Right on 101!!!

I give up trying to post pictures...this doesn't work like it used too.....

I see a raccoon track, and possibly a deer /pig track. Neither one would be as wide as your hand...I just don't see a bear track or a horse, or a chicken. Not even a Zombie track! I see a coon and a deer. A deer track is about 2 inches wide. The "coon" track next to it does not exceed it's width. You are dealing with perhaps a very large coon. It doesn't even look close to a bear track.

I would love to go. Working this weekend. The Sipsey Wilderness is awesome. I like hunting feeding/rooting areas at daylight and wallowing areas midday. The thickest stuff in the area is also a good buy.

Cool. I guess I need to start looking. Don't morels sell for several hundred dollars a pound on the internet?

Has anyone looked around for any mushrooms while out turkey scouting? I heard a few "shrooms" were starting to show up. I haven't been out looking yet. I know where the turkeys are, but I'll give the Morels a couple more weeks.

I used to have a friend who baked them with sweet potatoes. Never tried it myself though.

There is a Quail and Pheasent reserve in Clarksville. It is "Burnt Oak" reserve. I love that place! I never hunted there but their pheasents escape to the local WMA and I kill the h*** out of them! Look them up and you could get a phone number.

I'd love to keep my hog hunting money in Tennessee.....but that's another story. Alabama welcomes Hog Hunters!

My family lives there in Decator and my brother bow hunts the area alot. I hunt it with flintlock rifle most of the time.

If you don't want to deal with the problem yourself, contact your TWRA Regional HQ and/or your local Officer. Most of the time, they have a list of people looking for places to trap beaver. This may help your problem. It's worth a try....

It sounds like you're seeing "Muskrat" and not a beaver. Just thinking.....

If legal in your area, shoot them out. If not, take up trapping. Conibear traps work real well on beaver. Leg holds work too. Just follow the regs. If I lived closer, I would love to take care of your beaver problem. I love trapping them (and hunting them)!
