  1. Did he? I never really paid attention to anything he said.
  2. Possibly. The guy selling it is in Selmer, TN. I've never heard of tntguns. Is that a shop in Selmer?
  3. Even though I am not a fan of how he obtained the speaker job, the quick interview he gave afterwords possibly pointed to some light at the end of the tunnel: http://blogs.nashvillescene.com/pitw/2009/01/naifeh_outsmarts_republicans_a.php I guess only time will tell.
  4. Early S&W AR receivers had problems with PMAGs. You probably have one of those. The problem was corrected in later receivers. I have heard that S&W will fix the problem if you contact them.
  5. $9K+!! The Obama election has created a lot of suckers in gun-owner community.
  6. I don't see a lie in his quote. He did vote for a Republican (himself), and the Republican Party nominee was Mumpower. You gotta love politics.
  7. I make a point to go by the GFA table at every gun show, just for the reason you stated above.
  8. Let's loosen the tin-foil hats for a minute. Newsmax is not known for it's accuracy in reporting. They have had to retract several of their more controversial stories due to outright false information. Apparently, this article is no different. In the above quote, Newsmax created a very misleading statement based on a December 2003 interview with Gen. Franks in Cigar Aficionado magazine. Franks was talking about how an attacks by terrorist puts fear into a country's population, and can make a population rethink the very fundamentals of their society. In that line, Franks stated that the effect of a WMD attack in the US, could possibly cause our population to question the Constitution, and militarize to prevent another WMD attack. The Newsmax quote makes it sound like the US government would suspend the Constitution, and install a military form of government. That is not what Franks said. Here is the question, and Franks' actual answer: You can look a the whole interview: http://www.cigaraficionado.com/Cigar/CA_Profiles/People_Profile/0,2540,201,00.html
  9. Look on the barrel (near the muzzle) of your Colt. It probably has "5.56mm" marked on it. That will tell you that the chamber is set to 5.56 specs. Many Colts are marked .223 on the receiver, but actually have a 5.56 barrel/chamber. As far as the Ruger, I have heard that it is OK to shoot 5.56. Someone correct me if that is wrong.
  10. Yeah, I did not see much either. The show was good for the humorous effect. Like .40/per round for Wolf ammo, and $1400 for Doublestar AR's. Some of these people are smoking some serious crack.
  11. You only missed a bunch of tin-foil crap. Nothing important.
  12. I'll probably stop by for a bit on Saturday. Nothing else to do.
  13. This email, has been floating around the internet for a few years. The statistics did not come for the LA Times, and some of the claims are false or misleading. So, take it for what it's worth. http://www.snopes.com/politics/immigration/taxes.asp
  14. Not many good ammo places in Nashville. As much as I hate to say it, Franklin Gun Shop (south of Nashville) probably has the best ammo selection I have seen around here. However, their prices are :screwy:. I have seen FMJ .32ACP at Wal-Mart in the past. You may check there. If you can't locate it in any stores, I would order off of Ammunition To Go. They have FMJ and Silvertips listed on their site. http://www.ammunitiontogo.com/
  15. Yep. I don't think the Lions could do any worse.
  16. I would probably carry FMJ ammo. Also, I have heard good things about Winchester Silvertip ammo in .32ACP.
  17. No surprise they released him. He's nothing but a punk. Maybe the Detroit Lions will pick him up.

    Sig 232?

Never fired one, but I have always heard good things about them. A friend carried one as a BUG for a few years. He liked it. $400 is a good price for LNIB unfired. The P232 is the one of the P Series I do not own, but have been wanting to get for some time. Maybe some day.
  19. Ah, the "big fatty." I hear it is very popular.
  20. Nice article. I love my SP101 DAO. I usually carry a semi-auto, but still carry the SP101 occasionally.
  21. I don't feel your age will be an issue. From what I have seen, most state and local agencies do not have an age cutoff, although some do. You need to research any agency you are interested in to see if they have an age restriction. As Todd pointed out, you are already over the age limit for Federal LE jobs. Good luck!
  22. Great job!! Congratulations!
  23. I am not sure it is required, because the citizenship certification is included on the C&R application itself. I sent in the form anyway, just to be on the safe side. If you still want the form, PM me your email address and I will send it to you. I have it in PDF form.
  24. Nah, just a former NPS ranger (1992-1994). Ahh, good times.
