That's nice!

I am very sorry for your loss.

Paying MSRP is pretty normal for a just-introduced, hard to get, hot item. I have seen MSRP+ for some really in-demand items. I have seen one local store selling the Solo for $699, which is just under MSRP, and they have pre-sold about 6 or 7 at that price. Will the prices come down? Sure. But you are going to have to wait for that. Having played (not fired) a little with the Solo, I have to say I really like it. It seems solid and well built. I would like to have one, but I am going to wait a while before I purchase for two reasons: I am going to wait for the price to come down, and to make sure all the bugs are worked out. This is a radical departure from what Kimber normally makes, so I want to make sure everything is good to go.

Gemtech suppressors in .22lr and 9mm; and planning on SBRing a couple of my ARs. Damn! That is $800 in stamps alone.

Tactical Solutions makes a nice M4-style .22 upper. Looks just like the real thing, and the weight is very close.

Taking their hero worship to a new level. This guy is paying about $120 a year for that thing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Double Star makes a decent AR for the money. If it is a base Double Star AR-15, then $700 is about the going price. It's not a "deal" by any means, but he is not trying to gouge you, either.

Something similar happened to my father back in the 1990's. He paid his taxes, then go a letter saying that he overpaid. The IRS sent him a check for that amount....so he kept it. About 2 years later, he got a notice from the IRS that he had underpaid his taxes for that same year by the exact amount that the IRS had refunded him. They wanted the money back, plus interest and penalties. It was crazy. After a few weeks of butting heads with the IRS, they waived the interest and penalties, and my dad sent them a check for the money he knew he owed in the first place.

Yes, it does. We should ban robberies at gun stores, or within 1000ft. of a gun store....................................oh, wait.

As much as I would like to see these Westboro "people" put in a boxcar and dumped into the ocean, I have to agree with SCOTUS. I wholeheartedly disagree with what and where they protest, but they have the right to do it.

Constitutional Law, Union and State.
Reservoir Dog replied to Worriedman's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Wiretapping is not a violation of self-incrimination. Not even remotely close. The 5th Amendment reads: The key word is "compelled" (by the government). If you are planning your crime over the phone, or blabbing to your cronies about all the banks you've robbed, you are doing that voluntarily. No one is forcing you to do that. Wiretapping is a 4th Amendment issue, not a 5th. -
Has the high capacity mag ban started?
Reservoir Dog replied to Raoul's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Yes! I would support that. -
I played around with one in .45LC, didn't shoot it, though. It seemed nice, and had a smooth action. I would probably pick one in .38/.357, since I have a couple of other revolvers in the that caliber.

This is just too cool! Lewis & Clark Air Rifle
Reservoir Dog replied to E4 No More's topic in Long Guns
Apparently, there is another thing you don't remember. Seriously, I remember the Lewis and Clark expedition being taught in grade school, and when I took American History in college. They never said anything about the air rifle, though. That was a great video. I wish they would have showed the pump that was used to compress the air. -
Ahhhh......now this makes much more sense. Yes, punctuation and capitalization would have been nice.

That is another question I had. OP: If it for a gun you purchased, go to the dealer where you made the purchase. They will probably give you a copy of your 4473, or a letter confirming your purchase. If you are looking for info on a firearm purchase made by someone else, you are out of luck. I highly doubt any FFL will give out the info to you regarding a purchase made by another person.

Not quite sure what you are asking for. Contact info for who?

Done. I am very sorry for your loss. You and your family have my deepest condolences.

Glock 18 pistol
Reservoir Dog replied to choo---choo's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
Ahh....I see. All of the G18s I have seen have been the compensated type. I guess I thought that was the only way they came. Either way, they are a blast to shoot. -
Glock 18 pistol
Reservoir Dog replied to choo---choo's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
As stated earlier, you don't have to be law enforcement. Also, that is not a G18. Looks like a converted G17 (notice the silver colored attachment to the back of the slide.......also, G18s have a ported barrel and slide, the one in the video does not.). Before you ask, the conversions are subject to the same NFA rules as the G18. -
IMDB shows a release sometime in 2011. However, the cast is a bunch of unknowns, and no big name director/producer.............so I am guessing crappy performance at the theaters or direct-to-DVD release. Hopefully, I will be wrong. Red Dawn (2011) - IMDb

Yes, as long the person is a resident of TN, and you have no reason to believe that he is prohibited from possessing a firearm. Handguns cannot be shipped using the US Mail. Handguns must be shipped UPS or FedEx, however good luck finding a UPS or FedEx place that will let you ship it to a non-FFL. Although it is permissible under Federal Law, UPS or FedEx will usually only ship to a FFL. From the ATF website: ATF Online - Firearms - Frequently Asked Questions - Unlicensed Persons

Constitutional Law, Union and State.
Reservoir Dog replied to Worriedman's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
So, what was the definition of "judicial power" 250 years ago? Although it is not explicitly defined in the Constitution, I believe the Founding Fathers intended "judicial power" to include judicial review of legislative acts. Marbury v. Madison merely formalized that. The three branches of our government are designed to be checks and balances over one another. Why create a Judiciary with no power void laws that are contrary to the Constitution. Alexander Hamilton seemed to sum it up nicely in Federalist #78: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Constitutional Law, Union and State.
Reservoir Dog replied to Worriedman's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I don't know what Constitution you are reading, but Article 3, Section 1, clearly states that the "judicial power of the United States, shall be vested in one Supreme Court,..." The definition of "judicial power" is the ability to interpret, enforce, and void laws based on their scope and constitutionality. So, SCOTUS didn't make that up for themselves.
