  1. They are manually cycling their rifles after each shot, so I would say they are probably shooting blanks. ETA: Beat again!
  2. I had mine taken out earlier this year. The operation was nothing. They knocked me out (don't know what they gave me, but I was out in about 10 seconds), and when I woke up, it was all over. Only minor pain after the numbness wore off. You will need to take precautions in the 3 to 4 days after the surgery, so as not to dislodge the blood clots that form in the empty tooth sockets. Those are the key to proper healing. If you dislodge them, you could develop a "dry socket" and that can be quite painful, and require follow-up visits to the oral surgeon. He should give you some guidelines about care for those days.
  3. Looks like a hang fire.
  4. Same here. Page loads are taking 30 seconds to a minute. TGO always slows down a lot during this time period.
  5. 644
  6. Never had a straight razor shave. I would like to get one, but I will leave that to the professionals. If I tried myself, I'm sure I would hack off a piece of my chin, or slice off an earlobe. No thanks. I will stick with my Gillette Fusion Pro Glide.
  7. When buying a firearm, you will need some type of government document (DL, HCP, car registration, voter registration, etc..) showing your current address. Without something showing the address you put on the 4473, you will not be sold a firearm. The easiest thing to do is: go back online to the TN website. Do a change of address again to your new address. Print off a copy of the confirmation page, and carry it with you in your wallet. That page will suffice as proof of your new address.
  8. No kidding!
  9. Meh. Non issue. A quick Google search shows pictures of Ford and George W. Bush with their feet on the desk. I am sure I could find more if I spent the time looking for them. Bigger issues to worry about here than feet on the desk.
  10. It does. If you have no plans to buy more, then a trust is useless. I was referring to the general benefits of a trust over individual ownership. For someone who is looking to do multiple NFA items, a trust is easier in the long run, and far more beneficial.
  11. Care to elaborate? Why? Other than the upfront cost of putting it together, I see no downside to a trust.
  12. Okay. Take away the ad load issue. TGO was still horribly slow last night for a while. It was the only site I experienced problems with. Every other site I visited loaded quickly, with no delays. So, something was going on here.
  13. TGO was loading horribly slow last night around 9:30 or so. It had cleared up by around 11PM. I run Ad Block Plus, so I never load the ads. Other sites were loading just fine, so it was probably a server issue.
  14. Three girls or three big guys makes no difference to me. They invade my home, attack me and put my life in danger, they will get the exact same response from me.
  15. Transfer tax - Yes Form 4 - Yes Photos - No Fingerprints - No CLEO signoff - No
  16. I like the concept of the new Surefire mag, but at their MSRP of $129, I will definitely have to pass. At that price, I can buy 8 PMAGs that hold a total of 240 rounds. I wouldn't even buy one at dealer cost, which is still too much money for what you get.
  17. So sorry for your loss.
  18. Some of my favorites: - Guy comes into the gun store wanting to buy the older style (white box w/red & orange stripes) Winchester Silvertip ammo. He wanted them because they were made of real silver. No amount of arguing could convince him otherwise. He left quite angry. - Guy becomes quite agitated and argumentative because the some of the firearms in the display cases were pointed out towards the customers. After a minute of arguing, he finally said that maybe he should just leave the store. The salesman agreed with him. - Guy comes in wanting to sell his registered SBR AR-15 as a pistol, because it was "too much trouble" to sell it as a SBR.:-\
  19. I had the same problem with my LCP, carrying it in my front pocket in an Aholster pocket holster. It happened several times. I just got into the habit of occasionally reaching down, on the outside of my pants, and making sure the mag was seated.
  20. RIP mousegunner
  21. Yes. The ATF can come out and look over your bound book, and make sure you have all the firearms listed in your book. However, from what I have heard, they will contact you and work out an appointment to come out and inspect your paperwork. All of the stories I have heard, the ATF has been quite friendly about the whole process. I have had a C&R for the past three years (just renewed it), and have never had an inspection. Do the benefits outweigh the hassles? Yes. Dealer pricing at Midway and Brownell's alone is worth the cost of license.
  22. The next scheduled Armorer's course in west TN is in Memphis in March 2012. However, Glock adds training courses to their schedule all the time. Periodically check their training site for new classes ==> GLOCK Training
  23. I am still trying to figure out why, when I click on Photobucket on my laptop, it takes me the Mobile Photobucket website. This started a few days ago. Anyone else having this problem? EDIT: Nevermind. Found out it was only happening with my Firefox browser. Cleared the cache and the Photobucket cookie, and now everything is normal.
  24. I am running Firefox 6.0 and Windows 7. No problems here.
  25. National level : definitely the NRA. Also, the Second Amendment Foundation. State level: TFA
