Lowe's cuts out all commission sales
Reservoir Dog replied to jtmaze's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Lowe's employees worked on commission? Wow. Usually, i can never find anyone to help me when I am in there. If someone does help me, the cashiers never ask who it was, so............how do they determine the commission? -
Thoughts on private sale background checks
Reservoir Dog replied to Dolomite_supafly's topic in General Chat
It's not free money for them. Dealers have to log the gun into their books, then log it out. It also takes their time calling TICS or entering the stuff on the TICS website, and reviewing the 4473. So, they spend a little manpower time doing transfers. Most dealers I have dealt with are fine with doing transfers, but I have seen a few that don't like them. When you charge $75 or $100 for transfers (both of which I have seen), it is quite obvious that they do not want to do them. It probably is that they are losing a sale, because they are doing all the same stuff they do for an "in stock" gun, but they are not making anywhere near the profit. -

kwikrnu, again, but he may be making the news again...
Reservoir Dog replied to a topic in General Chat
Well the ATF was involved in Kwik's stunt at Radnor Lake, so I hope that the investigations and inspections side talk to each other. I am pretty sure they are aware of his previous activities. The guy is unstable to say the least, so hopefully, ATF will deny his application. -
Since I have no more takers, I am going to shut this down a couple of days early so I can get everything in the mail today. Thanks to all that replied!

No big deal. Forms go missing all the time. Just write to the NFA Branch telling them you have lost your original Form 4 (include the serial number and description of the NFA item), and request a new Form 4. They will send you a certified copy of the Form 4 they have on file.

TGO's continued evolution: Help me test out NEW forum software!
Reservoir Dog replied to TGO David's topic in General Chat
Looks and works fine for me. I have really gotten use to VB software, but the IPB seems really good. Couple of comments: 1. I wish there was a little more delineation of quoted text in posts, or some kind of shading (like the VB software), to help distinguish quoted text in someone's reply. 2. Will there be a system similar to iTrader on the new board? If so, will our feedback data migrate over? -
Final bump. Couple of slots still available. If anyone is interested, I will need your stuff by January 11 or 12.

That show is horribly unwatchable. I tried to watch a few times, but I just could not take it. Stupid builds, rigged explosions, and fake drama. No thanks.

Bump. 3 slots still available. Thanks, guys!

No problem.

I got it. Sent you a reply.

I did this last year and signed up a few TGO members, so I thought I would give it a try again. I have received another NRA offer to sign up friends for a NRA Lifetime Membership at the very reduced rate of $300. Normally, this would cost you $1000, so it is quite a good deal. If you are interested, you will need to send me your information, along with a check or money order (payable to NRA) for $300. Once I get everybody's stuff, I will send the form off to the NRA. The form has spaces for six(6) people, so I will limit this to the first six people that reply. **Deadline for getting me your info/money is January 12, 2012.** If I have any takers, I will mail off the form on January 13, 2012. If you are interested, reply or send me a PM, and I will get back with you regarding what info is needed. *** CLOSED ***

FEMA Document (Pulled!) on the Coming Lockdown
Reservoir Dog replied to mcurrier's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Oh, I love the X-Files. Great show, and highly entertaining. If you are into the FEMA conspiracy stuff, then I suggest you watch it, as well. It will be the closest you ever get to all that crap. Now, off to watch the movie! -
FEMA Document (Pulled!) on the Coming Lockdown
Reservoir Dog replied to mcurrier's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Okay. That really doesn't tell me anything. I wanted specifics regarding these "events" that you speak of. As someone who just called the US a "new modern era Nazi Germany," I thought you may have some ground breaking information that has somehow escaped everyone else. But I see now that it is not the case. Then again, I guess it is hard to prove something that does not exist. -
FEMA Document (Pulled!) on the Coming Lockdown
Reservoir Dog replied to mcurrier's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
No, its all tinfoil stuff. But in the spirit of fairness: Exactly what are these "events of the last few years" that you refer to. Please elaborate on them. Note: if all you can reference is stuff from Alex Jones or World Nut Daily or some other far-right conspiracy/truther/nutjob website, then don't waste your time. -

All this FEMA tinfoil stuff makes me want to watch the X-Files movie again. -
Almost 4 years for a thread resurrection! That's got to be a record.

Is this a search and is it legal?
Reservoir Dog replied to chances R's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Nothing wrong with what the officer did. If he knows there is a weapon present, he can secure it for his safety (or the safety of others). It doesn't matter if you have an HCP or not. Unless something else is wrong, you will get your weapon back at the end of the traffic stop or contact. -
I would give a rather vague statement of what happened to let the police know that I was the victim and that the shot/dead guy was the bad guy. Otherwise, all the police know is that they have one shot/dead guy, and that you shot him. If you clam up at the scene and don't tell them anything, then things may not end up the way you would like. After my vague statement, I would then request to speak with an attorney before giving a more detailed statement.
