Has anyone ever found a Black Widow spider in their mailbox?
Reservoir Dog replied to Will Carry's topic in General Chat
Never found one in my mailbox, but if I did.............I would never get the mail again! As I have said before: ALL SPIDERS MUST DIE!! -
What are the most annoying commercial on radio and tv
Reservoir Dog replied to runningfree's topic in General Chat
-All of the Carnival Kia ads (That guy hasn't bought a new belt since the 1980s) -Bart Durham ads (ALL of them! They are horribly annoying) My all time favorite annoying ad: Fleming Fine Furniture commercials in Memphis (late 1980s). His screeching little kids were the most annoying EVER! -
Thanks! Been carrying it for a couple of days now, and I really like it. Very light and concealable. I'll probably switch back to my Glock once the weather get cooler, but looks like the PM9 will be my EDC for the remainder of summer.

My ISP is AT&T DSL, and everything seems to be working fine for the most part. No errors or timeouts. However, page load times seem a bit longer since the move. Clicking on a link, I get the "rotating ring" in Windows 7 for several seconds, then the page will come up. The page loads quickly at that point, but the delay between clicking on it and the page load seems to be running longer than before. I hope that made sense.

My trusty Glock 19 has been my everyday carry for a few years now. However, lately I have been wanting something a little smaller and lighter for carry in the summer. Something that won't weight my shorts down. I purchased a Ruger LCP a couple of years ago as a back-up, but I just can't warm up to carrying a .380 as my main defense gun. So, I have really been looking for a good 9mm for summer carry. I had been considering the Kahr PM9 for a few months, as the size and weight were just what I was looking for. I wanted to wait until the Ruger LC9 was out to take a look at that, however, after seeing and handling one, I decided that I did not like it. So, last week, I was at my local fun shop and decided to take the plunge when I got a good deal on a Kahr PM9 with the diamond black finish. I took it up to Guns & Leather (Hendersonville) today to check reliability and put it through the paces. I had bought six different 9mm loads, including my favorite carry round. I fired the following rounds out of the pistol: Federal American Eagle 124gr FMJ Magtech 115gr FMJ PMC 115gr FMJ PRVI Partizan 115gr FMJ Geco 124gr FMJ Speer Gold Dot 124gr+P SBHP Total of 290 rounds of various 9mm. Results: The PM9 performed flawlessly. 290 rounds without a single hiccup. The Federal, PRVI, and Geco ammo shot very nice groups at 21ft. The Magtech and PMC ammo were not as good, but still performed adequately. Recoil with the FMJ rounds was quite light, much less than I had anticipated. Recoil with the +P Gold Dots was brisk, but very controllable. Overall, I am very pleased with my new acquisition (which is my first Kahr). Now its off to clean it up and start carrying it tomorrow. Below is a target after firing 50rds of PRVI Partizan 115gr FMJ. This was a mixture of controlled fire, double taps, and rapid fire at 21ft. The Federal and Geco FMJ ammo shot even tighter groups.

Made it! Page load times are running slow for me. Several seconds to load a page. -
Another +1 to JayC's post. I have no problem with someone posting their store. It is their property, and they can run it as they see fit. If I see a no-carry sign, I have the option to go somewhere else, and give my business (and my money) to them. As stated before, the US Constitution is a limitation on government, not private individuals. Anyone saying that posting by private property owners violates the 2nd Amendment, is someone who does not understand what the Constitution is about. It is really sad to hear gun owners saying out rights should not be violated, but in the same breath state that private property owner rights should be taken away. Truly sad.

Davidson County Elections
Reservoir Dog replied to GuardianDevil001's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I know how you feel. I sent an email to my state senator (Jack Johnson) about an issue. I received no response, but then started getting his email updates. You gotta love politicians! -
I am about the same. I can put a complete lower together in about 30 minutes.

I am very sad to hear this. All my hopes for a speedy recovery.

The selling FFL will need a government document showing your current address. Like Fallguy said, hopefully you printed off a copy of the your address change from the TN website, that will suffice. Also, vehicle and voter registrations will also work to show your current address. Personally, I would just get a duplicate DL issued: it's cheap and will show your updated address. The TICS check does not verify the address information. The requirement to have something with your current address comes from the ATF/Feds, so that info on the 4473 is verified. Case in point: A friend of mine who works a gun store had two customers, both buying a Glock 19 at the same time. As he was entering the info into TICS, he accidentally entered one guy in with his correct name, but with the other guy's information (address, SSN, DOB, DL#). TICS approved the transfer. Once he saw what happened, he notified TICS and re-ran the guy with the correct info. The TICS personnel told him that the system assumes that the info entered is correct and performs the checks based on that.

Yeah, a good lawyer could make a deal out of it. In a civil trial, they will bring up anything and everything to try to put you in a bad light. Will it matter? Who knows. Personally, I think that was bad advice from the guys at G&A. Go through the course with the handgun you intend to carry.

I hope that Microsoft guy will adapt that laser to kill spiders. ALL SPIDERS MUST DIE!!!!!

"Rebuilt title" vehicles are ones that have been totaled, sold as salvage, and then rebuilt back to operating condition. It looks like salvaged vehicle can be on the roads in TN, once a rebuilt title has been issued. From the TN website: Salvage and Non-repairable Vehicles

A lot of insects are attracted to the carbon dioxide we exhale, that is usually why they are buzzing around our head.

where to buy 6.5 carcano ammo????
Reservoir Dog replied to a topic in Curio, Relics and Black Powder
The Outpost Armory has had 6.5 Carcano in the past (Hornady, I think). Give them a call. -
Yep. SWAT Magazine actually did a write up of this in their recent issue. They said it was counter-intuitive to use (not moving your trigger finger, and pushing the gun forward with the support hand), and they saw no real practical use for it. However, they stated it was fun to use, and a few of their staff actually ordered some for themselves.

Sorry for your loss.

I saw a Raspberry LCP at the Outpost Armory today.

I fondled one at the Outpost Armory the other day. Much, much nicer than the Judge.

Saw this last night on the news. Truly sad. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and coworkers.
