  1. I read on another forum they sold out by 9:30am. It was a Friday and Saturday deal only. That was an amazing deal even before the rebate.
  2.   Pistol and Revolver best as I can tell. The box in the rebate form matches what I am looking at online.   https://www.targetsportsusa.com/remington-golden-saber-9mm-luger-ammo-147-gr-jhp-gs9mmc-p-1143.aspx
  3. Not the best defensive ammo but this is a heck of a deal.   Remington Golden Saber rebate, $10 back per BOX up to 10 boxes. You can buy this ammo online for $12.50-$15 per box from 9mm and .45acp, which after the rebate is less than $5 per box for a defensive round. Again, not a HST but most reviews I have seen are decent.   http://www.ammoland.com/2015/11/remington-golden-saber-ammunition-offers-black-friday-savings/#axzz3sBSSqoX3
  4. I will get this one. Black blade. Serial #12 if available.
  5. March sounds good to me.
  6. I've shot their 73gr and 77gr match from my 18" Wilson barrel. Very accurate but Sierra MatchKings are just as accurate and cheaper. I would certainly test the Bergers further if I can get a good deal on them. I've never been impressed by Nosler bullets from an accuracy standpoint - great hunting rounds but their CC match bullets haven't done well for me.
  7. Marble carbon looks amazing to me.
  8. Cerakote, amendment 2 custom coatings here on TGO does great work.
  9. Black Friday deals will be coming up soon. Anyone seen any good deals yet? I am watching for Aero Precision to run a sale and pick up a couple of their lowers. I want to build something besides Anderson and PSA for another DMR style rifle.
  10. Interested in that too. Beretta claimed a high percentage of parts are cross compatible but I don't recall seeing the mag mentioned. You would think they did consider that and the old mags will work since this was intended for military upgrade.
  11. Nice looking knife! Starting to wish I had ordered one and let some other things wait until later, but maybe I will get in on the next one.
  12. I have passed on all of the previous Protechs, but may have to get one of these when available. I've been very content with my Kershaw Blur and CRKT knives but one of these Protech autos have really been calling me...
  13. Don't have one but want one. Maybe will find one on sale for a Christmas present..
  14. SWFA stuff is good but all mil. All of my scopes were/are moa and second focal plane so when I bought the Sightron I stuck with those features that way my experience is consistent across all of my scopes. Really, moa vs mil doesn't matter much (IMO anyway) anymore since you will (should anyways) use a Ballistic calculator on your phone or have a dope card on the stock that will show the drop at each range. I just stuck with what I had and knew.
  15. I have seen a few options online, just haven't tried any yet (haven't needed the stop since load testing and not reaching out yet). Ideas I have seen: A dot of white out on the turret to know where to stop. Not a hard zero stop but seems it could work well. Rubber o-ring 2 litter cap ring Large washer sanded down Vortex shims may fit and I have some already. I am interested if you can easily make something that would work.
  16. I don't remember there being a lot of pressure, but it was 8 years ago.
  17. I've been once, didn't get anything because it was 70 degrees the second week of November and nothing was moving where the guide took us. We were up in Craig, this was 8 years ago. Went with my dad, we used a guide since neither of us knew anything about the area and the well knw, TV channel guide ended up being a complete rip off.... Anyways, loved the trip and being in the mountains. I want to go back, just a matter of time, money and finding someone to split the costs with. Pretty sure my FIL would go in a heartbeat. I took my 30-06, had it zeroed at 200 and was confident it would have handled any shot out to 350 or so. But yes, good excuse for a new rifle!
  18. My only gripe with the Sightron is it does not have a zero stop, the Vortex does. Minor detail and there are ways to rig it if you search online.
  19. Done, let me know if you need anything.
  20. I have a Vortex PST 4-16 on my 6.8 AR and love it, great glass and features for the money. I have shot it out to 500 yards.   My .308 has a Sightron SIII on it. It is in the same price range as Vortex but reviews online placed it as higher quality glass. When I called SWFA to discuss they agreed the Sightron was better than Vortex so that is what I went with. It is very bright and clear, the furthest I have shot with it is 300 yards but have viewed targets at 500.   Posts online will tell you that all you need is 1X power per 100 yards, so a 10X scope at 1000 yards. I agree you can shoot effectively with a 10X scope of good quality but I prefer ti have additional magnification available and dial back as needed.    A higher quality scope (bright/clear glass) with a lower max magnification is better than a budget scope with higher magnification.
  21. If you go past a Cabelas stop in and pick up 1k to try, only $20-25 depending on their sale.
  22. I've used a few hundred of their small pistol primers so far and no problems. I know a guy who claims to have quit using CCI/Federal primers and using only S&B now for all his pistol and small rifle loads because they are considerably cheaper.
  23. Congrats! Great news.

I have the larger Paraframe and it is a great knife. That is a great price for one!
  25. I've ordered from Midway a couple of times this year but they are never my first choice. I ordered this year because they had the 10% off coupons that made it worthwhile. Their shipping costs are terrible but if you add anything from the free shipping pages it drastically cuts the shipping charge. My last order I added a $5 Cold Steel paring knife and saved $10 on shipping. They have $2 free shipping items that can save you the same amount.
