  1. Well folks, I'd love to continue our little debate, but I need to get going. I'm heading to Nashvegas for tonight's Titan's game. Got to get there early enough to grab a parking spot at 4th and Broadway. Y'all have a blessed day!   Dave
  2. That's not the point I'm trying to get across Mike. I get it just fine. The point I'm trying to get across is the thug busting through my back door doesn't need to have access to Body Armor. If you're a law biding citizen as you are, if you want it and can afford it...go for it. Make procedures that have to be followed to get it. Just anyone buying body armor off of ebay and through the mail is what needs banned.   Dave
  3. I must ask y'all something? Do you now own body armor and wear it 24/7? If not, what's the big deal then? If things are that bad that we/you/us need body armor, we might want sit down and evaluate our lifestyles. All I'm doing is voicing my opinion. It doesn't mean I'm a leftest, commy or anything else. I'm a combat veteran of this great country and am very thankful our enemies at the time didn't have body armor, just like I don't want them having it now.   Dave
  4. It's just my opinion is all. I don't think body armor needs to be offered for sale to the general public. Maybe after going through a background check, yes. Buying the stuff in the gun department in Walmart or a gun shop no. Just my :2cents: !   Dave
  5. I just have one question here, before I consider said Petition; what are us "law biding citizens" going to do "IF" body armor ISN'T banned, and punks, thugs and other less desirables start wearing body armor to do their home invasions, robberies and other thuggish acts with? Body armor going into the hands of everyone that wants it scares the hell out of me!   Dave
  6. Nice! Welcome to the "Crossbow Brotherhood"!   Dave
  7. Same here. I usually try and hit one of the pre-season games as it does showcase some of the new talent. Also, tickets to the pre-season games seem to be easier to find. I'll hit a couple regular season games this year if I can. Shooting for tickets for the Jaguars and Colts games.   GO TITANS!!   Dave
  8. Y'all kill'n me! LOL   Dave
  9. I'm glad you worked that out for me, as I have always sucked at math. I told my high school Algebra teacher that she was wasting her time trying to teach me that crap, and that I would never use it. Well, that was in 1972 and here it is 2014, and I haven't needed to use it yet. So, chalk one up for me! Sorta....   And if my math has it right, I'll be celebrating my 40th wedding anniversary (August 28th) with the same wonderful wife and person I met in second grade. Life is good!   Dave
  10. I'm a die hard Titans fan and was a Packers fan for many many years. I have tickets to Saturday's game at LP Field. Anyone else going?   Dave
  11. I'm 59 and Slappy's message hits home with me as well. I'm not 28 anymore, but I still approve of his message! Post well written Slappy!   Dave

    spiders

Not trying to hijack the thread, but I caught this picture yesterday at the trout stream of this monster spider eating this live frog! I want to think it is a "trapdoor" spider but not sure. They all creep me out! Dave
  13. Do we have the same parents? Then my brother called me on Father's Day and chewed me out "again" for not calling a certain person and wishing them a "Happy Father's Day". Wow, I thought I was the only one to live a hellish childhood. Sorry for your pain Gordon.   Dave
  14. I'm sitting here in total disbelief that the OP is even discussing such a personal matter on a public forum. Well, y'all sure gave him plenty of advice to follow. Now it's all up to him!   Dave
  15. Welcome home to Clarksville!   Dave
  16. I haven't been on TGO much due to health reason's, but it is still the best place to come to. Some days better than others I suppose. TGO David and the "gang" do an awesome job keeping TGO a nice place to hang out. Keep up the good work...   Dave
  17. I'm thinking maybe a new crossbow. I can't even draw a 45# bow right now. Maybe a crossbow and cocking device, I'll get out on a deer with an arrow. We'll see...   Dave
  18. I'm not aware of any muzzleloader that fires like this. A fine tuned flintlock goes bang at the pull of the trigger. I understand what you're saying though...alot of people think that. It's actually quite the opposite!   Dave
  19. Blackberries, peppers, 2 pigs, green beans, a bunch of fish and whatever else presents itself to be frozen in the near future!   Dave
  20. Your driver's license is permission for the stop. They will be checking for D/L, DUI, Registration and Financial Responsibility. Your only legal recourse is to stay off the road or avoid 79/Dover Rd. I hate to bust your bubble, and I DO NOT agree with it...but, it's their right! If you don't believe me...tell them "NO" and see how that works out for you!   Dave
  21. Give a bird a piece of bread, and you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish with that piece of bread...PRICELESS!!!   Dave
  22. Folks, this isn't going to sound good for us gun owner's, but he wasn;t "stabbed", he was "shot". You can only get "shot" from a "gun". Just another feather in the anti's hat!   Dave
  23. I've been following "Roman's" story from day one, and I think you have one humdinger of a four legged friend there! I love his facebook pictures!   Dave
  24. A Target rep stated on the news that they were not banning firearms from their stores. All they ask is that you concel it! Simple enough!!!   Dave
  25. Pepperoni, Mushrooms and Anchovies. Got to have Anchovies!   Dave
