  1. It isn't near as critical on the apple platform simply due to the heavy policing that apple does of the App Store. I know that most malicious apps are recovered within 24 hrs. Mainly checking the reviews, makes it a fairly safe environment. I still shy away from all password keeper type apps though...
  2. Good work tanker! I can elaborate a little more on permissions. And the security app is a good idea, but it can be read into a little more than necessary. But in the case of the Facebook app I agree. For example, an app that gives you free wallpapers realistically needs access to these portions of your device: internet(to download), storage(to save it), contacts ( to in app assign it to a contact), camera (allowing you to upload a new photo), as well as few others... When it gets sketchy is when you download a calculator app and it requests all the permissions (shotgun blast as you called it) since we know there is not a lot of interface a simple calculator app should have with the main root of the device. I work in the wireless industry as a Data Consultant, so if anyone has more in depth questions I'm more than willing to help, just let me know. Edit: permissiondog, as well as others are great for identifying what is being requested as far as permissions go, but I'm usually hesitant on using them as they can have a tendency to drain resources of the device (battery, processor, ect) And yes TuneIn is the cats a$$! Since Bob and Tom lost Nashville I can still listen every day. I will try to come up with a list of some top apps that might be relevant to most here, or just in general and post it up. Then we all can add to it as we have our own favorites.
  3. That's my cure for poison ivy!!!!
  4. Like all have said, they are a good bunch there, and I agree that this is a specialty round, but for a 50 yard or less advertised accuracy round it still seems steep. The "retail" price is about $5 lower than Midway. They did just send another flyer for slide fire stocks @299. Just a quick search showed others at 369...so maybe a deal on those?
  5. Doggie XGames?
  6. Any takers? I called one in last night right before dark. Cool snap sets em off!
  7. Hunting season is upon us!!!
  8. Thanks for the heads up on the TCM ammo. Outpost is a good haul for me but if I'm out that way ill stop in.
  9. Worst part, is they tried to make it sound like the deal of the year...the only ammo ill buy there is 22TCM, as they are only shop around that carries it.
  10. So I just got an email "sale" notice for my local gun shop... And the sale is...... $120 per 1k of cci short range green $65 per 500 same as above. No limit...funny though all the other calibers have limits still
  11. There is only one way to find out
  12. I'm in. Upper and lower!
  13. What firearms??? :-) I also use an excel spreadsheet. Gives me the option to store on google drive, so if I'm out and come across something part wise, I can check my "stock" and see if I need it
  14. I hunt several. Never on opening day. More If I am running late and want to get into the woods I may hit one or two of the lesser travelled ones around me.
  15. I don't think we want to test how stupid they can be
  16. Pm sent
  17. I'm done the day I have to buy white linen gloves to handle one of my guns...
  18. Netflix, Hulu, and a $40 powered digital antennae in my attic and we get more crap for $18/month than we know what to do with. Like Blizzard said, local in HD, some British junk, and a large handful of other channels I've never watched. Netflix and Hulu for the kid's cartoons, and that's about all. I can always catch a show on the web if wanted, but been months since the last time I sat and watched a series
  19. Outside...all of it. Fishing, hunting, all of it!
  20. Always an apple, water, and some type of PB crackers or cheese crackers
  21. Open and see what the headstamp is?
  22. Same here on the help. Smyrna isn't but a 25 min ride for me, and I hunt out that way some too.
  23. Luck :-)
  24. I finally got all the material/equip to make summer sausage. Between jerky and summer sausage, that's all I make now. Gotta agree with Ruger though, unless you have a large walk in cooler, it's tough to kill in the morning then process enough to get to work on time.
