+1 The Laserlyte rear sight laser, though interesting, is a poor design. You are going to have to adjust your grip on the pistol in order to activate the laser. That is not so good. If you want a laser, I would definitely go with the Crimson Trace grips. They activate just by using a proper shooting grip on the pistol. No need to momentarily alter your grip, or your draw from the holster.

The M&P 15-22 is nice, but I prefer the SIG 522. The SIG has the telescoping/side-folding stock, and uses BDM mags (where the S&W uses their own mags). BDM mags are available pretty much everywhere. A downside to the SIG is the lack of sights.

I like Mil-Comm MC-25 (cleaner/degreaser). Smells good, non-greasy, and water based for easy cleanup. Then I lube it up with some CLP.

You are good to go with 5.56 spec ammo. Go by what is stamped on the barrel. Ignore what is on the receiver.
