Sir; the best thing you could do (which led to my HATRED of Turkeys) is attend a meeting of your local chapter of the NWTF (National Wild Turkey Federation). They have members that are more than willing to take you under their wing, and teach you how to turkey hunt. I know there is a Middle Tennessee chapter in the Nashville/Franklin area. I was a member here, but now I HATE TURKEYS SO BAD.....I QUIT! Good luck to you sir!

I want to know more about those broadheads. I have some mechanical (I forget what brand) broadheads that I'm going to use on turkeys this year. I may look into "Shwacker" for use on deer. Are they available local or do I need to order them?

I hate Turkeys because they mess up my Deer Hunting, scare the crap out of me while I'm hunting and most of all, I have planted 2 1 acre food plots (for DEER) and the turkeys have dug it up twice. I have replanted them 3 times due to them "dirt scratchers". I don't think they are very good to eat. When it comes to turkeys....It's gotten personal! The food plots were put in for deer, quail and dove. No where did I say Turkeys!

We'll all make it happen Brother...There will be some deer to share.

I have not read the handgun regs this year yet. I can't see anyone hunting with a handgun with anything less that a 4 inch barrel!

Deer season starts in a couple weeks. I'm sure we can all come up with something.

I use mechanical broadheads. I'll ask my son today, he's up to the latest on "broadheads" and "broadhead whompabilty". I'll see what he knows.

All joking aside, I spray all my clothes and boots down with scentaway. I put a couple sprays of fox pee pee and persimmon on my clothes. I also use a scent drag soaked in "doe in esterus", while I walk to my stand. I have had bucks actually follow my trail to my stand. To quote the famous actor "Robert Devall" in Apocolypes Now..."I love the smell of Doe Esterus in the morning!"

No sir, that's not what I meant. I give them a deer, and they are happy with it. I usually have several for my self that I am willing to share with someone. Them folks may not even want one this year, I haven't asked them yet. I have plenty to go around.
