  1. Yes. Anytime you transport NFA items interstate, you need to have an approved Form 20. The exception is with suppressors and AOWs; you do not need prior approval to transport them across state lines. If you are going to do a lot of traveling back and forth between the same place in GA, it is my understanding that the ATF will approve a Form 20 for the entire year. But it would only be good for that one location in GA. You would have to do another one for a different location.
  2. I guess you are talking about the C&R FFL application. Correct? I put "owner/collector" in the box.
  3. I am not aware of any special forms that need to be filled out. Ammo is classified as ORM-D, and should not require any hazardous materials shipping papers. Like I said, go to a UPS or FedEx hub for shipping. Don't use (or ask for advice) from the UPS Store or FedEx Kinko's people. They don't really know the regulations, especially when dealing with firearms/ammo.
  4. Ammo will have to be shipped via FedEx ground or UPS ground. Packed in a sturdy box with ORM-D labels. That is really all there is to it. FYI: Don't call the UPS/FedEx store people, they cannot accept firearms/ammo shipments, and they really don't know the rules anyway. You will have to take the ammo to one of the FedEx/UPS hub facilities.
  5. Here you go. From the ATF website: ATF Online - Firearms FAQs
  6. Red SIG cases typically signify CPO (Certified Pre-Owned) pistols.
  7. Yep. Normal. That's actually the "top" part of the case. Unless someone at the factory put the foam in the wrong way. ETA: the cutout is there so they can slide the manual and all the other crap behind it.
  8. Funny. Not true, but funny.
  9. Kind of funny. Although, it doesn't sound real.
  10. You might check with Jeff Walle at Guns & Leather. I don't know if he does cutting and threading on AR-type barrels. If you can't find anyone local, I have heard good things about ADCO Firearms ==> http://www.adcofirearms.com/shopservices/
  11. Welcome.
  12. TW53 is the Twin Cities Ordinance Plant (Minneapolis, MN). The "53" indicates it was probably made in 1953.
  13. I believe black tips indicate armor piercing (AP) ammo.
  14. Invoice does not equal dealer cost.
  15. No need to insult me by calling me a politician. Geez!
  16. Funny. Too bad the last few photos are all photoshops.
  17. Check out their price for 1K of LC M855 ammo.
  18. I saw that too, but I took it as a joke. Just a way to sneak in a facetious comment without it being deleted. I could be wrong.
  19. $455 is way too low! I much prefer CTD's price: http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/AMM223C-5.html :screwy:
  20. Is the Sheriff up for election anytime soon? Sounds like someone is starting a little rumor.

  22. A mere diagnosis is not enough to prevent you from purchasing a firearm, or acquiring a HCP. It takes a bit more that that. To purchase a firearm, the ATF 4473 reads: The TN HCP requirement reads: As long as you don't fall into one of those catagories, you should be fine.

    Nitron Finish

It probably is the coating/finish that is applied after the nitriding process.
