  1. I found out just a bit ago, that weapons bans are based on the fact that beer is sold in the stadium. Woopity doo I say!   DaveS
  2. Ron, it sounds like a good round!   DaveS
  3. "The thief later died of his wounds". DUH!! Out of an 8.33 minute video not a single person to include LEO (duty to act?) give this thug first aid. Did he get what he had coming and deserve to die? That's not for me to say. But that probably wasn't his first rodeo!   DaveS
  4. Sad part is (besides the whole event) that all that meat has to be thrown out! What a shame.   DaveS
  5. OK  thanks. I've never run into that before. We had a GI get busted here last year for deer hunting with Tracer Rounds. He got hit hard on that deal!     DaveS
  6. I don't know what the "Green Tip" penetrator round is. Is it FMJ? FMJ ammo is not permitted. That's the only restriction I'm aware of as far as ammo goes.   DaveS
  7. There are many good brands out there. The CVA Optima is an awesome ML and I prefer them over TC. I've never seen a TC Triumph, so I'm not much help there.   DaveS
  8. Zombies Aren't real, but clowns scared the hell out of me as a kid. For them? 1911 .45 seems good for the task!   DaveS
  9. Went to the Titans and Chiefs game last week and the security and body wands were a little crazy. I think it is easier getting on a plane! Way to go NFL!   DaveS
  10. Very well put Unk'a Jak!   DaveS
  11. Very well said Timestepper. You've shown gratitude well enough and we appreciate that. Get over the "humility" part PDQ Don, because helping friends is what friends do. At least where I came from. I don't think there is a single person on TGO that hasn't "helped the cause" of a member in need anywhere on this forum. I would assume that it shall happen again, as long as needed by someone. It's just who we are.   If I don't get my retirement check, guess what? I may be heading to the food stamp office myself. And, when I walk in the door, I'm walking in with my head held high, because of the fact that I worked my whole life, same as you did, and "earned" the right to be there asking for assistance. I don't want to demeanor anyone here, but I suspect there would be a bunch of lazy a**es there waiting in line that should "bow down" to us for supporting them!   Rant Off   Nuff' said....carry on.   Dave
  12. What really torques my gears is the fact that (take Cross Creeks for example) the hunting and fishing is self supporting. Only four employees are effected. The manager, his Secretary and two Maintenance workers. They are furloughed. I Volunteer for the USFWS at Cross Creeks, and the two Federal Game Wardens are still on site. On weekends and holidays, no office personnel are there anyways. So why shut the Refuge down because office workers are not there. It's driving us nuts!   DaveS
  13. Hunter's here are getting pretty fired up too due to closings at LBL and the Wildlife Refuges. Hunters paid for "Quota Hunts" that won't happen. Are they going to get their money back? Who knows.   DaveS
  14. Yep, the dog really does help!   DaveS
  15. A newly released update... DaveS
  16. Besides two of my favorite hunting areas closing and no retirement check.....life is peachy. Yeah right. Probably won't get it next month either! Probably get every thing shut off.   DaveS
  17. You could also join your local Volunteer Fire Department and get free First Responder and other EMT classes for free. Just something for you to think about.   DaveS
  18. Volunteer State used to teach EMT B courses. Not sure if they still do or not.   DaveS
  19. That works too!   DaveS
  20. When I dry whole peppers as you're doing, I just string them up and hang them to dry. When I dry them in my dehydrator I slice them. I've never done whole peppers in it before. Keep us posted! Check your vents and see how they are set. They may not be getting enough air circulation.   DaveS
  21. Heck, I thought he closed years ago. You're talking about the one between Oak Grove and Hop'town right? I used to like going in there. Have not been in 20 years or better!   DaveS
  22. I was out this evening. Trout fishing tomorrow and deer hunting the weekend. Good luck to you all. The old crusty stanky bucks are safe. Young deer are much easier to load on my 4 wheeler!   Happy Hunting!   DaveS
  23. Ron, if you have private land to hunt, Fort Campbell may not be worth it to you.   DaveS
  24. I can't help but to ask...which piece are they looking for?  lol   DaveS
