TN Firearms Freedoms Act
Reservoir Dog replied to whitewolf001's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Agreed. There are some things in the law that I like......specifically like prohibiting state/local govts from assisting the Feds with their schemes. However, the other stuff about prohibiting federal taxes, federal registration/tracking or criminalizing people (Fed agents) from enforcing these federal laws, is just laughable. The state has no control over that, and it just gives people the impression that this law has teeth, when actually is does not. -
TN Firearms Freedoms Act
Reservoir Dog replied to whitewolf001's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
No, it does not. TCA 39-17-1302 still requires all NFA items to be properly registered on the NFRTR. The TN FFA is nothing more than "feel-good" law passed by the legislature, just to thumb our noses at the Feds. It really does nothing, and means nothing, to existing laws. -
The National Report website is satire. Come on, guys! Just because it's on the internet, doesn't mean it's real.

cops goes ballistic over " go get a warrant" (language)
Reservoir Dog replied to Dustbuster's topic in Show and Tell
You guys realize that this video is not real, right? It is a joke video made by two cops. -
I have a ZVOX 580 and absolutely love it! Multiple speakers and a subwoofer in one enclosure. Of course, it is not really a sound bar........more like a sound base, as your TV sits on top of it.

Nothing wrong with Brown Bear, It's good ammo. Much, much better than Wolf. Brown Bear is my "Go To" plinking ammo in 9mm and .223. Too bad it is CTD. I refuse to spend my money with them.

I used Safelite to replace the cracked windshield in a Toyota 4Runner I used to own. I was very pleased with Safelite. No issues at all.

New Red Dot: Eyeball Puke
Reservoir Dog replied to Father Goose's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
I have astigmatism, and have the same issue with holographic sights. I was unaware that holo sights had that issue when I purchased my first Eotech. I thought something was wrong with the sight, until I read up on them. I still run a holo sight, but switched to Aimpoint Micro sights on my rifles........better to have one fuzzy dot, than a fuzzy dot and big fuzzy circle. -

Part of a TICS check is to run the info through NICS, so if NICS goes down.......then TICS is down. A lot of the times that TICS is not working is because of problems on the NICS end. -
I am not a big fan of bullpups, but I kind of like it. Sort of like the SA-80, only a little better looking.

Heat pumps, who got em, do you recommend
Reservoir Dog replied to 1pointofview's topic in General Chat
I have an American Standard heat pump, and I really like it. I have had it about a year. Prior to that, I had a Carrier heat pump which sucked ass. -
I would not believe anything from the Examiner website, Their reputation for accuracy is.........well.........they have no reputation for accuracy. It is a website of blogs rather than legitimate news stories. Besides, the story reads like it is fake.............and it's in the Astrology & Paranormal section of the website. So, yeah. :-\

So, think the new "hizzonor"...
Reservoir Dog replied to Steelharp's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Doubtful. De Blasio is about as socialist as they come. As long as keeps his shenanigans within the NYC city limits, I don't care what he does. -

On my answering machine at home, I have a message that someone left on it from about 4 years ago. I refuse to delete it. To this day, I occasionally play it for a good laugh.

As far as I know, there is no legal restriction on putting that up, but it's a dumb idea. Plus, if you actually shoot someone for trespassing, you will go to prison for a very long, long time.

This guy is an idiot. I guess he did not read the disclaimer beneath each picture he showed off the Bud's website:

Seriously Concerned (ok, no but dang it!)
Reservoir Dog replied to Paladin132's topic in General Chat
Fear not. Arndt may be out, be had nothing to do with Empire, Jedi, and Raiders. He is way, way, way too young to have been involved in those. Lawrence Kasdan did write all of those movies, and he is still attached to the project with Abrams. I am looking forward to the Abrams versions as I have enjoyed his reboot of the Star Trek franchise. Honestly, he could not do much worse than what Lucas did in Episodes I,II and III.
