  1. If you are refering to Cross Creeks, bow only for deer unless you are drawn for a quota hunt. Fort Campbell also has great hunting for deer and turkey. I'll shoot you a PM in the morning.
  2. There are good opportunities in your area. One of the best is the LBL area. Another good one is the Big Sandy area near Paris. We hunt LBL with bow for deer, and we rabbit and squirrel hunt there also.
  3. VW Bug is about like a .22 magnum right? LOL
  4. Rightwinger...how do like like that 444 Marlin? Been thinking about getting one.

  10. I know a few guys at work that travel out and hunt public land in Colorado every year. I seem to remember ( I could be wrong), that a cow tag costs about 250 and a bull tag cost 500. They wanted me to go last year. They say they go out and camp, hunt ect., all for about 1500 if I remember right.
  11. Troll I hope not....Got a bunch of tanning to do, and hunting, and fishing and ect., ect. My first official act is to go on a guided pig hunt with dogs. I have always wanted to hunt trophy hogs with dogs, and I hear the adrenaline rush is "unreal"!

  24. I don't know if this is they right forum to post this...but here goes. I would like to announce to all my TGO friends on the hunting forum that I am retiring from Government service after 36 years. After serving in the military as an MP Wildlife Officer and a 22 year stint with the Fort Campbell Fire Department, I've turned in my "hero gear" and am retired from service as of 30 June. It is my plan to travel around the state and hunt whatever! Any of ya'll need a good hunting buddy..."I'm your huckleberry"! I plan on a pig hunt soon and the hunt out east ya'll have been talking about! Thirty six years of service is enough! I can't wait to meet some of ya'll!
  25. I haven't heard much on that round for hunting nothing but Germans. Our local gunshop sells a ton of ammo for it, so it must be an awesome round for at least deer. I want to follow this thread as I am interested in that round also.
