  1. Don't get me started on AR mags. I now have about 60 of those, but recently I have been focused on breeding my pistol mags.
  2. I hear ya. I am up to 12 mags for the P226, but I have 22 mags for my P228. The madness never stops.
  3. I have never forgot about one, but I do have one I bought about 12 years ago.....and still have not fired. A nice, pristine SIG P226. Funny thing is I keep buying mags for it. You can never have too many mags. Maybe one of these days I will actually take it to the range.
  4. The "submit entry" selection did not work for you?
  5. Welcome!
  6. Welcome!
  7. Awww.....somebody got a speeding ticket once. Did it hurt your little feelings?
  8. Probably someone who wants the same caliber bullet, but with lighter recoil than a 9mm. I agree that it would probably not be that big of a seller.
  9. They do make one, the Glock 28. They also have a Glock 25 which is in the 19/23 size. However, due to our import laws, they cannot be imported into the US. Edit: Ooops. I just saw you were talking about a Kel-Tec or LCP sized pistol. Yeah, they don't make one like that. However, they would still probably not be able to import it. Deerslayer beat me to the answer, anyway.
  10. Tungsten, I found this on the web. It is the number for the Casualty Assistance at Ft. Campbell. I believe the funeral director needs to call, but maybe someone else could as well: Maybe this will help.
  11. Welcome!
  12. I vote for hot pink! Seriously: My Mosquito came with two different recoil springs. One for use with high power stuff like CCI MiniMag, and another for use with stuff like bulk pack ammo. Make sure you are using the correct recoil spring with the correct ammo. Also, be sure an lube up the Mosquito very well, and give it a good break-in with CCI MiniMag ammo. I would put a few hundred rounds of CCI through it before I would start using the bulk pack stuff. Make sure your thumb is not riding the slide catch while shooting. I have found that to be a common cause of this, as well.
  13. Ah, I see. Thanks.
  14. Welcome back! BTW, what is TCS? Not familiar with that forum.
  15. You're going to make me do all kinds or crazy stuff, aren't you? Damn.
  16. You mean you won't be training like that during your upcoming Defensive Pistol course? I want my $200 back!
  17. If it is, she just shot the hell out of it. Cool video. I hope I am still throwing lead downrange at that age.
  18. Glad he was not seriously injured. Here's to a speedy recovery!
  19.:lol: That's hilarious! "Have Metro police attack Williamson County!":lol:
  20. I have never shipped using USPS, but I have heard that things generally go well. The thing to remember about shipping UPS or FedEx is not to take your shipment to one of the FedEx or UPS stores that you see everywhere in Kinko's or Office Max. Some of them cannot accept firearms, and the staff is very ignorant of laws and company shipping policies. You need to take your shipment to an actual UPS or FedEx facility (hub w/ delivery trucks coming and going). Your shipping experience will be much better.
  21. It depends on what kind or armor you are talking about. In the original post, Obama is clearly referring to concealable body armor (like police officers use) as he refers to "vest." Most police wear Level IIA, II, or IIIA body armor. They are not designed to stop rifle rounds. A .223 round will easily penetrate these vests, as will other rifle calibers. Of course, makes no difference from what rifle it was fired (AR-15 or a bolt-action hunting rifle), the .223 would penetrate the vest. The only way to stop rifle rounds is to wear some sort of Level IV body armor. However, Level IV stuff is very heavy, uncomfortable, and not concealable.
  22. I don't know of anybody in your area that does the bluing. CCR Refinishing in Greeneville does excellent gun refinishing work, but I don't think they do bluing. You are probably going to have to ship it to have a good, professional job done. I checked a few websites of gun refinishers, and their prices ranged from $165 to $280 for the high polish bluing. Personally, I would ship your gun directly to one of the refinishers.
