This. Our computer at work got infected with the XP Security virus, and our IT guy cleared it up with ComboFix.

Be very careful with the Facebook ads on the side of their page. In addition to being spammers, they are also full of viruses. My anti-virus software has blocked many viruses off the Facebook ads. Then after TGO's banner ads got infected a while back, I started using Ad Block Plus to block all ads on every website. No problems since then. As far as Facebook itself, I like it. I keep in touch with classmates from high school and college, and friends from previous jobs. When I first started going on FB, I got addicted to playing Mafia Wars, but that got old after a while, so I gave that up. I don't bother with the games anymore, and just use FB to keep in touch with friends and relatives.

Guess who bought the PLR-16 used in the Hendersonville incident?
Reservoir Dog replied to DaveTN's topic in General Chat
I could care less if it is legal or not. It's stupid and dangerous. All this guy is doing is looking for a payday. He is a pretty pathetic person IMHO. As far as "lawyering up," that's fine. He can waste his time and money all he wants, but in the situation I described above, he would have no case whatsoever. -
Guess who bought the PLR-16 used in the Hendersonville incident?
Reservoir Dog replied to DaveTN's topic in General Chat
Not really. I don't go around, carrying firearms openly to specifically seek a confrontation with law enforcement. Through Embody's previous actions, he puts himself, LEOs, and anybody else who happens to be around him, in dangerous situations. Why someone would knowingly sell this guy a firearm is beyond me, but to each his own. If I owned a gun store, I would have told him to GTFO, and slept very soundly about it. I would not want my name on anything associated with him. And "kwik" could have not done anything about it. As a private business owner, I could refuse to sell to anyone I wanted. I don't know what "river of ****" you are referring to, but there is not much Embody could do, other than go crying about it on one of few gun boards that he has not been banned from. -

So, some local shop was stupid enough to sell him a gun? -
Holster question - with or without thumb break
Reservoir Dog replied to a topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
I always carry in an open top holster, no thumb breaks for me. My favorite is a Galco Combat Master. I have one for each of my carry pistols. It holds the pistol very securely. -
Tactical Response - Fighting Pistol
Reservoir Dog replied to RobertNashville's topic in Training Discussions
I have seriously been thinking about taking their Fighting Rifle course. Looks like a darn good training. Bob, I am very sorry to hear about your wife. Stay strong! -
Thanks, everybody! I hope it will be a good shooter. Oh, no! Just like an AR-15? I started with one of those, now I have five.

Used Suppressors?
Reservoir Dog replied to Lances4803's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
I have not seen any dealers selling used suppressors. Your best bet is to buy one from an individual. The Outpost Armory also has Gemtech suppressors. -
I have never been much of a 1911 person, but lately I have been wanting one to play with. About a week ago, I was at the Outpost Armory, and they had a very lightly used (still looks brand new) Kimber SIS Pro. I always kind of liked the look and weight of this pistol, and the price was right, so.................home it went. Haven't got a chance to shoot it yet, but I am looking forward to it.

I have used Travel Pro for many years. It is top notch stuff. Not really "tacti-cool" though. RedOxx looks pretty good, as well.

Sorry for your loss.

Owl Hollow Gun Club is the name of the gun club that operated at the Charlie Haffner Memorial Range (CHMR). Their lease expired and they no longer operate at the range. CHMR is still open and available for use. Here is the website: CHMR

As MacGyver stated, TN has no such law. You have to be on the property itself. Hardaway's bill only serves as a sentence enhancement.......not creating any new violations.
-
Well, it seems to me that the intent is to create a 1000ft. rule, even though it doesn't word it that way. At least this does not create any new laws, but serves to create a sentence enhancement for crimes committed in those areas. Calling it a "Crime Free Zone" is quite hilarious. Why doesn't Hardaway just amend his bill to make everywhere a "Crime Free Zone." There...........problem solved. No more crime.

Best window tint shop - Memphis area?
Reservoir Dog replied to maroonandwhite's topic in General Chat
Accu-Tint in Goodletsville is top notch. They handle all my tinting needs. They do excellent work! -
It was a fast car. I loved that Yamaha engine it had. It felt like a turbo boost kicked in at about 4000 rpm. Unfortunately, all the Ford stuff connected to it was pure junk.

I used a K&N filter back about 12 years ago on my Taurus SHO. I did not notice any difference in performance or gas mileage. Thought it was a waste of money. Of course, my SHO was such a piece of ****, that it spent more time on the side of the road and in the shop, so maybe I never got see any benefit from the filter.

Yep. It is still unfortunate that Obama had to fight these baseless claims from the birther movement. Everybody else would have to have had credible evidence against them, but I guess when it comes to Obama, he was guilty until he proved himself innocent. Truly sad. Hopefully this will satisfy these "birther" idiots, and we can get on with the real problems facing the US.

Personally, I would never use my debit card for an online purchase. I always use a credit card. I usually just use my debit for the ATM and some local purchases like Wally World or Walgreens. With a credit card, you can catch the fraud before you pay. With a debit card, your money is already gone out of your bank account, and you have to jump through the hoops to get it put back. No-brainer IMHO. Although, I have been buying stuff online for 15 years, and I have had only one fraudulent charge. A couple of years ago, my Mastercard was charged $80 at an Old Navy store on Long Island, NY. It was handled fairly quickly with the CC company.

Does the form 1 include barrel length?
Reservoir Dog replied to a topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
Personally, I think you will be alright as long as you have at least one registered SBR lower to use with your short-barreled uppers. I gave my warning above so as not to give the ATF any excuse they may need to mess with you. Someone else may have a different opinion. -
Does the form 1 include barrel length?
Reservoir Dog replied to a topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
Yes, the Form 1 must specify the barrel length for the SBR. Just use the barrel length of the SBR upper you will be using the most. You can have multiple uppers for the SBR lower, and swap them back and forth when you want. If you are going to make a permanent change to the barrel length of your SBR, you should notify the ATF NFA Branch in writing of the new barrel length. You can possess multiple short-barreled uppers, as long as you have a legal use for them (i.e. a registered SBR lower); however, to play it safe, I would have a regular upper installed on all of your other non-SBR firearms. If you had just a regular lower lying around, you don't want the ATF saying one of those short-barreled uppers was for that. I hope that all made sense.
