  1. It used to open day after juvy hunt, but not this year. You wouldn't believe the number of tickets wrote this past weekend! It does really pay to read the regs!   DaveS
  2. I know the Guards keep a pretty good eye on them. A friend of mine is a Guard at Brushy Mountain and he keeps me pretty well posted on things. Not much gets past them.   DaveS
  3. That was a good tactic! Disable their vessel and they couldn't maneuver against you. Then you destroyed the ship, captured the flag (that was given to the king) plunder all you could, and sent the crew swimming! Ahhh what fun days those must have been in the Navy!   DaveS
  4. Yes. Was supposed have weakened the Union lines before the assault. All it did in my opinion was pizz those Yankees off even more!   DaveS
  5. Hozzie, that's a sweet looking rifle! I hope you get her sighted in. We're running out of time! DaveS

  8. "Shoot for the mast and rudders boys"!!   DaveS
  9. Me and my fishing partner was out on Kentucky Lake bass fishing when Larry's (my friend) son called and told Larry the news. Larry's son Mike dated the 16 year old girl that worked at Baskin Robbins. Reports said she was found partially in the water (on the bank) at Dunbar State Park Lake. Her and the other girl was found by an elderly couple walking their dog. Both had their throats cut.   So, Paul Reid....good riddance, and may your ghost haunt you through eternity! I can smell your flesh burning in hell right now!   DaveS
  10. No pun intended right?  lol
  11. Here is a two minute clip from the movie "Gettysburg". We had 4 of our guns there and we're mixed in there somewhere. The clip is Confederate Reenactors laying down an artillery barrage. Imagine all those guns firing canister?   Enjoy   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RrY81GZgrtg   DaveS
  12. That's 100% correct. You bring tears to my eyes, I love it!! I was supposed to be at New Johnsonville today, but due to a family illness, I'll be heading to Alabama instead. The rest of the battery is there though. DaveS
  13. OK, I have officially declared my hunting property and my yard a "No Drone Fly Zone". Let this serve as official warning that all drones that enter restricted airspace will be shot down! Could you imagine having to put up signs like that on your property along with "no hunting" signs?   DaveS
  14. Nice Buck! How much did he weigh? He looks solid man... DaveS
  15. Several of us reenactors were sitting around a camp fire recently at Chickamauga GA and we were poking fun at some infantry reenactors. Us artillerymen were talking about an old tactic of bouncing a solid shot off the ground and into the legs of an advancing enemy line. Keep in mind that the last line of defense for a Battery of Artillery is to fire "Canister". Canister looks like a giant shotgun shell and contains any where from about 20 to hundreds of 1" steel balls depending on caliber of cannon. One of the Infantry reenactors spoke up and said, The last thing you ever wanted to hear was a battery commander yell to his gun crews; "Range, 100 yards with Double Canister, Load!" Your day was about to get real bad real quick!   There are actual reports of troops turning to run when they advanced close enough to hear the gun commands and heard what was being loaded. Most of the time it was so noisy and so much smoke the infantry couldn't really see how close they had gotten to the guns.   DaveS
  16. I'm telling you what Buddy, Canister shot is bad a**!!! DaveS
  17. Hell yea! That'll get your attention! Thanks for the picture! DaveS
  18. OH man...never heard of that one. How sad!   DaveS
  19. Another hole in our "2A Boat". Brother TGO'rs, we're sinking fast!   DaveS
  20. I hear a little boy died in Nashville last night while out trick or treating. I guess the wind knocked some power lines down on him. This is so tragic as "spook night" is supposed to be filled with cheer and happiness. I pray for that child's family.   DaveS
  21. Shaun, aren't you shooting a CVA Wolf?   DaveS
  22. I pretty much said I made a mistake, and found what I was looking for. And yes, I seen your quote. It's just a bunch of numbers. I like to read the laws for myself. I really want to say more to a couple of you guys (chuckieshoes and jayc) but I'm a tad smarter and a little more mature, and will not bring myself down to your level of getting your points across. Grow up fellas!   Good Evening.   DaveS
  23. WOW...A picture of chuck. I declare. DaveS
  24. Wonder if they "taste like chicken"? Sorry, I couldn't help myself!   DaveS
