  1. I'm in Wilson co, and standard wheel tax/tags cost $49 I believe. But you still pay $10 to run every vehicle thru emissions. They even test diesel now...specialty tags to support the smokey mtns or trout unlimited cost about $85
  2. Mine is darn near indestructible!
  3. Ok, so I downloaded the app to see what it showed. A) it only shows about a 5 mile radius around your location. B) you can only zoom out to said 5 mile radius (btw it uses google maps) C) there were no dangerous gun owners near me apparently The read me first part leans on crowd sourcing. It promotes what they call "tattle ware" and essentially promotes the flaming of anyone anywhere for any reason, yet tying into a gun issue. Here are the indicators a flamed could choose: my thoughts in ( ) Possible unlocked/loaded/unsafe storage (unsafe to who? Bad guys?) Possible insufficient training (In who's eyes) Guns and unsupervised children (more concerned about the unsupervised kids) Possible medical related concern (none of their damn business) Neighborhood talk, unsafe (just cause I don't like the nearest neighbor doesn't mean I'm unsafe) Possible high conflict, armed neighbor (guilty if threatened) Possible out of place, large arsenal (?) Documented/frequent unlawful discharge (if I shoot there is something or someone I'm aiming at) Possible illegal weapons on premises (a suppressor is not illegal) Possible prohibited weapons (I think I saw him carrying a black gun, it was probably an assault rifle or maybe a mop) Possible anti-government/terrorist threat (really?) Other concern (I don't like the fact the he doesn't pay for trash pickup and hauls his trash out in the open in his truck) Of course I'm joking (or not) about my comments above, this app is garbage, and we should all download it if we have android, leave a nice comment for the developer as well as any potential people that might download it, then delete it. Or, we all could find out who developed it, and log their address as a crazy, whacked out, RPGs unlocked/loaded/ and in unsafe storage :-) Rant over lol
  4. If you live in mid tn I could show you some lesser travelled wma's
  5. The water release schedule is subject to change...they should just say we are gonna be generating 24/7 with the exception of the times you cannot come fish. Seems my luck on the caney
  6. Coming from someone in the cellular industry, I would highly recommend the Note over the galaxy tab. The note will be a much more user friendly device that will be kept up to date more so than the entry level tab 2. Pm me if you have any detailed questions or want more advice. I've been in the industry for 8 years and may be able to answer any ?'s or concerns...
  7. It's in Georgia. Dallas Highway is near Atlanta
  8. Is the trigger guard necessary when held "gangsta" style?
  9. I'm one of the last people on earth w/o Facebook...any way to register without fb?
  10. Like several of the others, Rock Island is my carry gun. If it gets a scratch its ok. I carry the 22TCM/9mm micro mag. For practice the 9mm barrel and spring goes in, for carry the 22 TCM barrel is in. Quick easy change and the TCM is a blast to shoot!
  11. My current go to is a 1911A2. Chambered in 22 TCM. Have carried many favorites, but 18 rnds of 40grain HP in a double stack that runs just a hair over 2k fps is my new favorite
  12. Love the idea but not really functional as of yet
  13. Like others, I trust my reloads with my life. They also tend to be more accurate as time spent ironing out the specific charge and grain to cycle the weapon and either produce a better pattern or light enough to cycle and reduce fatigue.
  14. Firestorm (Bersa) mini thunder 9. Quickly replaced with a Taurus PT92AFS (over Baretta m9) due to decock auto return.
  15. The Unicorn has been found! Got a decent price on Gun Broker and it should arrive at D&T any time now.
  16. Things are getting better, but I don't believe they're that much better...
  17. First truck was a 91 GMC sanoma, firewall beat out to fit the crate 350. Welded motorcycle shock onto the diff to keep wheel hop down. Almost pull the nose off the ground if you had hot asphalt to take off from. Bike was the infamous 01 CBR600 F4i with Devil exhaust. Could hear it over a mile away when you were in the pipe...prob should be in jail, and when I realized that I sold it
  18. We'd be interested in shooting/learning Cordell hull also. I'll post a picture this evening. Nothing fancy, just gets the job done though
  19. Sounds good. Again no fancy rig here but can put plenty o fish in the boat. Went for 2 hrs this evening and put 14 in the boat. Makes for great fertilizer for the garden!
  20. If there is any interest in experiencing it or giving it a shot let me know. I enjoy running the light and motor and watching others shoot and learn as much as me shooting. I usually go 3 nights a week and either fri or sat night. I have room for 3 in the boat max including me. Took a newbie 3 nights ago and he got in about 50 shots in 3 hrs, so the fish are all over right now.
  21. That is true. Largest fish of the year so far is a 39.15 lb carp. Fought like a dolphin!
  22. I pretty much fish old hickory lake, but on occasion go to Cordell hull.
  23. I know most of us on here love shooting sports of all kinds, so I am gathering interest in a bowfishing tournament of sorts. I am not one with the fancy airboat setup, just a small boat, spot light, and couple of bows looking to see if there are others on this forum that bow fish or are interested in bow fishing. Let me know your thoughts and if anyone is interested in an informal shoot one weekend night.
  24. Mine is the Rock Island 22 TCM. Been looking for months for a decently priced NIB. Therefore it's my unicorn. What is yours?
