  1.   Hey, when you work 13 hour shifts like I do on a computer, you find stuff that'll soak up some time, lol.
  2.   That has to do with metalurgy(I think), the more carbon it has the longer it will hold an edge BUT the harder it is to sharpen, a double edged sword, so to speak. ;)
  3. Amen to that... :yuck:
  4. Cheers to you sir! May your luck never run out! ;)
  5. Blackened Voodoo, tried on a trip to New Orleans at the Old Coffee Pot Restaurant off of Bourbon, must say that it's one of the best beers I've had and that's coming from someone who regularly enjoys Samuel Smiths!
  6. Also, TrickyNicky, thank you. The quote to your picture cracked me up more than the actual picture, it's got me crying I'm laughing so hard, though not sure if the tears are from laughter or the pic...
  7.   As Christopher Titus said in his 'Love is Evol' standup... "GOUGE YOUR EYES OUT, GOUGE YOUR EYES OUT, GOUGE YOUR EYES OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!"
  8. Thanks a bunch SDFD, it's fellers like you that chime in that motivate me to pick it back up. Also bear with me if I use an incorrect term, I try to use the available interwebs as best as I can so that I use proper terminology and what not. Some of the ideas come to me on the fly so if any of you see any errors please feel free to let me know so that I may correct them.
  9. Now this is unrelated to the OPs question and as the way most threads go around here... :hijack:   My question is this; Is there a bullet diameter difference between .22LR and .22WMR? I know that the case is wider on the mag but is the bullet different? A customer at the shop was talking about how he had a Heritage Rough Rider with the interchangeble cylinders and said that one shot fine while the other shot horribly. The only thing I could think of is that the rifling out of the shorter barrel maybe had something to do with it.   *edit, found my answer on Wikipedia, according to that .22LR is .223 and .22WMR is .224 but this is from Wikipedia. Any intel you guys can share?
  10. Gotcha, so pre sixties stuff, back when stuff was made worth a damn unlike most today.
  11.   Just until I can afford my PF-9 from my second job. A PF-9 at 10% over cost? Please and thank you... ;)
  12.   What cracks me up is that you'll have 200% of the cost of the gun in the tax stamp alone, hahaha!
  13.   How old we talking?
  14. Next time we do a meet and greet I'll have to bring along some old kitchen knifes that you can supervise me on modifying, heh heh.
  15. Those things are awesome because it's the only revolver(as far as I'm aware of) that you can suppress!
  16. I decided to start carrying my grandfathers old pocket gun. It's a Hopkins and Allen .32S&W, he carried this when he worked in DC under Eisenhower(I think that's which president it was).
  17. Aren't they based off the Steyr M pistols? Figured that it'd be hard to screw up a copy... *looks at Taurus 1911*  well, ya know what I mean..... :p
  18. Please bear with me but what would the process be unclejak? Heat, cut, quench? What are you cutting with? And are you quenching with oil?
  19. I actually want one of the newer styles like in the OPs photo with the Kydex-ish sheath, I LOVE that look.
  20. What, a gun from the middle east is garbage??? Huh... ;)  The last good gun to be made out of the middle east was made in Egypt, the Maadi's are a solid weapon!
  21. I've ALWAYS wanted a Ka-Bar since one of my sisters friends(who's a Marine) showed me his when I was a kid and have been enamoured by them ever since.
  22. He does like to rant... BUT he's thorough, to a fault but better than not at all I say.
  23. Really just looking for something light weight to boil water in...
