  1. I thought about opening my shop back up. As for now, just doing mounting work for my family, friends and anyone who'll buy me a "cold one" allows me more time to do the type of mount they want. I am not advertising by no means....but I'll take on a mount now and then. Troll...we thought you fell off the planet dude!
  2. Thank you sir...I appreciate that!
  3. Think you sir!
  4. Nice looking buck...hopefully you'll get him this year. I'm starting to see a few nice ones on my property too...can't wait till bow season!
  5. Mr. Gnarley D. Pigg is finaly finished and is on display in my "guy room"!
  6. Awesome video! "Leash Law" enforcement at it's finest!
  7. Alot of hands on time....I'd have to figure it all up. I have some dates on my website, but alot of the time, the pig spent his time drying between mounting steps. Total "time" to date, I would say a month and a half. But most of that is idle time.
  8. Thank you all for the nice comments. I put many many hours into mounting Mr. Pigg. Can't wait to get another!
  9. Nah...101...tired of running from them! That's why I only take people I know I can "outrun". I out run them, they are the ones that need to out run the pigs. What are friends for, right?
  10. Welcome Jacob!
  11. Thank you so very much. We (me and the grandkids mostly) have an awesome time! We love sharing our adventures (even misadventures) with our friends!
  12. If some of you remember, I harvested this wild boar with bow back on the opening day of turkey season. I did a full body mount on the hog, and here is a picture of him ready to go on his display base. The mounting process was photographed, and is on my website.
  13. So right you are Whiskey...I don't need a four wheeler. As long as you are my hunting budddy, I'll let you carry my guns and drag critters for me....promlem solved! LOL
  14. Bought a dump cart today. Really confused about the best gun rack though. Another question crosses my mind though. Do you use your 4-wheeler to go to your stand or leave it at your vehicle until you take a game animal. If you use it to go to your stand, how far away do you park it? I know these may sound like stupid questions, but this 4 wheeler deal is new to me! Any advice would be appreciated.
  15. I like that bag system. I'll have to get one of those. The guys at work want me to go on a trail ride at LBL, so bags will be handy. What is everyone's opinion of bow/gun racks on the handlebars? I'm with "Whiskey", I don't think I would like the gun boots.
  16. I appreciate everyone's sujestions. All were great ideas to help me get going. Thanks a bunch!
  17. Me and my grandbaby on my new toy!
  18. It's the Polaris Sportsman 350 Magnum. You guys that have 4 wheelers rigged up for hunting, I need your ideas.
  19. I got ahold of a new hunting toy today, and need some advice. I bought a 2006 Polaris 4 wheeler with 30 hours/80 miles on it. The guy I bought it from said it's not even broke in yet. I got it for what I think is an awesome price. It's been garage kept, and all Shannon has done with it is work his yard. Anyways, It's pretty bare bones, and I need some sujestions from you experienced folks...What do I need to do to make this the ultimate hunting machine? I will post some pics soon.
  20. My hat is off to anyone who killed a turkey. I can't do it for some reason....pigs are dumb enough for me though!
  21. WOW...my mom lives in guntersville. I didn't even know that place was there!
  22. I've never had G/H, does it get tough like squirrels and rabbit when fried? I remember as a kid, my Grandpa talking about making or repairing harness and shoes with ground hog hide! Never did get to eat one.
  23. Here are two country hams that I cured and smoked. These were made from a recently harvested feral hog.
  24. In my whole life I have only seen a "wolve" on a squirrel one time....in February. I don't let it stop me from hunting. I have seen more of them crawling out of deer noses, than on squirrels.
