  1. On most AR-style rifles, the chambering should be stamped on the barrel near the muzzle. Edit: Beaten again!!
  2. Actually, it is the opposite. Once a rifle, always a rifle. You can convert a pistol into a rifle or SBR (if barrel is less than 16"), but once it is a rifle, it is a rifle from there on. You would have to engrave the receiver with your name, city and state. I have seen the engraving done by Hero-Gear, and it was very good. Also, Orion Arms (Orion Arms ) does excellent engraving for SBRs. Edit: Damn, I'm a slow typer.
  3. Sorry, not familiar with that one.
  4. What light did you buy?
  5. Snopes says it is true: snopes.com: Giant George
  6. Welcome to TGO!
  7. Good review. This is the main reason that I find IWB carry uncomfortable. There is already too much of me in my pants, no need to add anything else in there.
  8. Go to: Start > Control Panel > Performance and Maintenance > Free Up Space on Your Hard Disk Disk Cleanup will analyze your hard drive and generate a list of things that can be deleted. The recycle bin will be listed, and will give you the total size of all the files in it.
  9. Jay Leno had his run on The Tonight Show for 17 years. He needs to bow out of this fight and let Conan have his chance. Personally, I think Conan is doing a great job. If Conan leaves NBC, he will probably get gig on a another network. Hopefully, he will stay where he is.
  10. If you had bought the pistol from one of the dealers you called, I am sure they would have done whatever they could have to make it right. I am also sure that any S&W dealer would assist you in returning the pistol to S&W for service, whether you bought it from them, or not. However, expecting a dealer (from whom you did not buy the pistol from) to accept a broken S&W pistol in trade just because they are a S&W dealer, is simply ridiculous. Yeah, you are way off base.
  11. Did you buy the M&P from one of these dealers? I am guessing you did not. If you had, I am sure they would have done whatever they could to assist you in getting the pistol repaired. If you didn't buy it from them, it's pretty silly to expect them to take a broken gun in trade just because they are a S&W dealer. You should send the gun back to S&W for repair. I am betting you would get quicker service than just trying to request the new part yourself.
  12. I have not shot enough of their ammo to give a definitive opinion, but I did fire about 300rds of their .223 ammo without any problems. It seemed like good stuff.
  13. Double tap. :-\
  14. Yeah, I have been having the same issue for some time now. When I click on a link, it usually takes about 15 to 20 seconds for the page to load. Sometimes longer. My browser (Firefox 3.5.7) just sits there saying "waiting for www.tngunowners.com." Sometimes it times out.
  15. I went through 500rds of their 9mm during a training course last year. I did not have any problems. Seemed like it was decent stuff.
  16. Welcome!
  17. From the school's website: So, it appears that "LOUI" was the nickname for that student. I guess each hoodie had a different name on it.The hoodies are definitely disrespectful and in very poor taste.
  18. You fill out a form certifying that you are a US Citizen. It is kind of stupid, but they require it. Certificate of Compliance (Form 5330.20): http://nfadealers.com/pdf/compliance.pdf
  19. He is referring to the USAS-12 manufactured by Daewoo, and it is classified as a DD. The SPAS is a totally different shotgun made by Franchi. It is a regular shotgun, and not a DD.
  20. Butler Creek Steel Lips and Tactical Innovations are the way to go for 10/22 mags. Butler Creek gives you the best bang for the money. TI mags are expensive.
  21. There is a thread on AR15.com about the new Gen 4. Looks pretty interesting. I would like to try one out. Gen 4 G22 now in stock - AR15.COM
  22. I have never fired a PK380, so my opinion is based solely on handling one. I did not care for it very much. It is large for a .380, and it does feel cheap. As stated above, it has no slide stop lever. Walther was probably trying to streamline the design, so they omitted slide stop lever. I will reserve final opinion until after I fire one, but personally, I like the Bersa Thunder concealed carry version over the PK380.
