TN Firearms Freedoms Act
whitewolf001 replied to whitewolf001's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
4-54-107. (a) The general assembly declares that any federal action prohibited by this chapter relating to firearms, firearms accessories or ammunition, whether made in Tennessee or not, is not authorized by the United States constitution and violates the restrictions contained therein and is hereby declared to be invalid in this state; that said federal action shall not be recognized by this state; and that said federal action is rejected by this state and shall be null and void and of no effect in this state. (b) Any federal action shall be deemed an intentional violation of state sovereignty and shall be unenforceable within the borders of Tennessee if the federal action does or attempts to: (1) Infringe on, ban, regulate, or restrict state government, local government or civilian ownership, transfer, possession or manufacture of a firearm, a firearm accessory or ammunition in this state; (2) Require any state government, local government or civilian owned firearm, firearm accessory, or ammunition in this state to be registered or tracked in any manner; or (3) Impose federal taxes, fees or any other charges on any state government, local government or civilian owned firearm, firearm accessory, or ammunition that are payable to any government entity. (c) No public official, employee, or agent of this state or any of its political subdivisions shall: (1) Act to impose, collect, enforce, or effectuate any penalty in this state that violates the public policy set forth in this section; or (2) Cooperate with or assist with the enforcement of federal action prohibited by this chapter. SECTION 6. Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 4, Chapter 54, is amended by adding the following language as a new section: 4-54-108. He listened to Biden more than likely... -
Can someone please explain to me the true meaning behind this law. While I understand the wording it IS slightly confusing, in my understanding it seems for instance; does this trump NFA or Federal laws pertaining class 3 or NFA items so long as they're made here? I apologize for my incompetence but sometimes getting a third party perspective is the best way to comprehend a law.

Hell, the Bimmer is as expensive as my Harley man, the equivalent Ducati(1199) is $3,000 more at $18,999 versus $15,999, which is a price point on par with the Japanese liter bikes.

Wise words from a young female security guard in New Orleans that I overheard when talking to a bum, "Wisdom comes from maturity, not age." Such simplicity yet elegant enough words that I didn't expect it from this younger woman thus reinforcing her statement. I too have taken a notice of the poor attitude that this generation has as a whole and it's progressively getting worse with every passing generation unfortunately.

Neat. :D

I hope some justice is dealt to this schmuck, it would seem that these days the sentences get lighter and lighter for the career criminals. -
New evidence suggests officers at fault, not suspect.

Exactly, hence my point. Thank you DM, it would seem you understand my reasoning for posting this at least. I like to see justice served, regardless of what side of the law you are on. -

I'm not trolling nor baiting, merely providing the same information of stories that can be found in similar posts in this area. If you feel that it is baiting then that is merely your own opinion to which you are entitled but was not my intentions. Were this the other way around I'm sure most wouldn't have posted or if they had, most would have congratulated the officers on their victory in justice but when it's turned around it would seem I'm baiting? Kind of a double standard... -
Man, haven't you ever seen the Beverly Hill Billy's? ;)

I will normally jump in to defend the name of officers of the law from LEO bashers as I know a couple and they already have a hard enough job as it is but it's guys like this that give those bashers ammunition, so to speak, to do so. Still though I want to know what the heck instigated the officers to react in such a way, were they high on something or is this level of asshattery their norm? http://www.guns.com/2014/02/24/dashcam-footage-clears-man-charges-indicts-officers-instead-video/ Recently released dashcam footage has helped clear a New Jersey man of criminal charges and has indicted the arresting officers. Bloomfield resident Marcus Jeter, 30, was previously facing a 5-year sentence for evading police, resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer. But after the dashcam video of Jeter’s arrest was released, his charges were dropped and the officers faced indictment, ABC reports. During Jeter’s trial, the dashcam video of was withheld and without that piece of evidence, the Bloomfield police officer’s testimony trumped Jeter’s. Though the officers testified Jeter was combative and resisted arrest, the video clearly shows it was the other way around. Jeter quickly pulled over as soon as he was lit up, held his hands in the air, and was not aggressive towards police. But the officers smashed his window, repeatedly struck him, and drug him out of the car. The officers involved were charged with falsifying reports, and one of them was charged with assault. However, after reviewing the evidence, the Bloomfield police department found no fault with the officers’ actions.

Been a long time comin, approx 89 million gun owners in the US and Piers has repeatedly pissed off EVERY single one em, this one included.

Interesting but more than likely have to have someone custom make it. Seems you'd also need to customize the grips to fit as well but it LOOKS more ergo friendly to me than a conventional one.
