  1. The Ruger is new so no telling how it will stack up over a few months of use. But I had the SD9VE and for $320 out the door (when I bought it) I was very happy. Trigger wasn't terrible, but an Apex kit really helped. Mine would eat any ammo I tried and was pretty accurate.
  2. They won....looked decent but time will tell. Get rid of Locker and bring in a good QB, with Wisenhunt as a coach would be a real contender.
  3. When I gt a bigger house I want an aquarium again. Been years since had one.
  4. All the powder seems to have went to an out of state gun show. Luckily A-H Reloading had what I needed so the gun show was a complete waste but the day wasn't.
  5. Thanks Sam - look forward to tasting it!
  6. Show was a bust for me. I left after an hour and could have been done sooner. Got a couple pmags and ammo cans was all.
  7. I emailed SNS yesterday and waiting for a response. I found another place that offered unlubed, $45/500 shipped.
  8. I have one friend, my wife. My only use for FB is entering some contests/giveaways like the Starline one to win a Hornady press. I have won a couple of Schrade knives from giveaways on there. Also a member of a couple firearm and reloading groups to watch for deals.
  9. DVR is set.
  10. Thanks Photoguy, I think David only deals in plated/jacketed bullets but I can check at the gun show. Prag, when I move I hope to have room to cast. Right now I just don't have the space for any other equipment or really even a spot to work in as my garage is packed. I have melted lube off, and even powder coated over light lube, but neither way seems to work as good as using as cast bullets. Red, that is a great offer and if I had a place to cast I would gladly take you up on that. My other problem though is finding lead, the few tire shops I have checked at already have someone taking their wheel weights. I reached out to a couple of online store yesterday before posting here to see if they would sell unlubed bullets. If I hear back from any of them that may be my best route.
  11. Needing at least 1k now. Hoping to find a place to do continued business with. I have plenty of 9mm right now but will need more of them at some point too.
  12. Do any of you Middle TN casters ever have extra .45 ACP (.451/.452) bullets? I am looking for unlubed bullets to powder coat, my previous supplier went out of business. Specifically 200gr to 230gr round nose. I size after coating, so they could be as cast if the mould is pretty consistent.   Wasn't sure if this should be here or in the classifieds, I'm not sure that I would be buying/trading for bullets yet, just wanted to reach out and try to get some contacts and we can talk offline or private message if needed.   If you know of any online stores that sell unlubed cast bullets for a good price please let me know. There does not seem to be a huge difference in cast bullets and cheap plated from Xtreme from what I am seeing now. I have looked at Falcon, Missouri, SNS, and Lucky 13 and prices, especially with shipping from a couple of the places that do not offer free shipping, are very close to plated.   I wish I was setup to cast my own, but unfortunately that is not an option at this time. I do not have the space in my garage, especially with a young kid running around. Thanks for any info!
  13. Betty's Parkway in Columbia is pretty good for steak.
  14. Just kick the valve stem, usually breaks it and is less obvious that you intended to cause the flat than if you cut something.
  15. I had someone follow me one day, someone cut me off and I locked up the brakes to keep from hitting them, honked the horn and went around. They then proceeded to cut another lane of traffic off and drove on the shoulder to catch up to me and followed me for about 3 miles leaning out the window yelling. I kept driving and they finally turned off. I tend to drive about 6-7 mph over what's posted but I try not to ride people's bumpers and don't honk and carry on when they are doing the speed limit. I will usually flip you the bird if you cut me off and cuss inside my car but not yelling out the window and waving around.
  16. Consider this possibility - a dozen airliners missing from Libya? Haven't dug into the story at all to see if other sources are reporting it, or how reliable WJ is, but a scary thought regardless. http://www.westernjournalism.com/breaking-just-revealed-a-dozen-jetliners-stolen-terror-experts-warn-of-possible-911breaking-just-revealed-a-dozen-jetliners-stolen-terror-experts-warn-of-possible-911-mass-attack-mass-attack/
  17. I have this Tapco AR stock spanner wrench and it is a pics of crap. Well it does work but doesn't fit in the notches properly so dug into the castle nut and marred it. Not too concerned with the marks but wish I had spent more for a proper tool. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B002E6X44C?pc_redir=1409461299&robot_redir=1
  18. I plan on heading back to this one to look around and kill some time. Hopefully grab some reloading stuff.
  19. I have a turret press and plan on sticking with it instead of upgrading to a progressive (RCBS turret). For rifle I use it strictly as a single stage and it is capable of producing consistent sub MOA ammo no problem even with the little bit of flex in a turret. I do use the turret feature for my pistol reloads. 200ish rounds an hour once I get going. Turret is a good compromise for speed and accurate ammo and a much cheaper price point than a full progressive. I own several reloading manuals - the Lee is a pretty good all around manual, also have Hornady, Hodgdon yearly magazine/manuals, Nosler, Speer and Sierra. Most of what I shoot for my AR are Sierra bullets so that manual gets the most use in conjunction with the Hodgdon manual for cross reference. And use mfg data from their websites - usually print off the page I want and keep it in my notebook.
  20. Maury County Gun Club in Columbia. May be further than you want to drive. Membership is $90 a year. 3 pistol ranges and a 200 yard rifle range. Supposed to be putting in a 50x50 yard range for 3 gun type stuff.
  21. I'm interested in learning how to cerakote. I haven't looked into it yet, how difficult is it?
  22. Since no one else is claiming it, why not...I'll take the 3rd bottle.
  23. I have them saved on my DVR waiting on time to watch em.
  24. Just saw that. And this time is seems Red Jacket has distanced themselves from him. http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2014/08/foghorn/breaking-sons-guns-satr-arrested-alleged-rape-12-year-old/ Red Jacket has also legally separated themselves from Will Hayden following this latest accusation, posting the following on their Facebook page: Today, Red Jacket Firearms has received complete legal separation as an entity, from Will Hayden. We will continue to operate, although with heavy hearts and promise to do everything in our power to fill customer orders, back orders and provide support to those affected by these new developments.
  25.   I almost went with a Vortex on my carbine but grabbed the Primary Arms microdot instead. I was thinking about another PA red dot for this pistol but may step up to a Vortex - have a couple of their scopes and love the quality, great value.
