  1. Seems to me like any tall structure would be a deathtrap as a means of escape. If swarmed with say a horde, there's real no way to get away short of fighting your way out or disabling someone in the MAG to leave them for fodder, either way is a VERY bad idea. Only go higher if you have a plan for a way out, otherwise you're just signing your own death warrant. However as a form of recon it's an excellent idea and seems though the area as a whole in general is not a bad idea. You would also wanna be as far away from any population centers as possible. Though you post someone up in that tower with a suppressed marksman rifle and some form of alert system to those below(radio, bell, what have you) and you'd have a pretty good setup imho.
  2. Welcome cousin.
  3. Welcome to TGO cousin. As far as your question is concerned, I'd look into USPSA or IDPA, LOTS of that floating around here. Not so much on GSSF that I'm aware of.
  4. Welcome from the north cousin.

At the risk of starting a philosophical discussion on fate; there is no such thing as fate, ONLY the paths we make for ourselves. Take that as you will.
  6. That's why I carry my flashlight apart of my EDC.
  7. Might wanna see if this one falls under the recall.
  8. Actually, yes. Some old family friends of ours were breeders for a long time. I'll get in touch and see if I can get any intel on it. It's the Putnam County area fyi.

    Walther PPK

Bersa .380 isn't exactly like a PPK but it looks like one. :P
  14. It's the gov't, even the glass clear cases are murky.

    Walther PPK

FBI ballistics show that it has a 71% chance to neutralize a threat in one shot to the center of mass. 9mm has an 88% chance to do so. At least that is what a local LEO told me.

    Starter .308?

You could get one of those pistol "braces", then you can take it where ever you go as it is a pistol and falls under your carry permit and not a SBR. ;) *NOTE*- Do NOT run a vertical foregrip on a pistol, such as in this picture, as that will classify it as a SBR. You CAN however use something like a Magpul AFG or the KAC hand stop mounts.
  18. Agreed 110%   Because people, like my manager at work, don't care about that and will order from whomever they can get the best deal from and really don't have any morals about whom they order from. I'll admit, they have LWRC M6A2's for the lowest I've EVER seen em for but again, fool me once...
  19. Meh, it was my first handgun, and while I have nothing against them as my time with it showed it to be reliable for the money, I also know that they are boat anchors and the BIGGEST pain to strip down BUT if you're on a budget and absolutely need to get a pistol, this is a viable option. I just talk smack about them as I've had one. ;)
  20. The one thing I don't like about it is that it causes premature barrel wear as they are bi-metal steel jackets. Granted I think it's like 1.5-1.7% wear but still.
  21. Meh, I'd only be worried if I had a Loricin or Jennings but then, I'd never own one of those and if I did, I'd pay someone to take it, heh heh.
  22. Which one was that? Cookeville or Algood?
