  1. Thanks to all that helped setup and tear down. Good match and good crowd tonight. Scores will be posted to practiscore soon.
  2. Hopefully no major backups on the roads tonight. See everyone shortly
  3. Welcome to Tn and TGO
  4. We can accommodate around 20-25 shooters and still get in 4-5 fun, but challenging stages. We have a good number coming, but reply below if you plan on shooting so we can have an accurate count. If you've only shot targets standing still this is a great way to add movement and reloads to hone your skills and get some good quality trigger time! We are new shooter friendly, so bring a friend. Shooters meeting at 5:30, rounds down range at 6pm
  5. A 100lb cylinder might be a good consideration too. I use one for gas logs in my house vs having to have a really big tank or smoking thru 20lb grill cylinders. And some TSC's fill propane for about $85-$100 for a 100lb cylinder so pricing for the gas is competitive.
  6. Ron, Great meeting you today and i enjoyed chatting. If I get any free time, I'd be glad to show you any of the spots I pointed out on the map. Just not sure how much time I'll have, but will try to work a day where I'm up your way with some time to spare.
  7. Sounds good! I'll try to make it quick. Ideally under 89 seconds
  8. Planning on being there. Any chance of a classifier out your way soon
  9. I've got 2 coming with me.
  10. Bump to top for the Music City Tactical Shooters Indoor Match happening tomorrow night (Wednesday December 3rd). Going to be a great match with challenging stages and guaranteed to be fun! Shooters meeting starts at 5:30 pm with rounds downrange at 6:00pm. Range is located at Sumner Gun & Supply 562 West Main St Gallatin TN, 37066
  11. If I recall the hunteraccess permit was $20 or $25
  12. Was there today for quota hunt. All sorts of signs of deer, but according to the ranger if I recall there were around 34 or so deer checked in yesterday. I hunted area 13. Granted it was windy and hot today, which may have led to me and the two others with me not seeing deer at all. I coyote hunt there every year in February and see deer then. They must know when its safe and not safe! Also, area 15 had the most deer taken from the Tn side over the weekend. Good luck!
  13. I have a 10 or so yr old viper and still like it. It's not too heavy, and is seriously comfortable if you're an all day sitter. Only thing I've replaced were the pads on the rails and upgraded the foot stirrup from the old web to their newer hooks. Seat is still as good as when I bought it. It usually gets left in the woods with a trash bag covering the seat for the duration of bow season. Think I paid $219 for it then as it was the top of the line, and looks like prices are still similar. +1 for any summit stand I'd say.
  14. Monkeylizard is dead on here. There is a fine line that you can figure out over time how long it takes to return to comfortable temps in the house. Spread out the time it takes to increase and you won't run auxiliary, slow that time down too much and you don't have any savings to justify the units cost. You can also try an app called ITTT (if this then that). Pretty cool app that can control a number of automation products both common and uncommon
  15. +1 for the Nest. Have 2, and like the automation. Haven't touched the stat in months since it learned traffic patterns
  16. Went out for a quick hunt before church yesterday, tons of squirrels and then two coyotes moved in about 80 yards as I was climbing down. I always carry my distress call, and 3 quick hits on the call sent them my way. Lost visual on the bigger one, but had a 40 yrd shot on this one. 62grain Speer did the trick...
  17. Luke, I've got a guy near me that has done several mounts for me and others in my family. Just about 10 min past my place, small hole in the wall kinda place. But the guy does good work.
  18. Was a lot of fun. Draw, point, squeeze trigger really fast, reload, and squeeze fast again. I like it!
  19. Looks like plans have changed and I'm gonna be there. Stages look good!
  20. I love my Nikon P-223. Clear and holds zero very well. I opted not to buy the $79 Nikon mount and went with a $25 1 piece mount from Amazon... That lasted about 3 months. I now have the Nikon mount on it and it is rock solid. But any quality mount will work.
  21. Had a young buck walk at 15 yards this morning. Fa th er in law is watching 9 doe right now. Been a good morning so far
  22. Good luck today if yall are in the woods. It's chilly. And can just now see more than 30 yards where I'm sitting
  23. Glendolph is on point here. Gotta be careful though as the pressures spike very quickly. H-110 is my go to for the TCM, but it's a very tight tolerance. If you have a windows pc, check out the program called Quick Load. It can be your best friend when it comes to semi exotic / wildcat cartridges. Gives a nice graph of pressure / velocity curve and lets you tinker with different powders and bullet weights. I'm working on a 40 grain ballistic tip load now, and getting decent results. OAL will be your enemy though.
  24. Great time today! Thanks Rick for the fun stage designs
  25. Welcome! There are regular matches all around Nashville. I'll post it this evening if others don't chime in first. There is an IDPA match Saturday hosted by Music City Tactical Shooters in Dickson. I'll link you the stages and info shortly.
