  1. If you're able to put a shot in the kill zone.....go for it!
  2. Really nice pictures Rob!
  3. From the Tennessee hunting regulations "Illegal methods" "Firearms or archery equipment with any device utilizing an artificial light capable of locating wildlife. Night vision scopes are illegal."
  4. Good job Rob...awesome story too!
  5. Good information...thanks for passing it along!
  6. If anything attacks my goats and chickens at night, it's going to die! I think there is a difference between shooting a yote at night with a shotgun, opposed to having your rifle rigged out with "night scopes" and "spotlights". It all boils down to if your neighbors call the sherriff after they hear the gunshots or not!
  7. Adam, that is an AWESOME thing you're doing! My hat's off to ya buddy!
  8. Here, I was starting to feel bad for you...NOT! Have a safe trip David!
  9. WHAT Da' ?????
  10. It was nice meeting the folks I haven't met before, and Whiskey's company is always enjoyed. Good to see Alana again too. Next time I'll bring more Wild Boar snack sticks, and hopefully it won't be so dry and windy, and ya'll can shoot the flintlocks. Had a great time....can't wait until next time. I'll get a couple of pictures posted in the morning! Robertnashville and Gun Troll....nice meeting you guys!
  11. It finaly rained here this afternoon. Some us of "TGO'rs were at the range when it started lightning and raining. So glad we got some! Had an AWESOME time at the range too!
  12. David, send us some of that rain and snow....Clarksville is as dry as dessert sand dust!
  13. A one time "Apprentice" license does not require a hunter ed course. Check Fort Campbell for dates also. Call the Montgomery county shooting complex for a schedule also.
  14. I think the weather man hates all of us! But I hunt no matter which way the wind blows, all from the same stand. I just enjoy getting out. Me, Rob and another friend is taking our bows to the refuge this afternoon for some dried up swamp stalking. Give me a call if you would like to go with us.
  15. Maybe we can all start putting some faces with names now!
  16. I picked up a new handgun today. It matches my wife's new wedding ring set perfectly! I got me a Ruger GP100 .357 Magnum. I've wanted one for a few years and decided to go on and make a move on one. It worked out good since my wife wanted a new wedding ring set! Good trade if you ask me! So I will have it at the range with me Sunday.
  17. The gates are usually open a little before the building is. Whiskey....you smart *** !
  18. Olive green ford expedition. I hope Whiskey rides his Mule!
  19. Is everyone still in? It will be myself (bringing my 1911 officer's model .45acp, Ruger .308 and my .50 cal flintlock Kentucky Rifle). My 14 year old daughter (who is an awesome shooter and hunter) will be there with her NEF 7mm/08 deer rifle. I have a friend who is supposse to come also.
  20. Since Night scopes are not allowed by law in Tennessee, please delete this post!
  21. NICE J/W! Is it .50 or .54? Save a "ball" for me brother, I want to crank one off on it!
  22. OK....I ain't going if I go either! How's that buddy? Think I'll bring one of my flintlocks too. If someone wants to shoot.
  23. How do you explain "loss of habitat" on wildlife refuges and WMAs where there is plenty of habitat. All I know is, is that something is going on!
  24. In the last couple of years while out rabbit hunting, I have seen a half dozen quail at most. I've been hunting lately around hundreds of acres of dried and harvested corn....not one bird! The area also has some "feral hogs" and I've read that those hogs will destroy ground nesting birds to eat their eggs. It's like candy to them! Geese, ducks, turkey and quail nest all fall prey to hogs!
