  1. If you are interested in the Sig M400, I traded for one today and just placed it up for sale in the classifieds.  I have never had the fortune to own or even shoot a Colt, but the Sig is a nice rifle. The couple I own are Palmetto State lowers and different uppers.
  2. Right now I have: 1997 F150 - Castrol GTX High Mileage with K&N filter 2006 Civic - Pennzoil Platinum PurePlus with Mobil 1 filter 2009 HHR - Pennzoil Platinum with Bosch filter As you see I'm not dedicated to a filter brand, but I avoid From oil filters. I usually go with one of the sales, and pay the extra $2 for the upgraded filter. I may change my Civic over to Castrol synthetic and test it unless something changes. For some reason, my mpg dropped from 36 down to 32 immediately (based on 4 fillups) after the oil change (had dealership oil from where I bought it). On my Ranger before I sold it, always used Pennzoil Platinum and a K&N filter, changed between 7k-8k miles depending on when the weekend fell (drove over 100 miles a day). Sold the Ranger, Civic is my DD now - plan to change it at the same intervals. My wife's HHR doesn't rack up a lot of miles, but she makes a lot of short trips. So I have been changing it around 4 months or so. Just bought the F150 2 months ago, it is just a weekend vehicle so I plan on changing it maybe every 6 months, may even go once a year.
  3. Yep! Stop in at Hattie B's. Or one of the several other places. We normally hit Hattie B's or Pepperfire Chicken.
  4. News originally said the driver made it out. That witnesses said they saw someone walk away. I was a bit doubtful based on the pics I had seen, and a while ago they did verify the fatality was the driver.
  5. If you somehow missed the traffic jam or news reports, tanker hit the bridge pillar and exploded this morning, shutting down 65 both directions. Latest update confirms the fear, both bridges (old and one under construction) are damaged and have to be torn down. One report said only the portion over I65 South will be torn down. I65 North is supposedly reopened now. Southbound will be closed all weekend it sounds like. Estimated 3 months to get the bridge rebuilt and opened. Traffic was a mess, going to be even worse now for a few months it seems like. On my phone so sorry no links now.
  6. I have a dual band extender paired with my dual band router. Forget the exact model but both Netgear. I have mine setup to connect the extender to WAP in 2.4ghz and the extender to broadcast in 5ghz only. Good speeds, but of course your device has to support the 5ghz band.
  7. Either tube length is sufficient for me, storage doesn't really matter either. I just like the hex look, stands out a bit more. The pistol I shot the other week was the actual factory Sig pistol with brace, whatever tube they use the owner had the brace pulled about an inch off so it wasn't flush - said the tube can beat you up unless the brace is kept pulled back.
  8. Wanted to show pics of my new holster and give a shout out to a company that was great to deal with! This all started back on July 5th - I was wasting time online and looking for a kydex holster for my 1911, love the comfort of my leather Pure Kustom but it is a pain to take on/off, wanted a kydex to easily slid IWB for going to work and pulling out to store when get there. I found the website http://wepleadthe2nd.com/ and liked the options. One of the options was Kryptek Typhon, but was listed as available soon. I decided to use the contact form and submit an email asking about the estimated wait. I did not expect a reply until at least Monday, but 30 minutes after submitting the question, the owner sent me an email and answered my question with options on how to proceed - this was late on a Saturday evening! Per the owner's response, I submitted my order for one of the other Kryptek patterns with a note that I wanted to wait for the Typhon pattern. I knew what the expected wait time was, and I was sent periodic updates on when the shop was expecting the Typhon pattern. I received an email last week saying that tracking from their vendor said the pattern would be delivered on Saturday, and my holster would ship on Monday. Sure enough, I received tracking Monday and the holster arrived today. This is exactly what I was waiting for - nice looking design, snug fight, sturdy clip. Customer service was excellent, and I will be ordering from them again. Take a look and design your own holster. Now some pics with my Para Expert stainless 1911.
  9. Everyone says the Kak tube is the way to go, but I have been looking and really like the Phase 5 Hex-2 buffer tube. The lines just kind of blend with the SB15, was designed specifically for it. https://phase5wsi.com/hex-2-pistol-buffer-tube-hex-2-clone.html
  10. Heard great reviews, want to go see it, maybe this weekend. Ninja Turtles looks good too though.
  11. I have a Hanks Amish belt, great deal at around $45. Not sure a good store, TSC has leather belts but not really sure how thick they are.
  12. I just read this and was coming to post. Terrible news, was a great actor.
  13. News just said the police are talking to Stewart again tonight. I would love to see the footage from his vehicle, or another angle from the stands. Regardless, no way in hell that was intentional.
  14. Yes it is! Parasail around a beach sometimes and it is amazing what u can see swimming near shore.
  15. I'm watching the new Air Jaws now, was watching Jack Ryan movie so getting a late start. What DVR is for though.
  16. Anyone else watching? Always my favorite week of TV. I make sure to record every new show and watch them as time allows.
  17. Seen them but that was it. Read a review somewhere that did not show them as a standout, especially compared to known performers like Gold Dots, etc. But these did expand and penetrate, and are a couple bucks cheaper per box which matters to some.
  18. Spent the last couple hours watching videos and reading forums and news posts about this. As said, play stupid games.... Should have stayed in his car or at least right next to it, not running down the track. NASCAR has no right to jump in IMO, did not occur at a NASCAR event. If Stewart thought he could race, he should be able to. I know he is not racing today, probably a very good decision as I doubt he is rested and calm after a long night.
  19. Yeah that sounds good, will see as the date gets closer but I should be able to make it to the show.
  20. That is a nice review. I had actually looked at that Hornady One Shot the other day, didn't buy any though. I have been using the red can One Shot cleaner and lube on all of my reloading stuff, but may try that black can since it really held off corrosion in his tests.
  21. I like the look of that EAA Witness!  Guessing you plan to reload for it? I have about 60 pieces of 10mm brass picked up from the local range - not sure when I will be out toward Mboro, maybe for the gun show next month if you are interested.
  22. Starline is giving away a Hornady progressive now. They just finished the Dillon giveaway. Have to enter through Facebook, sorry to those who do not have one.   This is my personal link, gives me a bonus entry http://woobox.com/orwhbb/9i5609   Here is the link to Starline's page if you prefer https://www.facebook.com/StarlineBrass
  23. I use TG with no problem
  24. Yep that is my method. I have coated over lube a couple of times, doesn't look quite as good but seems to work the same.
  25. Big Green Bay fan as well. Not going but did think about getting tickets for a bit, but would rather buy parts to build up my AR pistol.
