10grains of 110 and the factory bullet got me consistent 1650 - 1690 fps. That's with the factory 40 gr bullet. Not close to factory ammo sadly. I chrono'd factory and was getting 2010 - 2150. That was 10 rounds pulled from 2 random boxes. I tried a few vmax bullets, and OAL was an issue. To get OAL it was either seriously compress the charge or back it off a bit. I opted to back off! I'd love to find some other options on bullets, but taking it seriously slow due to the lack of margin of error being a hot round already. I have been tweaking the loads on a program I have for the computer to try, and according to it there are several powder options, but none that get it to the 2k fps.

Best decision I've made in a while was to buy the lifetime license for my son just before he turned 3. I think it was $200, but 2 years of sportsmans license would trump that cost. Congrats on getting into the elite club!

The dress code is no different than a legally posted business. It is their choice to prohibit guns, loitering, solicitation, smoking, requiring shoes, whatever they choose because it is THEIR choice as the business owner. In my younger days, bars or clubs had a dress code saying no hats or men must wear collared shirts ect. This is an example of a likely educated thug, or at least someone that has the ability to somewhat write an educated sounding letter. Sadly they, and I know people like this, think that just because someone (individual or business) requires a certain dress code, prohibits solicitation, or even legally posts against firearms that is ok to challenge them on it. The groups that believe they are entitled are killing the country.

Down and Side imaging is where it's at. Hard to imaging fishing before it. It's much easier to find the fish when it's tough as you can see them school on ledges or drops. Only advice: read the Manual 10 times, then go to known drops or ledges and set your graph to red/yellow and learn what the fish look like suspended. Then it's money!

I'm no expert, but this is the recipe for what I use to deer hunt with the AR. 62 gr Speer boat tail hollow point in front of 25.5 grains of H335. I shot some ballistic gel with several rounds, and the expansion was very similar to the VMax bullets, but I've been afraid the VMax might have a higher tendency to ricochet off bone or simply explode. I'm sure there are many other options, but this works for me. All the deer I took during gun season last year were with this combination. The big issues are knowing your ranges, more so your effective range and shot placement. Being comfortable with a 300 yard shot with a 7mm or 300 is like being comfortable with a 150 yard shot with the AR. You may be able to ring the steel at 500, but would you take that shot on a deer at that range? (I will leave the Midwest elk/mulie spot&stalk shots out, since that's not relevant to this topic or caliber)

Coyote hunting here in mid tn, was running a mouth call looking downwind and heard something behind me....CLOSE behind me. I had a little cover so I slowly turned to my left and saw nothing. As I slowly turned my head back to 12 o clock I spot it at give or take 4 feet! It had walked to my right as i turned left. At that range, Helen Keller could have seen and heard the skunk! To this day I don't know how I didn't get sprayed since I yelled like a school girl and froze in a staring contest. It felt like 10 min but was all of 45 seconds it just looked at me, then sauntered off. That's my funniest story I can think of right now

Remembering back when I was little, there were guns in just about every room. I'm very confident they were all loaded. Did I ever touch one without my parents? He'll no! They would have beat my a$$ and I knew it. Neither did any of my 5 other siblings! The only fault I can see today is the parents lack of educating their kids, by respecting the guns AND my parents, all of us made it just fine...

I think agreeing to disagree is best. You can call the police, tell them do arrest the 100's of people in the mob (not domestic terrorists), and when the police don't/can't and the mob starts turning violent, you can look for someone like me that will be prepared to lay down a path for ALL of us victims to pass through, once i have insured my family is safe. Including people I completely disagree with or feel like say things just to stir the pot...

I don't do pissing matches, but consider 2 things. 1) intimidation begins when your rights are violated or Infringed upon. I this case, your right to travel safely to and from a destination have been taken away from you and hundreds or thousands of others. 2) if your wife and kids/family member/friend is in need of medical aid, and they are headed to the hospital and are stopped or the medics are blocked from getting to you or them, By this mob of people on the interstate with no option to turn around, or proceed unimpeeded to the hospital, do you just consider this an inconvenience of some friendly protestors or has your right to medical attention. Or I impeded travel been violated? Violent or not, that's domestic terrorism at its finest. And as far as lethal force, I didn't say anything about drones or snipers. I will use lethal force to protect me and mine. If I had a drone, and the situation required it, yes I just might use it :-)
