Out in the county where I live, I have to drive down a two lane winding country road to get home. The speed limit is 45 and that's all the faster I drive. Darn people will fly up behind me and tailgate me so close I can't see their headlights (day or night). I gradually let up off the gas and slow my speed to about 30. When they back off, I speed up to the posted limit. If they come back up on my bumper, back down to 30 I go. I've only had to brake test one person out here, and I feel bad she ran into the ditch to keep from hitting me! Lesson learned here....stay off me!!!   DaveS

If I'm driving at no more than the posted legal speed limit, and have a mile of open road in front of me and a line of cars behind me, I am doing it right. Those behind me are doing it all wrong. That means I got there first, I'm first in line, you have to wait on me now, and if you want to be first in line next time, leave earlier!   I've never had a speeding ticket EVER. Not going to start now and NOT because someone else pushes me to do so. If anyone injures me, my family or my pets because they are acting like an azzhat on the highway (cell phone usage, tailgating, texting or speeding), "they" will not need a lawyer!   Let me quote TMF here.....#63   Dave

I have tons of deer antlers. I have given many away here on TGO. They are used for buttons, knife handles, flint knapping and leather work. The bigger sets are good for deer hunters to "rattle antlers". The selling price is usually pretty good. All kinds of craft and primitive items can be made from them, let alone the fact that Koreans and Chinese say that antler tea is the best "Viagra" in the world when boiled and drank as tea. I've never tried it as I don't want to go to the ER if my junk don't go down after four hours. I'll take their word for it!   If someone needs some "buck horns" let me know, maybe we can work something out.   DaveS

Had a State Trooper one time tell me that the speedlimit is 70MPH. He said I was doing 82. I told him I was passing a vehicle. He said "let me repeat myself". You were doing 82 in a 70 mph zone, I don't care what you were doing. The speed limit is 70, not 82! I think my Firefighter plate got me out of a ticket. Simply put, passing in the passing lane is NOT an excuse to speed. Both the right hand and left hand lanes are posted 70MPH. We don't get to pick and choose. If the OP was doing 70 in the passing lane, then he was 100% correct! He just happened to get in front of a jerk! The left lane isn't the speeding lane, nor is the right.   DaveS
