass and will be set. Having a couple of manuals is better than one but a lot of info is available online from Hodgdon and some bullet manufacturers.

Professional resume writers and head hunters in the Nashville area?
TNMTBik3r replied to a topic in General Chat
I think I used a MS Word template when I first created my resume, and have just kept adding to it. I know mine needs to be re-done and look more professional. I will see if I can dig up anything to help us both out. -
Not really a lifetime warranty...it is a 2 year warranty for full coverage. After 2 years, they will repair the item but charge a fee of half of what the current retail value is. http://leeprecision.com/satisfaction-guaranteed.html OP, nothing really wrong with Lee if you want to go the inexpensive route and possibly upgrade later. When I bought my own equipment, I wanted quality and full coverage forever, so I went with RCBS. Hornady stands behind their products with a lifetime warranty as well so between the two you have listed the Hornady wins out to me. But if you don't mind potentially paying to have parts fixed later on because they are made out of softer materials then the Lee would be fine.

I should have put that if I bid/win an auction, I will not be selling it at a gun show. Too much involved with travel/gas/time as Luke said. My plan is to keep as much as I want, and clean the rest (not process, just clean) and sell it on a couple of forums or FaceBook reloading groups. There is a bit of money to be made from some of these auctions but so far no great deals to be found.
-
Yes you could sell what you didn't want. I have been watching but haven't found a good deal on any brass yet.
-
This Mboro show is my last. Not worth going to for any reason anymore unless I just need to kill a few hours. I picked up a few items but nothing was a deal (except the ammo cans 3 for $25 and not paying hazmat on a couple pounds of powder).

The cable snapped and disappeared somewhere. About half of it is missing. Oh well, not a very expensive fix just a huge inconvenience. Even more so because no one around has a throttle cable, so having to overnight it so won't be fixed until tomorrow. Will be driving my wife's HHR again tomorrow - that thing drives great but is not very comfortable for me, but at 34 MPG on the interstate I can be uncomfortable for a while.
-
Tow truck showed so o got out with my flashlight. The throttle cable pulled out of the pedal and cannot be seen.
-
Sitting in traffic this morning on i65, tapped the gas pedal and it sank to the floor...truck just coasted. Was able to get into the zebra stripes, the throttle cable either snapped or pulled off the gas pedal. I can't tell while sitting here and traffic is too bad to get out. Another repair bill looks like, having to pay a tow truck at the very least.

Work is letting us leave at Noon today because of the weather. I'm not going to complain, but it doesn't seem to be that bad outside.

Knox County Sherriffs Deputy chokes out handcuffed suspect.

Just saw Dolomite's post...did not know that was an approved method but if the suspect was spitting then yeah it kind of makes sense. -
Knox County Sherriffs Deputy chokes out handcuffed suspect.
TNMTBik3r replied to 10-Ring's topic in General Chat
Yeah there could be another side, but why the hell would an officer choke out someone in custody? If he was resisting isn't a baton, taser or pepper spray the proper response? Sure seems like brutality... -
When I was young the place we lived at was about a mile from a spot that got hit at least once each tornado season. Down in Culleoka, strip off of Mooresville Pike before Peach Orchard for anyone in the area. They were quite disastrous, especially to the one farmer who kept rebuilding his barn in the same spot only to watch it get demolished again the next year.

What about getting an end plate and using a clip sling (QD mount on front rail, end plate, clips on both end of the sling)? Price may end up being about the same though.

I posted a reply in the events thread too, didn't see this one. http://www.impactweaponscomponents.com/product/qd-rotation-limited-buttstock-sling-mount-n-slot/

This is what you need. I have one. http://www.impactweaponscomponents.com/product/qd-rotation-limited-buttstock-sling-mount-n-slot/
