I know there are some parts commonality between the 15 and 10 but what about stock systems?

I used that discount to purchase some OEM parts I needed to complete my 870 project. I accidentally ordered the newer style forarm tube for mine so I had to grind off a nipple where the arms sit under the BCG. I tested my 700 and she runs like a top now. They even fixed some issues I didn't mention over the phone(mag spring issue, would only retain two rounds, third would just eject itself) so that was pretty awesome!
No irons? You should be ashamed. Every rifle needs iron sights. (Nice build otherwise)
The rear optic interfered with the only BUIS I had any money left for(you have to build it with a budget) and I ran out of rail estate so just went with a pure optic system. Being a guy whom likes fail safes you have NO idea how much that bugged me without BUIS... :(
Yeah, thats why I went in and decided to fork over the funds for a PTR. No issues with stocks or anything. Feed everything every time so far.
He also has $325 in his, so there was a trade off...

Ah, well that's comforting. I had a WASR that had a canted sight that was out of spec by smidge, which by I mean "HOLY @#$%!!! YOUR SIGHT CAME LIKE THAT????" Also, pops has a CETME that needed a lot of TLC. The receiver itself was canted to one side causing some cycling issues. He took a mic to it and straightened it out over a months time whilst modifying it slightly to accept a surplus HK collapsible stock.

Lmao, it's funny you say that. My most recent build is named Bessie because when the sling swivel hits the quad rail, it sounds like a cow bell... :P

For a Century? Has their quality ACTUALLY improved or is it still the same crap I remember fixing?

If this is against community rules, by all means admins feel free to kill this thread. Go on over to the Gunstruction page and give my rifle a like. If I win it I'll throw on a full review of it in a thread. Or if you want design you're own and let the friendly competition begin!!! Thanks all! :D http://www.gunstruction.net/gallery-image/?id=3758

I appreciate all the sentiments. His family deserves it far more than I, he left behind a three year old daughter, four week old son, and a loving wife whom has not yet still to come to grips with his passing and probably won't for some time. He actually had a pretty healthy collection of mags. I think mostly what he needed was ammo but I can take care of that for the most part. Thank you gents for stepping up to assist me, that's very kind of you and I appreciate it. I'm thinking that I'll more than likely equip it with my used Aimpoint Comp M2 that I have, it's not new by any means but I know that it works and that it'd be a great optic for that weapon.

The rifle posted below was a build on the verge of completion that belonged to a dear friend of mine whom was only 22 and was killed recently in a motorcycle accident. I was going to make an offer to his wife for the rifle because I would keep it as a last piece of him and because she had no real interest in firearms. She actually asked if I would finish it for their 4 week old son to have when he came of age. I was shocked and was already a bit in tears so when she asked me this I looked one of those gals whom just got done watching the Notebook and was sobbing. Well this is it in its final form ready to be passed on from the father to the son. He always was a cheapskate so I upgraded what would be Magpul sights to Troys and got them a bolt carrier group, like I said, he didn't need much. I take pride in the fact that they asked me to do this and wouldn't hear of them paying for it, it's my last gift to him.
So you are accusing me of something?
No, that was actually poor wording on my part. No insult nor underlying intent was implied. Truly pure humor on my part as I knew your intentions. Sorry for the confusion. :P

I entered this thread thinking, "no fregin way is someone on this board a racist like this." I'm glad I was wrong but your post cracked me up and reminded me why I was curious about this thread in the first place.

I like it, albeit admittedly looks like a 1911 from a bad graphics video game what with its polygonal structure...

The information on the B29 is true, learnt this while attending my instructor course this last march. It's a VERY recent change, like within the last 6-9 months recent. -
Arsenal is one of THE names in AK-74 builds. I.O. is another as is Ohio Ord..

FNH FNX series, me personally is the FNX-9 but I wouldn't mind the FNX-45... The FNX series is VERY accurate and simulates an H&K USP controls only better due to being ambi however I like the H&K controls themselves better(the slide catch/release feels more positive, safety feels the same, and mag release feels better on the H&K too) but overall versatility wins the day for me allowing a righty or a lefty to handle it, not to mention a MUCH cheaper price tag comparatively. -
Just got mine back today, trigger is a lil stiffer than before, we'll have to fix that... They replaced my extractor and spring whilst they were in there under a different op code, as I informed them as such, line on the repair order but did it under warranty so that was nice. Gonna give er a function test this Sunday to see if it cycles. Ugh, function tests with .300 Win Mag is NOT cheap...
