1. The mags I'm not super worried about, got a good deal from Midway(I know, hard to believe that good deal and Midway could be used in the same sentence).   Well I got the front sight on er, it took some... coercion. Needless to say, my new front sight has some brass markings on it but then, you wouldn't even notice that compared to the marring on the finish the last douchenozzle left on er.
2. What're y'alls specs on your lightweights? I'm curious just so that I may have some reference material.
3. As I said in the title, I have in the works, plans for a light weight AR build. I have a Mag Tactical lower receiver just hanging out at the house that needs to be put together. I WAS going to couple it with a Faxon ARAK-21 upper assembly but decided against that as I want to do that on a SanTan lower later on. ANYWAYS, I plan on purchasing this all here soon, this is my current layout idea(s). Any critiques or opinions you guys could give or may have would be awesome to hear.   Lower: Mag Tactical magnesium/alum lower, a2 grip, Timney trigger, Magpul BAD, Mission First Tac Battlelink Minimalist stock(Currently has Magpul ACS stock that will be delegated to the future ARAK build), Daniel Defense alum sling loop, Troy ambi mag release, standard USGI parts the rest of the way through.   Upper: Mag Tactical magnesium/alum upper, Young Manufacturing Super Light chrome BCG, BCM KMR 13 magnesium/alum keymod rails, BCM CHF 16" lightweight-fluted barrel, Spike's Dynacomp or Battle Comp 1.0 pending on how frisky I feel, BCM/VLTOR CH mod.A44(ambi latch) or possible Rainier Arms Raptor, Troy Sights(DOA-rear, HK-front, also, I know I could go lighter with the sights but I LOVE Troy's. :P ), AimPoint compM2.
4.
Bacon! It started out on the second shelf of the smoker but was moved to the top shelf so it could drip it's magical juices on the rest of the chicken, pork, rabbit, and hot dogs. Great Easter dinner
It would appear that the like function is broken as I can only like this once, odd..... Sent from the future using a flux capacitor.
5. And I totally didn't buy seven of them last Thursday either...
6. Just took er out for a function test yesterday while visiting with the family. Chewed through the Wolf Gold like it was a fat kid and M&M's. I had trouble with one of the two mags I had, it was a non-standard Ruger mag. Feed lips were bent to the point they were physically stopping the bolt from going forward. So I used some precision skills and mashed the feed lips onto the metal table top which fixed that one issue, well aside from not having a front sight anyways. Slow fired the first fifteen rounds, then popped em off as fast as I could to try and simulate any failures but no issues came up. I must say that light trigger was nice compared to most AR's I've fired, had to be around the five pound margin and may have even had some trigger work done unless you other Mini fellers can attest to the triggers being that light?
7. Thanks for the advice gents.
8. I'm unfamiliar with those terms, care to elaborate? Sent from the future using a flux capacitor.
9. Chest rigs, plate carriers, drop leg systems, etc.. I plan on attending tactical carbine and engagement courses such as those offered through Gunsite, Tactical Response, Suarez, etc. and wanted to get input on this gear and see if it was meant more for Paintball or if it could actually take some abuse as I also want to employ it into my bug out gear.
10. Can anyone tell me if they're worth a flip or to pass em? I've handled em and they seem solid but am curious at their long-term or hard usage reliability, such as stitching quality, etc..
11.
?? It's about their muzzle brake being classified as a suppressor, not SBR/SBS. - OS
That was poor wording on my part, really meant NFA in general, not sure where my mind was there. :p Sent from the future using a flux capacitor.
12. I'm not holding my breath and it almost pains me knowing that OUR tax dollars will be funding the BATFE's legal defense should it make it that far BUT if SIG can even bring up the possibility of reversing SBR/SBS rulings, that's a step in the right direction, with MANY more to follow but you've gotta crawl before you can walk and you've gotta walk before you can run. Let's see where this heads...
13. Also, AIM got in Eastern surplus mags AND Yugo BHO mags; $10.95ea and $13.95ea respectively. I no has monies but thought I'd share.   http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=MAK47E30&name=Surplus+European+Steel+AK47+7.62x39+30rd+Magazines&groupid=6   http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=MAK47Y30&name=Surplus+Yugoslavian+Steel+AK47+7.62x39+30rd+Magazines&groupid=6
14. What did you get?
15. Moist shady areas most ESPECIALLY after a fresh rain. Look near fallen logs or dead fauna, be sure to tread lightly and slowly and keep yer peepers open, I've almost accidentally stepped on them before.
16. As much as I wish I could say that was MY find, that is a stock google image that I was referencing to what they looked like... BUT this isn't...
17. Fry em up as a side to steak too, then it's like two entrees! :D
18. Well they DID have to pay someone to sit there and make it out.
19. This IS Century after all.... I bought mags from them about 3 years ago, went about four booths down and got better mags for $3 cheaper each. I think they try to rape because of their "established" name.
20. And here I thought someone was talking about 'Masters of the Universe' with Dolph Lundgren was going to be on TV or something, my inner nerd and 80's kid were excited... oh well, back to work and not doing anything.  :waiting:
21. I'm having my bud from the shop text me the serial number right now, gonna see if mine is on "the list".   **EDIT**-Yep, mine qualifies... poop.
22. There you go.
23. No arguments found here. :p
24. Midway has always been notorious for raping on the shipping. It's why I love dealing with AIM, if it's something that SHOULDN'T have shipping on it, they're generally not going to charge you, generally...
