  1. Yes you will be able to drop. I've been in that situation before.
  2. Rocky Mountain Reloading has jacketed stuff sometimes. http://www.shop.rmrbullets.com
  3. For a dime a round I will be buying! Last time I bought any surplus 7.62x54r was just under a quarter a round.
  4. California wildfires caught TT Gunleather. They lost their house and shop. Thankfully they are fine and will be rebuilding. My holster was 1 week or so from shipping.
  5. I have 2 Gen4 19s. Both are very accurate and shoot great with no mods required. The only issue I have had is the trigger pin walking out a bit on the first range session, which seems to be a common complaint with the Gen4s. I reseated the pin and no more issues after a couple hundred rounds.
  6. Google+ changed a few weeks back. Have to use the old version to get the .jpg URL.
  7. That was a fluke, it happens. Welcome back to reality. I would love for then to be a contender again but it is going to be a couple years and even that is iffy. I still think they have the wrong coach too.
  8. I will get mine sent next week. I have funds that should be hitting my PayPal account.
  9. I put $25 on Fan Duel this year. Only done $5 and under entries, made a couple bucks last week. I plan to just keep playing with any small winnings I make.
  10. I considered putting my safe in the garage for a few minutes but I wasn't comfortable having it in view of the public. Mine is in the house with multiple desiccant packs (no outlet in the closet and really no way to run an extension cord but I would love to have a golden rod or similar as well).   My neighbor has two large safes in his garage with a rubber mat under them. He has 2 golden rods in each and has a large dehumidifier in the garage to help out, no issues (been setup this way about 3 years).
  11. Crisco or not, carbon does wipe right off with it.  I am interested in more details, hell maybe I just need to steal the wifes crisco and compare how it cleans.
  12. I haven't heard anything and searching online isn't turning up a date. I signed up on Beretta's website earlier this year to be kept informed on the release and no news from them.
  13. I'm in, TN Eagle Eye.
  14. The 3rd works for me, either time.
  15. I have the Frankford prep kit and it is pretty decent. I recommend upgrading the cutter though, the one it comes with was worn out and took forever to trim in less than 1k rounds. Threw a spare Hornady cutter in and good to go. It is still slow compares to something drill powered. Not sure RPMs but a drill will be quicker if that's all your going for.
  16. If you can't afford the full Giraud, look at their Tri-Way cutter. Throw it in a drill and trim away.
  17. I'm in.   Are we doing one large pot to 1st place, or splitting up between 1st/2nd?
  18. Nashville Escape Game was pretty fun, we went and did a team builder there for work. Fun experience and I am interested in going back to try one of the harder rooms.
  19. Cool, thanks for all the info. I will definitely try to get out to something within the next couple of weeks.   I know Range USA has a GSSF shoot that I think was this past weekend and one weekend for the next 2 months (have to shoot 2 out of 3 to compete). I may even be able to get over and participate in that.
  20. 16 days to go til season kickoff. What date are you thinking for draft?
  21. GSSF seemed like the best place to start out since it is just about shooting, and then maybe transition to one of the other styles. I knew there were a IDPA matches around as I have talked to a couple people who shoot in them. May be good for me to go hang out at one and observe and talk to people.
  22. I just recently joined the GSSF (mostly for the pistol savings) but I would like to start participating in some competitions as well. I have never participated in a firearms competition and know I need to work on my pistol skills more. I have read through the GSSF Report and see a shoot in Lexington KY and Mobile AL - both within driving distance for a weekend getaway. I also see an Indoor League at Range USA over in Jackson and some online references to previous shoots at Nashville Armory. My in-laws live in Jackson so going over there for a weekend a couple months in a row is nothing. Who here shoots in GSSF? What do I need to know beyond what is in the Report and online? I know I need to register as a new member at my first shoot to enter the pistol drawing. What other GSSF competitions are around the area? Again I have never shot any competition but am considering trying to get participate in other local events to meet people, have fun and raise my skill level.
  23. Nice! Details? I have thought about a carbine or AR platform 9mm but haven't made any purchases yet.
  24. I've dry fired two Americans and was fine with the trigger on both. Going with the Creedmoor means another caliber to reload - different powders and another bullet size to stock. It would be strictly a limited target shooting rifle as I wouldn't need it for hunting.   I've pretty much made up my mind I am ditching the 30-06 and going to a .308, just have to figure out which one. .308 would be a bit cheaper to reload (less powder), I already have a bunch of bullets, and it is a bit easier to shoot accurately (less recoil). The 6.5 Creedmoor would just be a bonus since the Ruger American series is not that expensive and reviews are generally favorable on the model.
  25. I read the same thing on a forum about a week ago. It is a logical progression to phase out something that is not as efficient to manufacture.
