  1. Yes, the Brown Bear is lacquer coated steel. Silver Bear is zinc coated, and the Golden Bear is brass coated. All are made by Barnaul.
  2. Brown Bear ammo is good stuff. You won't win any accuracy competitions with it, but it is great stuff for shooting and plinking.
  3. Manufacturing an AOW requires a Form 1 ($200 tax stamp). AOW transfers are $5.
  4. TICS also checks for stolen firearms. The make/model/caliber/serial number of the firearm are entered into the TICS system at the time of purchase. Every once in a while, you actually get a stolen hit.
  5. I have the Vickers Tactical extended release on both my G19 and G23. I really like it. It also has rounded edges. Much more comfortable than the standard release.
  6. I carry FMJ in my Ruger LCP.
  7. Wolf shirts are awesome! Just look at the reviews for this wolf shirt on Amazon: Amazon.com: The Mountain Men's Three Wolf Moon Short Sleeve Tee: Clothing
  8. That's an awful small C-17. Nice attempt at a bad photoshop.
  9. The section of law is Title 18 US Code, Section 922(e). The way I read it, you are only required to inform the carrier if you are shipping a firearm to someone other than a licensed dealer/manufacturer/collector/importer. Title 18 USC 922(e):
  10. Sounds like it was a great class. Wish I could have attended.
  11. I think you would probably go to jail if you are caught. Including the NFA violation, the TFFA does not change TCA 39-17-1302. Suppressors are still illegal, unless you fall under one of the exceptions. There is no exception for a "made in TN" suppressor, SBR, SBS, or MG. I fail to see why everyone is getting excited over this TFFA. It is nothing more than a "feel good" act. Other than the warm and fuzzy feeling, it really means nothing.
  12. I enjoyed Borat. I never laughed so hard, but felt so guilty about it. I will probably like Bruno, as well.
  13. Definitely interested. Hopefully my poor knees can handle all that shifting of positions.
  14. I got lucky about a month ago, and got 600 rounds of .380 @ $15 per box of 50. I set aside 200 rounds to break in my LCP, and put away 400 rounds for the future.

    NEED HELP!!

From the TN website: The way I read it, if you have just one DWI conviction you can get a pemit. The prohibition only kicks in when you have 2 or more (and one of them can't be within 5 years of application). At least that is how I read it. I may be wrong.
  16. I had sushi for lunch. Mmmmmmmm, sushi.
  17. That movie sucked. It was not funny.........at all. I was very disappointed. However, Anchorman was hilarious. It is probably the only Will Ferrell movie I like.
  18. Both addresses are roughly the same location. Go with the 10th Ave address, that is the official location.
  19. One of the sites is by Wendi Thomas, a reporter for the Commercial Appeal. My surprised face --> :-\
  20. Stop ejecting and chambering the same rounds over and over. It is not good for the rounds and will damage them, as you are now seeing. +1 on throwing them away. If the gun is to be locked in a safe during the day, I suggest just keeping it loaded.
  21. Ahhh, this internet story has been around for many years. It's funny, but it's not real. snopes.com: General Reinwald Remark
  22. Looks really good. I, too, will have to fork over my money come November. I am glad to see Infinity Ward developing this installment. COD3 and COD5 (without Infinity Ward) were not as good as the other installments.
