Protesters stop traffic on Interstate, What would you do?
Wiljo05 replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
If I was ever the guy laying on the road beat that bad, I'd like to think there would be piles of empty cases and at at least a few joining me laying there -
If i am going to eat catfish, I only keep and eat flathead. I'm not sure about the lake you are on, but more than likely similar to several I fish here. The flathead eats live fish, so catch as many bluegill (war mouth) works great, and hook them on jugs (I use pool noodles with reflective tape on one end) and set as many as you can anywhere from 3 to 15 ft deep along rocky banks. Sit back and wait in the fun. In 2 nights just before our 4th of July fish fry, we caught 65 1/2 lbs of flatheads. All on live bait. Friend tried chicken livers and night crawlers, and only caught channel cat on them, the biggest being 2 lbs. we pulled in our biggest flathead at 23 lbs. The reason I'm so picky about the flatheads is its all white meat, no yellow or foul tasting parts at all.

Note to self...wear brown wetsuit when swimming with whales

+1 for both of these. Wilson co is nice, can have as country or small city life as you would like. Certain places like Antioch and Rivergate, even parts of Hermitage I would shy away from...

Maybe I left a word or two out...not the comments from TGO members, comments from the masses in the article. Tending to crash victims is all our civic duties. Too often I am the first to stop as others just ride on past...makes me hopeful that should I be in need one day someone will do the same. Edited original reply to cut confusion...

Just in reading the comments (in the article, not our comments), it makes me want to pack my stuff and head to an island. It's hard to believe there are so many idiots out there that take what they hear as the truth, or twist it so it fits their agenda. And I'm not even talking the government. Reminds me of a line in one of my favorite movies - Shooter Senator speaking "the truth is what I say it is"

Smells Like Something Dead Near U.S. Capitol Bldg

I'm laughing that someone has started a petition to make it the official flower of the city lol -
Roof pitch is way too steep for my liking, but a mixture of simple green and water and a soft brush on pole is what I used

Gotta think though, will they blame the AR, the guy behind it, or the angry mob. 10 to 1 says its not the mob... -
Sorry, but as an innocent armed citizen, it likely would have ended much worse for all involved. I'm going to protect my family from any enemy foreign or domestic. Having no reason to be raided by police, I would only suspect it was some bad guys trying to make their way into my house.

I used to do the scary movie/haunted house thing. But the older I get, the more reality sets in that its not unicorns and puppies out here in the real world. Having a little boy makes me realize there is nothing I wouldn't do to keep him and my wife safe, and the thought of them being in a harmful situation is scarier than any movie or haunted house.

There's enough scary $?-t going on right now that I can't see paying to watch a scary as hell looking movie. Listen to what's going on in our wonderful government and there's the real scary story!

No, but you have to wonder though, are things allowed to happen or staged to take the heat off others?

There is a place in Lebanon on highway 70 that does sunrooms/awnings...can't think of the name but can get it tomorrow. More than likely they will have to be fabricated, so unsure if the eBay ones will work. Measure 4 times, buy once!

Netflix working here...must be a solid hack if they already penetrated apple. The redundancies they have in place are insane
-
No worries! Glad it worked so I didn't sound like an idiot lol

I second that. As long as you don't limp wrist it its great for a super conceal piece.

Anyone see the Wilson County student packet?
Wiljo05 replied to Bill4282's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
So I graduated from Wilson co schools. It hasn't been that long ago. Then it was a don't ask don't tell type policy. They knew that a lot of us FFA/Ag guys hunted after school, and would even change into camo before we left. Then the next day teachers would ask if we did any good hunting. This was the majority of the teachers and they seemed to be completely ok with it. They had to know we had our hunting tools with us. Sounds to me like a very select few that are in positions of influence, or at least appear to be big people in town, get their way as the others buckle and don't want to cause a scene or disrupt the group. These that buckle are the reason the country is going in the direction it is going. I say to all the weak ones that let others trample over their, and our rights, grow a pair and man/woman up enough to deal with the argument, people not liking you, or bad publicity that comes with standing your ground(no pun intended)... -
How deep is the case stuck? I had a friend bury one, and with no extractor in sight, we went the old school bearing fix. We put the die in the freezer for a bit, then took a propane torch to the brass and it slipped right out. Used this method on many a tractor bearing to get it off or on when it was press fitted.

"Justice for Trayvon" National Day of Action Vigils in 100 Cities

Can we have a justice for Zimmerman rally that same day? Being as the Feds are still trying to hang him... -
I love the video (you tube) of Uncle Ted taking Morgan shooting, then destroying him in the interview afterward...good if you have 30 min to burn. http://youtu.be/NotvVTqHDnw

If a drone crashes in the forest, and there is only one guy with a gun, did it make a noise?

For tme of year to plant, go with what the local Co-op says. It should fall in line with the frost date. Co-op will offer a wealth of local knowledge, and can even help with soil testing/fert options. Find an older guy there, and pick his brain. Nothing against the young guys(I am one) but I go with experience over books

Also heard talk of possible construction near providence in mt juliet...this was at last zoning meeting that is. So it's as much hear say as word on the street
