  1. A Nashville judge has just clear him of all charges. Oh boy...now he can keep acting like an ass!   Dave
  2. Ah, the 160th....I worked Destiny Crash alot. I always hated going to "The Dark Side" in the fire truck. The other nic name we had for it was "Disney Land". Too much secret squirrel stuff went on over there for me! Now we sit out in front of the hangers on the parking ramp and pop deer on the runway. Night Stalker land!   Dave
  3. I don't own one but have shot a friends. They are a blast to shoot!   Dave
  4. I seem to be able to find flint laying just about every where. Smaller pieces can be had in some limestone driveways. Nodules are a little harder to find, but they are around. Dixie Gunworks used to sell nodules. I don't know if they still do. I do need to learn to knap flints though. Just seems fitting and all.   Dave
  5. Sam, if you don't mind me asking, did you buy this sauce locally or over the internet? And, do they have other flavors?   Dave
  6. I'd be number 3, but I already have one. It's amazingly good! Come on number 3...jump on the wagon!   Thanks again Sam   Dave
  7. Man, have I heard that many times before!   Dave
  8. I guess we'll meet by the boat at the front of the store at 9.   Dave
  9. If you find an extra....well, I know a fella who may be interested! One of the nice things about a flintlock, you can usually find a suitable "rock" to use to fire your rifle in an emergency while out hunting. I have yet to this day find a "cap" laying on the ground to be able to fire a percussion gun. And yes, I have left my caps at home before...   Dave
  10. No Sorry Brother....Nashville.   Dave
  11. Sunday at 9 sounds good Shaun! Let's get some more to go...come on TGO guys and gals!   Dave
  12. I just spewed my beer!   Dave
  13. Bass Pro is having a Labor day weekend Hunting sale. I want to go Saturday or Sunday. Let's get a group together and meet at BP and have a guys day out and maybe pull in some lunch or coffee!   I would love to meet some of y'all.   Dave
  14. I received a bottle of Hot Sauce from a fellow TGO'r in the mail today. It is called "Gib's Hellbanero Fire". Habanero Sauce. The name scared me a tad, but I put some an a Wild Boar Sausage patty and the flavor was amazing. One of the best hot sauces I've had....   Thank You for the sauce Sam!   Dave
  15. Bob; It sounds like you went in the right direction with your flints. I think you will like the larger flint. I have no experience with Triple 7, but I can tell you that when Pyrodex cost me my Buck of a lifetime in my Hawken Rifle, I said it then and I say it now....I will never use anything other than true and pure Black Powder. I have never tested Triple 7. I have never had a reason to.   FFFG is fine in a Flinter, as it is finer and ignites miliseconds ahead of FF. Some people may disagree. My experience proves otherwise. If you look at FF and FFF layed side by side, you can see a slight difference in granule size. And my powder of choice if GOEX. And Black powder is measured by volume no matter if it is 1F or 3F!   You are really off to a good start! I wished I could help you with Triple 7 but I can't.   I'm glad you got a frizzen stall. Number 1 safety Item for us Flinters!   Have a blessed day..   Dave
  16. Good point Mike!   Dave
  17. Unless I'm fishing, hunting or on my own property, I CC. I do not have a problem with those that OC, however, I've encountered a few fellas lately apparently doing their "Wally Walk" while OC'ing. Do us all a favor in that if you OC, take the chip off your shoulder and leave it at home! Holster type to me is up to the individual. Since I CC 99.99% of the time, I do not want a retention holster to slow me down.   Dave
  18. Congrats and good luck!   Dave
  19. Well said Lowpower. It's the brass barrel that would scare me away from using BP substitutes in the cannon. I don't know enough about them to compare pressures between them and traditional BP. I stear clear of them!   Dave
  20. If you want noise and smoke, use black powder. Noise and a little smoke, the substitutes are fine as long as it's approved for use by the manufacturer. Black powder is a safe stable powder if stored in it's original container away from excessive heat and sparks. Under no circumstances should you ever use modern smokeless powder. Your cannon should have came with a good set of instructions. Follow them to the letter! Storage requirements are the same for both types of powder. Those little signal cannons can be a lot of fun...but can be dangerous!   Dave
  21.   Why? I somehow thought Jackson got whacked many years ago. I haven't heard of anyone going to Jackson in forever. That's why I asked if you were serious. Fort Polk (little Vietnam), Fort McClellan, Fort Benning and Fort Bragg holds a special place in my heart.   Thank You for your service Fitty%!   Dave
  22. Lincoln is the ugliest in my book. Now, for the catagory of the most worthless...well, BHO has it hands down!   Dave
  23. I like different hot sauces for their flavors and what it adds to the food. I like to "enjoy" my meals and do not enjoy the pain that some hot sauces are made to inflict! I think those evil "burn your face off" sauces are made as novelties. No way can anyone enjoy eating something that will destroy your meal and your face!   Dave
  24. No, but kinda scared of the Habanero sauces. I'll give it a try though.   Dave
  25. Do we have an Official Hot Sauce thread yet? Man I love me some hot sauce!!!   Dave
