  1. Tennessee determines it's illegal finally... WSMV www.wsmv.com/story/23615096/tn-company-told-to-stop-offering-cell-phones-for-health-insurance
  2. All I can say is I wish I'd have learned that before the DD22 came at me! If you don't know what a DD22 is, just google or imagine a big crank bait covered in treble hooks!
  3. No the blood stopped literally an inch from the edge of the bluff. And I was shooting a satellite this time
  4. I can't find the link, but as soon as I do it will be here. Greg Warren standup comedian has a skit about Bigfoot that's hilarious. Fits right in here!
  5. Whoa whoa whoa, you're suggesting that that could or has happened?!?!
  6. Ooooouuuuucccchhhh!
  7. I'd bet money he had one of those terrible assault rifles /sarcasm/
  8. I'm pretty sure you and I pay for it as well. My health insurance went up $150 a month to "help" pay for obamacare. As far as I'm concerned them bundling in the phone is part of the deal. Someone is paying for it and that someone is us. The government gave them the loan to provide the service, and who pays for that? We do
  9. This should be a crime in itself
  10. Well Ruger I believe our luck is the same. I stuck one yesterday evening. Complete pass thru on the arrow. Good blood, let me rephrase that, good blood for over 300 yards, 2 fences, and into the river off a 15' bluff....I'm pretty sure the deer said F off, you're not eating me! Got it in go pro cam, shot her on the edge of the field, she takes off and I thought sweet the river will stop her...not so much this time. A first for me for sure
  11. Best thing to do with your old bow: re commission it into a bow fishing rig! $120 will get you the muzzy fish hook rest and a good retriever set up. Not as exciting as sticking a deer, but man it's fun. Just remember not to aim low once your back in the woods!
  12. Nice! Thanks. Will be using it today for sure!
  13. If you're ever down toward middle tn hit me up. I shoot as long as there are fish to shoot at. Not familiar with the Volunteer Landing, but we have some places that really draw attention when you're running lights and shooting behind 3-5 million dollar homes lol
  14. We "borrowed" them :-) then returned them
  15. Senior prank in high school. Turning 5 goats loose in the school. Numbered them 1,2,3,7,10 with spray paint. I know it's been done before, but even 13 yrs ago we got threatened about not graduating! Not the dumbest, but looking back it wasn't smart. Funny, but not smart...
  16. When I was younger, a buddy and I would pen the not so tame horses up in the barn, fashion a bridle out of a bucket handle and reigns out of bailing twine. Then ride as fast as they could go up and down the barn alley...
  17. And that my friends is how we ended up in this crap administration...
  18. Looks like you really paid some attention to details. The screws, rear sight, ect coated as well. I'd be interested in coating a lower and upper at some point, just haven't looked into it enough yet...
  19. Most of the time I use the head strap at a 45 degree angle. Bow hunting that it. It sits just over the outside corner of my left eye (right handed) and gives a pretty sick view of the arrow in flight. It looks just over the peep sight. If I'm filming a lot, I also mount one on an offset mount on the stabilizer aiming back at the shooter. It gives a pretty cool viewing angle too.
  20. Whack em! That's all I've accomplished in my hunts so far. Smoked turkey breast will be good, but really wanting so smoke some summer sausage. All the deer I'd been seeing on cam have disappeared as of Friday night it appears. They aren't even showing their faces on any of 3 cams I have out! They will mess up though, and I will be waiting on them. Spent a total of 23 hours in the stand since opening morning and only have a turkey and one dear 'yote to show for it. Turkey at 5 yards and the coyote at 15. Coyote was stalking a fawn that had just passed with its momma. Craziest thing I've seen. Almost cat like. Hunkered down shoulders up like you see lions hunting. He never saw me stand and draw. Stuck him high between the shoulders. Spun for 20 seconds or so and lights out. Once I edit some film (gopro cam) I'll share it with y'all. Stay in the woods and stick em if ya can!
  21. When your enemies out weigh the number of rounds you have, you gotta find an alternate weapon / means to defend yourself. I've rode motorcycles for years, and 100% say mow em over if they have surrounded you and are threatening. I showed my wife the video, and asked her what she would do, she said I would try not to run over the ones not trying to get in the car. At that point I told her I deem them as guilty as the others because A) they are blocking my exit intentionally B) guilty by association. They didn't have to follow the monkeys trying to get into the car. And yes, I saw 2 instances where I would have fired my weapon. That RR would have looked like it rolled down a mountain, because I refuse to go out without a fight
  22. The bright side, weather you find him or not, is that you got the monkey off your back of that first shot. First shot that makes contact that is. From here on out, you only have to worry about distance and shot placement. Don't beat yourself up on the shot placement though deer move so fast that you may have been on the money, and it was just time for the deer to move a little.
  23. Quail and dove are the filet minõn of birds! Bacon wrapped, tossed on the grill with just salt and pepper is tough to beat! You are talking about raising for eating right? Prob should have asked that first...
  24. Ruger it sucks but happens to most at some time or another. I stuck a 170's Illinois buck 3 years ago. Arrow passed thru and didn't leave enough blood to figure out where he went when he got out of sight. It was with a Rage...but, I still hunt with them because 99.9% of the time they are devastating! Like 30 yard and drop devastating. Some deer seem to be like people, just more will to live, and either run forever and die, or I like to think that they make it. I hate wounding an animal more than anything like you do!
  25. I should be sleeping, but can't yet! I'm trying to take a one antlered scrub buck that is polluting the gene pool at hone. That and coyotes!
