Good luck finding a FAMAS as they were imported in very limited quantities. Instead, go for a Styer AUG A3, a FNH FS2000, or a IWI Tavor.

$800-900 will get you into a PTR91, CETME is only worth it for under $500 imho.

And the handguards don't look like those goofy things that came on the last generation.

  LMAO, I COMPLETELY missed that, hahaha. Well at 800 yards a bolt gun is going to be much more accurate at those distances. I would go by his idea and swap it out. The ammo weight .308 is ALOT to heft around. You're built for it Spots, they may not be. Besides, at least then you have parts and ammo commonality in their preps for it. Nothing wrong with a DMR BUT it's more meant for those intermediate ranges where a 5.56 is ineffective and you can get off quick follow up shots but beyond 800 yards is where a bolt gun is going to shine, not to mention, it's going to be ALOT lighter than a DMR. I want a .308 PDW like a PTR91 pistol myself so when the Schumer hits the fan, I can have a PDW ready. ^_^

Well, consider this; an SPS in .308 is going to sit around the 699-799 mark pending where you get it. Scope, rings, and base will run you a little higher if you get better quality than bottom barrel. For a good SPS setup, you're looking at $900-1200. So your AR-10 can probably fetch you what that goes for but that'll depend on its brand. What is the brand, model, and sub-model of your AR-10? Here in Putnam County, I went over to a buds and we just go out back to blast some rounds. A sheriff's deputy showed up one time when I wasn't there, they had apparently gotten calls about "full auto" fire. It was my brosef mag dumping a MAK90, lmao. The deputy checked out the rifles, saw that the MAK wasn't "full auto" watched them blast a few more rounds and left. I'm sure the closer you get to a metropolitan area, the more nervous and anti-gun people will become so it will vary from county to county.

But the American people are ready to get back to strengthening their rights to keep and bear arms. On Monday, Sen. John Cornyn introduced the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act, which is the first pro-gun legislation leveled since the showdown over Mr. Obama’s gun control votes last April. “It strikes me that, at a time we’re talking about the role of guns in society, we should acknowledge that it is a constitutional right,” the Texas Republican told me in an interview Wednesday. “Law-abiding people buy and use guns for legitimate purposes, protecting themselves and their families.” He added that the iron is hot since Illinois became the 50th state to allow for concealed carry, after being forced by the federal courts in 2013 to rewrite its laws. Anti-gun activists have attempted to make Mr. Cornyn’s bill seem extremist. “There’s some scaremongering going on out there, but it’s pretty straightforward,” he said. “It’s like a driver’s license. It doesn’t trump state laws. Say you have a carry permit in Texas; then you use it in another state that has a concealed-carry law.” This popular, common-sense legislation is necessary because the current system is totally convoluted. Each state decides which permits from other states it recognizes as lawful, and some recognize none. Gun owners are stuck doing extensive legal research to travel, but they can still get caught in the thicket. Mr. Cornyn said, “There are some jurisdictions like to play ‘gotcha.’” That is exactly what just happened over New Year’s when Maryland police held a Florida man at a traffic stop for three hours to search his car because records showed he had a carry permit. John Filippidis didn’t even bring his gun when he drove his wife to a family wedding in New Jersey. But Mr. Filippidis told The Tampa Bay Tribune that he was treated “like a criminal” in anti-gun Maryland for having a gun permit, and he wasn’t even cited for a traffic violation. Mr. Cornyn is a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, which is the first hurdle to a floor vote. Which generation of Glock did you pick up? Depending on how old it is by the serial number, I might order a new recoil spring assy from Glock, just to be safe. That's one thing I recommend for any used pistol as you don't know what you're getting unless you personally know the seller.

They're reliable so long as they're well oiled, if not then it becomes a Jam-o-Matic. They are also RIDICULOUSLY heavy by today's standards.

The bolt on that middle plinker looks like either a Savage or Marlin action with me leaning towards Savage. The others have been identified, I couldn't tell you a thing about the glimpse of that top one with the exception of that it's rimfire, lol.
