  1. I am debating on taking this class, as well. I need to make up my mind soon, as I would need to buy some more equipment (and pay for the class registration. )
  2. [Cousin Vinny] What's a grit? [/Cousin Vinny]
  3. ALL SPIDERS MUST DIE!!!
  4. If you are talking about using the Gen3 recoil spring, then the answer is no. It will not work. The Gen4 dual spring is bigger in diameter than the Gen3 spring, and the frame and slide have been redesigned to accommodate it. If you tried to use the Gen3 spring in a Gen4, the recoil spring would simply fall out of the slide, as there is nothing to hold it in. Someone would have to design an aftermarket single spring system to work in the Gen4, which if there are problems, might not be far off.
  5. Cool! Glad we got if figured out. That's surprising. Mil-spec tubes are also slightly smaller in diameter than commercial tubes, so the stocks are made a little smaller to fit properly. I am actually surprised that you were even able to get the mil-spec stock on a commercial tube. One time, I accidentally put a mil-spec stock on one of my commercially tubed ARs. I could not move it, and liked to never got it off.
  6. I'd like to see a pic of your gun with the stock taken off. With special attention paid to the end of the receiver extension (buffer tube). Couple of observations: - You appear to have a mil-spec Magpul MOE stock. Correct? - Oddly, the threading on your buffer tube looks like a commercial spec tube. Commercial tubes are a little longer than mil-spec tubes, and they have an angle cut on the end of the tube. Mil-spec tubes have a flat end. It almost seems that you have a mil-spec stock on a commercial tube. Does your stock collapse and expand easily, or is it very tight and difficult? Bryan, you have my phone number. Give me a call, if you want, and I'll see if I can figure it out.
  7. FFL/SOT holders can possess a G18 (or other non-transferable MGs) if they have a demo letter from a law enforcement agency.
  8. Sorry to hear of this.
  9. Yeah, I'm getting the same thing. Only on the home page.
  10. It's in stock at The Outpost Armory.
  11. The last time I was at The Outpost Armory near Murfreesboro, they had Hornady Critical Defense in .40 cal.
  12. No. Do not shoot GAP ammo in a .45 ACP.
  13. I used to have a collection of rounds just like that. They were all pulled out of factory new boxes from most of the major manufacturers. This can happen with any manufacturer. That is the reason I visually inspect each round before it gets loaded into a mag.
  14. +1 The ejectors are different on the Glock 9mm pistols. You should also swap out the .40 cal trigger mechanism housing (w/ ejector) with one designed for the 9mm. Your pistol may work without changing the part, but you are likely to experience some malfunctions.
  15. Yep. That thing just will not die.
  16. Here is an excellent discussion board for FBI information, as well as other federal, state, and local LE job information. 911 Job Forums Most of the members are looking for LE jobs or are LEOs. All of the moderators are LEOs. Excellent site for research and asking questions.
  17. I would let them know to expect the shipment. If your gun is shipping from another FFL, your local FFL will need to send a copy of their license to the shipping FFL.
  18. No problem. Those little roll pins can be frustrating at times. Good to meet you, as well.
  19. Glad it all worked out. I have heard good things about Tasco's customer service. I guess this confirms it.
  20. Call Tasco customer service at 1-800-423-3537. Maybe they will ship you a replacement screw.
  21. SB 909 regarding those plates is in Missouri, not Tennessee. It appears that Tennessee does not have such a specialty plate.
