  1. I used to hunt them near Akron, and there isn't anything that compares to a big rooster pheasant flushing up out of a corn field during a heavy snow! It's a picture that stays with you forever. I hear from kin folk up there that they are getting hard to come by.   I sure miss it!   Dave
  2. I'm going to add some more to it tomorrow and unload that and the 20 because it is bugging me to death. I don't like people giving me things like that. I have always been a giver and not a taker! Maybe you can get something going out your way to help someone with that twenty.   Dave
  3. Shop owner is reporting 30-40 high end handguns stolen. WOW....   Thieves are the scum of the earth!   Dave
  4. And I'll start it off tomorrow!   Dave
  5. What an awesome offer! This is why TGO is such an awesome place to be!   Dave
  6. Thanks TDR. I think I'll find an elderly person to pass it on to tomorrow, or leave it as a tip at the restaurant where we are holding our meeting.   Dave
  7. Very good idea's folks. I'll be at Campbell's Kitchen for a meeting with our battery (Civil War Artillery), and I'll make some stranger's day. That's the only way I'll feel right about this 20.   Dave
  8. That's absolutely funny right there, because my hair and beard is longer than it has been since the 60's/70's!! Good advice!   Dave
  9. Kinda what I think too. I just know I don't feel right having it.   Dave
  10. Folks, while my Daughter and myself was shopping at Wally World this morning, I had the absolute weirdest thing happen to me. Me and my Daughter was looking at frozen vegetables to put in a pot of Venison Stew. While we were standing there a nicely dressed Black Lady (in her mid to late 30's) walked up to me and said "Sir; back over Christmas a total stranger paid for some groceries for me. God says I must give this to you". The Lady handed me a twenty dollar bill. Then she said "God is Great" and then walked away. I caught up to her and said "Ma'am, I can't take your money from you", and then she said "it isn't mine to give, it's God's". She again walked away. I caught up to her again and argued with her a few and she again walked away. I'm at a total loss...I don't know what to do with this 20. Give it to a homeless person?    Dave
  11. OK, I don't want to sound dumb here (well maybe so) but what caliber is an AR10?   Dave
  12. Sir I can't wait!   Dave
  13. Buddy If I lived closer I'd process her for you with no charge of course!   Dave
  14. Awesome Doe Brother!!! Congrats on meat in the freezer! You know we are waiting on a hunting story right? Looks like you turned her lungs to mush! Dave
  15. All the stars have to be aligned just right for me!   Dave
  16. Buddy, if I lived closer I would surely take you up on that. In the past, we always had good luck with two hunters. One with rifle (for long shots) and one with shotgun. There is nothing more challenging than calling in Yotes!   Dave
  17. At one time, they were plentiful here in Montgomery County. There was a hunting reserve here that offered Pheasant hunts. It was nothing to find released pheasants flying around on the WMA and private property surrounding the hunt reserve. As per TWRA...shoot on site!! Well...OK LOL   Dave
  18. Yes   Dave
  19. I have total respect for the game I hunt. Deer are beautiful animals to watch, but population control is control.   Dave
  20. How cool is this?   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qrSa6vjjRHo   Dave
  21. How can you be in the wrong thread?? LOL Just Kidding Brother!   Dave
  22. He looks like he's getting ready to jump in that picture! Dave
  23. Dress warm Brother! Good Luck!   Dave
  24. I remember a time when your ratchet would break and you could exchange it and get a new one. About six years ago, I took an almost new 3/8th drive ratchet in for exchange because mine broke. I got a ratty beat up looking one in exchange. When I questioned it, the sales person said they give out "rebuilt" ones, because people were buying junk ones at yard sales and exchanging them for new ones. I was done with sears tools at that point. Then it didn't help when I found out that Craftsman Power Tools were manufactured by Ryobi which is way cheaper than the Craftsman name to begin with. I found this out when I sent a Craftsman saw in for repair and it came back from Ryobi. That's when I found out that Ryobi made power tools for sears. So now, I just by Ryobi.   Dave
