  1. Sportsman license covers everything including the WMA and non-quota permits. So yes you can shoot does. Annual Sportsman An all-inclusive license valid for hunting, trapping, and sport fishing without any state supplemental licenses or non-quota permits and allows holders to apply for quota permits at no additional fee. Annual Sportsman licenses can be purchased from all license agents.
  2. Just watched it, I liked it. But I like all of the other really stupid movies those two do as well. It is good to just kick back and laugh sometimes.
  3. Nice looking builds. What rail is on the top build? I like the vent design.
  4. Dropped a monster doe at 9am. When I say monster, I don't have a scale to weigh her but probably the largest doe I have ever taken. Will spend tomorrow grinding this one and the one from last Saturday into burger. That is 6 for the year and I am probably done, unless I need to get out of the house next week with my parents visiting :)
  5. The couple places I looked at (and the one I went with) advertise 99% success rate. They do screen you as not everyone is a candidate.
  6. Low 30s in the morning, hopefully they are moving. If I can drop one I will probably be done for the year, unless family visiting next week drives me out of the house.
  7. I planned on PRI mags. Saw the D&H mags, they have worked well in 5.56 for me so may try some 6.8. I may end up going with a 16" barrel since the round does work so well from short barrels. An 18" may be slightly more accurate but doubt I will notice, as both brands I am looking at seem to be consistent sub-MOA barrels regardless of length. Thanks for the powder info. The only one listed in my manuals I have experience with us Benchmark and it meters great. Will need to read up on the others, prefer to use a ball powder instead of extruded.
  8. I have mentioned it a few times, but my next AR is going to be a 6.8 SPC ii. Looking for anyone here who has a 6.8 and any suggestions or thoughts you may have. I already have the lower (PSA lower, LaRue MBT-2S 2 stage trigger, VLTOR Emod stock is on the way). For the upper (Anderson upper receiver) I believe I am going with a Bison Armory 18" SPR barrel. May grab an AR Performance barrel if I catch them in stock starting January. I am not against a 16" barrel, 18" *may* be slightly more accurate, but from all I have read 6.8 excels in short barrels so just depends on what I find in stock. Plan on a 13" rail, either Diamondhead VRS like I used on my pistol or a keymod of some brand. I may get a matched bolt with the barrel. Otherwise just a 6.8 BCG from Aim Surplus. I orderd 100 rounds of SSA 100gr Accubond ammo from PSA the other night. I have 250 new, primed FC brass ready to load. I need to find an inexpensive plinking bullet, possibly some Gold Dots from Rocky Mountain Reloading unless I find something cheaper. Also need to research powders more, looking through my Hodgdon/Hornady manuals the only listed powder I have experience with it Benchmark. Probably go with Accubonds, Hornady SST 120gr, or Sierra Gamekings for hunting depending on the accuracy I get. I am on the 6.8 forum and have read / am reading up more. Anyone here have experience with 16"/18" barrel and your thoughts? Reloading bullet and powder suggestions?
  9. I agree, both statements :) Did leave a lot hanging and I would watch future episodes to wrap things up.
  10. Yep I saw that. Forget what place, but at least one theater in the Nashville area.
  11. It is a science fiction show so some of the stuff is out there. But really neat overall. I'm trying not to spoil anything. So watch it when you get a chance.
  12. Sony released to Google, movie is available to buy or rent on Google Play. And is already posted on alternative sites.
  13. Did anyone else catch this 3 night series? I just finished the 3rd night and it was a very interesting show. I enjoyed it. Interesting experiment in human psychology/sociology.
  14. I want a Rock Island tactical in 9mm. A guy at the range had one and it is nice!
  15. Yeah it would be simple enough to call and cancel then re-order. But saving $20 on the reloading items isn't worth the risk of losing the scope combo. With my luck I would cancel the order and before I could get everything added back that scope would go to someone else. So I will just let it be.
  16. Dang, I ordered a die set and Hirnady micro adjust from them the other night with the Bushnell scope. Would have saved $20. Not worth the hassle to cancel and re-order though.
  17. Also, if money is a concern and you are not against financing, Care Credit may be something to look at. When I had my eyes done they had a 2 year, 0% offer that I took advantage of. Loden is not the cheapest option but they seem to be the highest rated. Their procedure is more expensive than some other options because it is all laser and customized to fix each individual eye.
  18. My AR pistol in my build thread is my Christmas present. Told my wife not to buy me anything (she did end up getting me a couple tools I needed, know because she verified what I was looking for) because I bought the parts to finish that pistol over the past 4 weeks.
  19. Yep, 100% laser. And after reading that last post, I may have only had to put drops in a couple times a day as well. It was 2 years ago so not totally sure, but was no less than every 2 hours unless my eyes felt dry. There was no pain at all, but eyes were dry and irritated feeling the first day. You can't rub them for a couple weeks and just lightly for the 3-4th week.
  20. I had to put eye drops in every couple of hours, not 15 minutes. Was an antibiotic/steroid if I remember to prevent infection. As far as the surgery, I had mine done at Loden Vision. Custom lasik for each eye. The surgery they use a clamp to hold your eyes open, then you just lay still for 30 seconds while a laser zaps it. Nothing to it, was in the room for 5 minutes and done. Sat up and could clearly read the clock on the wall across the room that I could not make out before.
  21. Damage Industries has 50% off store wide. Means like $64 BCGs and other great deals. http://damageindustriesllc.com Code is XMAS50 Edit, BCGs show sold out now. Should have posted this sooner.
  22. PSA has some awesome deals right now and past few days. $30 6.8 bolts, $200 off CHF 6.8 barrels, several scope deals..... And amazing ammo prices. I spent quite a bit the other night.
  23. I wore contacts for about 8 years and glasses about 4 years prior to contacts. 2 years ago this spring I went and had LASIK done and have been very happy. Contacts were a pain but much better than glasses, much clearer vision. Not having to deal with them and having 20/15 vision is even better.
  24. I woke up and wasn't raining, weather said 0% and the radar was clear so I headed out. Pulled up at my spot and it started raining. I sat in the rain for an hour and half, got soaked through, and then the sky really opened up so I climbed down and went home. Didn't see anything except one squirrel. I will be back out there on Friday.
  25. Told the wife I was going to watch Die Hard and Lethal Weapon the next couple days. She isn't too happy with those.
